JokerX gazed out from behind the couch. His heart was pounding rapidly. His men were there. They stood close to the main entrance. They did not move.
They were not firing their weapons. They merely stood motionless. Their expressions were terrified. They regarded the boy covered in blood as if he were a monster.
JokerX got it. His men were too afraid to engage in combat. They had all been beaten by this one boy. JokerX felt cold. This job came with a lot of money. However, the value of this boy outweighed the money. He was unique. He posed a threat.
JokerX was furious. His men were cowards, which infuriated him.
Because he had made a significant error, he was upset with himself.
He shouted, "What are you waiting for?" He spoke in a tremulous tone. "Just killing him!"
