Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Body Sect

"Pavilion Master, who was that just now?"

After Willow God left, Lei Yao and Ling Yun hurried over, their steps hurried.

They reached Jiang Li's side and gazed upstairs, their eyes filled with shock.

The terrifyingly powerful aura they had just experienced still lingered in their hearts.

They dared not act rashly, but fortunately, the person posed no threat to the Pavilion Master.

"She comes from another powerful world. Don't worry, she won't harm us."

Jiang Li, unsure of how to explain, simply brushed it off, a faint smile plastered on his face, attempting to soothe them.

Ling Yun and Lei Yao, though suspicious, didn't press the issue further.

They exchanged a glance, nodded slightly, and temporarily lowered their guard. They returned to their respective posts, making final preparations for the upcoming auction.

Time passed slowly, and the night flew by in a flash.

Today was the day of the Xingchen Auction Pavilion's auction.

As early as yesterday, Jiang Li had instructed Lei Yao to distribute the carefully prepared invitations through various channels as quickly as possible to every corner of Douluo Continent.

From ancient and mysterious factions to powerful empires, everyone was eagerly anticipating the auction, sending representatives to the Xingchen Auction Pavilion.

In a secluded valley on Douluo Continent, surrounded by mountains, lies the Douluo

Continent's foremost sect—the Body Sect. Within the Body Sect's main hall, a solemn and dignified atmosphere reigned.

The current sect leader, Du Bu Si, sat at the main seat. His face was stern, his eyes revealing a sense of age-honored dignity.

He wore a black robe embroidered with golden patterns, which gleamed mysteriously under the dim halllight.

Standing before Du Bu Si was a young man: Long Aotian.

Long Aotian stood tall and straight, like a majestic pine tree, brimming with youthful energy and vitality.

His martial spirit is skin. He is the strongest of the younger generation of the Body Sect and the Young Master.

His spirit has awakened to the Silver level, a rare talent in the entire history of the Body Sect.

He held a golden invitation in both hands and said respectfully, "Master, this is the invitation from the Star Auction Pavilion yesterday. Would you like to attend the auction being held there today?"

Long Aotian's words were like a stone dropped into a calm lake, stirring ripples.

Du Bu Si frowned slightly, lost in thought.

A month ago, news of the Star Auction Pavilion's auction spread like wildfire across the Douluo Continent.

At that time, several Titled Douluo within the Body Sect, including those above the rank of Sect Master, entered a deep retreat, seeking a breakthrough.

Before their retreat, they had strictly forbidden anyone from disturbing them unless it was a matter of catastrophic importance to the sect's survival.

It was precisely because of this that the Body Sect missed out on the auction and the legendary Ultimate Fire Spirit.

Thinking of this, Du Bu Si's heart was filled with regret.

He still remembered the regret and resentment he felt when he returned from retreat and learned the auction was over and the Ultimate Fire Spirit had been bought by someone else.

Now, news of another auction was coming from the Xingchen Auction Pavilion.

A solemn look flashed across Du Bu Si's eyes. He abruptly stood up, his hands clasped behind his back, and spoke in a deep voice.

"Why not attend? I missed out on the Ultimate Fire Spirit last time, so I can't give up this time, no matter what." Du Bu Si's voice echoed through the hall, resolute and forceful.

He glanced at the invitation in his hand, its delicate patterns and gilded calligraphy.   "A ninth-level soul guide? Interesting! I hope there are other things besides this treasure that will amaze me."

Du Bu Si's lips curled up slightly, revealing a hint of anticipation.

He waved his hand and shouted, "Pass the order! All sect leaders, follow me to the Star Auction Pavilion!"

With Du Bu Si's command, the main body of the sect suddenly became bustling.   After a while, Du Bu Si strode out of the sect master's hall, his eyes sweeping over the crowd. Then, with a nod, he led them towards the Star Auction Pavilion.

Inside the Star Auction Pavilion, Jiang Li stood by the window of his room, quietly overlooking the bustling crowd below.   He secretly mused, intending to personally preside over the auction this time.

Now that he had attained the invincible realm, this was undoubtedly a powerful trump card.

As long as he remained within the auction hall's perimeter, nothing could threaten his safety.

To ensure the smooth running of the auction, Jiang Li placed the high-level puppet he had previously acquired at the entrance of the auction hall.

It stood silently there, like an impenetrable fortress, guarding the Star Auction Hall's safety.

As the auction drew closer, a steady stream of people poured into the Star Auction Hall like a tide.

Just then, the Shrek Academy group arrived.

At the forefront were Moon En, Elder Xuan, and Yan Shaozhe, all veterans of Shrek Academy, formidable and highly respected.   Behind them followed a group of young students, the future stars of Shrek Academy, their eyes filled with curiosity and excitement.

As Moon En and the others arrived at the entrance of the Star Auction Hall, their gazes were instantly drawn to the high-level puppet.

The puppet exuded a mysterious and menacing aura that involuntarily stopped them in their tracks.

A flicker of curiosity flashed in Moon En's eyes. He carefully examined the puppet, awestruck.

He had never seen such a delicate humanoid metal object before. Judging from the aura it emanated, if it were to move, it would likely possess the strength of even the lowest Titled Douluo.

Elder Xuan, standing nearby, was equally astonished by the puppet, a look of astonishment on his face.

Soon, Yan Shaozhe curiously inquired, "Fan Yu, can you tell the origin of this object?"

Fan Yu, an eighth-level soul engineer at Shrek Academy with profound expertise in soul guides, was also captivated by the metal humanoid soul guide.

He frowned slightly, pondering for a moment before shaking his head and saying, "I'm not entirely sure, but judging by its appearance and the aura it exudes, it's likely a soul guide I've never seen before."

Fan Yu's curiosity was piqued, and he couldn't help but take a few steps forward, eager to get a closer look at the mysterious humanoid soul guide.

The moment he approached the puppet, two red rays of light suddenly shot out from its eyes, like two sharp swords, slicing through the air.
