As the girls reached the studio, they were panicked. They stepped out of the car and walked toward the building. Nian noticed that the lights in the room were turned off. She squinted and asked, "Xuanye, what are these boys doing with the lights off?"
Xuanye peeked inside while walking and replied, "Maybe they're checking the lights. We'll know once we step in."
Nian nodded nervously. The girls stood in front of the door. Dino, noticing their arrival, giggled and whispered, "Guys, they're here! It's our turn!" The boys started jumping in place excitedly. When the girls opened the door, the boys froze like statues.
The room was dark. Nian looked around, confused. She glanced at Xuanye, who widened her eyes. "Jun, where are you?" Nian called out while Jun tried to suppress his laughter.
"Did they go outside?" Xuanye asked.
Nian shook her head. "Shall we check the café, Xuanye?" she suggested.
Xuanye nodded. Just as they were about to turn, Zheng turned on a golden spotlight. It landed perfectly on DK and Minghao. "Nian~ Ye~" their voices called softly.
The girls froze. Their hands trembled as they looked at each other. "Why are they here?" Xuanye whispered.
"I think they found out," Nian replied nervously.
They turned around and saw DK in a white shirt tucked into blue jeans, and Minghao in a grey shirt with blue jeans. The golden light enveloped them, making them look like they were glowing.
Nian's lips trembled. Her hands were sweaty. She was overwhelmed, her heart racing. Xuanye's voice quivered, "Hao…"
Nian smiled shakily. "Loudie…"
DK smiled brightly. "Nian, when I first saw you, I thought you were just a normal college student. But the way you talked to us like we weren't idols—just normal people—I started falling for you without realizing it."
He chuckled. "But when you threw me down thinking I was a stalker… that's when I fell for you completely. Since then, I've only fallen deeper. You cared for me, made me happy. I'll always be your sunshine—your happyvirus. You even gave me that name. And you planted our love as a chamomilla flower."
The spotlight dimmed on DK and lit up Minghao.
Xuanye looked on, eyes wide and tearful.
Minghao smiled. "Ye, you are the sparkle in my life. I'm usually quiet and don't open up easily. But you, with your loudness and sass, made me laugh. When you told me to smile freely, something changed inside me. I realized I loved you—not because I figured it out, but because you showed me love in your small ways. Other than my members and family, no one cared for me like that. You made me feel happy and at peace."
His voice trembled. "When you left me that note, I was broken. The gifts you gave me—I still have them. I don't let anyone touch them."
Nian and Xuanye were both crying now.
"I'll take care of you like my life, Ye. You made me realize what love feels like with the right person."
The room went dark again, then the spotlight focused on DK and Minghao. Hoshi turned on the "Love, Money, Fame" background music. Smoke filled the floor like mist. It felt like they were in a dream.
As DK and Minghao began to sing, the spotlight lit up the rest of the members, who joined in chorus. The girls were in awe. DK held roses and walked toward Nian, Minghao toward Xuanye. It was like stepping into a scene from a music video.
When the hook came, the boys began dancing. DK beamed at Nian; Minghao giggled while looking at Xuanye. The girls cried and laughed at the same time, overwhelmed with joy.
DK handed Nian the rose. She accepted it with tears and a smile. Minghao extended his hand, "Ye?"
Xuanye gave her hand, smiling.
Minghao gently pulled her close, placed his hand on her waist, and lifted her onto his feet. She gasped and held her breath.
"In this journey, I'll guide you toward happiness. Will you walk it with me?" he asked.
She nodded, smiling. "Yes."
DK took Nian's hands. They started singing and dancing. Minghao moved back and forth, resting his forehead against Xuanye's. DK swirled Nian around and hugged her from behind.
The golden light, rose scent, and soft mist wrapped around them like a divine blessing. Zheng recorded the moment, smiling behind the camera.
As the song ended, the members stepped back. DK and Minghao held their girlfriends' hands before kneeling.
"Nian, I'm nervous," DK laughed. "But I'm happy I found you."
Nian sobbed. "Loudie, I'm so happy. Even without this grand proposal, I'd still love you. You're my happyvirus."
Minghao smiled at Xuanye. "Ye, you compared me to a sunflower—my face, my nature… and I'll always be your Flutterhao. The one who makes your heart flutter, even during a stomachache."
Xuanye giggled and pinched his cheek.
The boys took out the ring boxes.
In unison, they asked, "Nian, Ye—will you be my wife?"
The girls, through tears, nodded.
"Yes, Loudie, I'll be your wife," Nian said.
Xuanye sobbed. "Flutterhao, you promised to make my heart flutter even after marriage. Keep that in mind!"
The boys, blushing, slipped the rings onto their girlfriends' fingers. Confetti burst. Fire showers sparkled behind them.
The rings sparkled. Nian looked closely. Her eyes widened.
"Wait… is this the chamomilla flower I gave you?"
DK froze. "Y-yeah…"
Nian burst into tears and hugged him. "Loudie… I love you. I can't believe you did this."
DK chuckled in relief. "You scared me! I thought you were rejecting me!"
Xuanye looked at Minghao. He signaled toward her ring.
She saw the sunflower and cried. "Hao… you really put the sunflower I gave you…"
He smiled. She cupped his cheeks. "This is perfect."
The boys shouted, "Kiss! Kiss!"
DK and Minghao pulled their girlfriends close and kissed them.
The boys threw more confetti. Dino peeked through his fingers.
"Boo~ it's the best part! Let me watch!"
Boo covered Dino's eyes playfully. "You're still a kid!"
They giggled.
Jun called the cake shop. Zheng filmed the whole thing, whispering, "May you always stay this happy."
As DK and Minghao leaned back, the girls beamed.
Xuanye whispered, "Nian, we came to surprise them… but they gave us something far more special."
Nian smiled. "They're united. They've found the perfect group. I'll never forget this moment."
Jun approached. "Congrats, Nian and Xuanye. I guess now we call you sister-in-law?"
The girls blushed.
"Yeah, it's time!" Mingyu added. "Sister-in-law!"
The room echoed with cheers.
Nian asked, "Jun, when is the cake coming?"
"They should be here now. I'll check. You two prepare your surprise."
Jun walked out. Xuanye took the mic from Woozi and Wonwoo. She stood beside Nian. Zheng turned the lights off.
The boys panicked. "Did the power go out?"
DK and Minghao called for their girlfriends.
Nian's voice echoed through the mic. "Don't worry, guys."
Xuanye added, "Zheng, spotlight on the boys!"
Outside, Jun saw PD-nim and staff approaching. He greeted them.
"Why are you outside?" PD-nim asked.
"Waiting for cake, sir!"
"Thanks for inviting us. We wouldn't miss this!"
They laughed. The cakes arrived. Jun and PD-nim entered with smiles.
Xuanye opened the door.
"DK, Vernon—happy birthday!" Nian shouted. Confetti burst. PD-nim joined them as the spotlight lit up the room.
DK and Vernon froze, overwhelmed.
Cakes were placed before them. "Happy birthday," Nian beamed.
PD-nim began singing. The boys joined. DK chuckled, but Vernon cried.
DK teased, "Touched, huh?"
Vernon sobbed. "I thought… you forgot…"
The members hugged him.
"Silly, we'd never forget," Wonwoo said.
"You're special, even in my dreams," Dk whispered.
Xuanye joked, "Don't cry or you'll look ugly in photos!"
They all laughed.
The cakes were their favorites. The boys were touched. Nian whispered, "Ye, we did it."
Xuanye added, "But something's still left."
DK and Vernon blew the candles. Applause filled the room.
Lights went off. A spotlight fell on Nian.
"Loudie," she began softly. "You surprised me first. But I always wanted to sing this song for you. It fits us. It's your song."
She began to sing Happy Virus.
DK's body shook. He leaned on Vernon's shoulder, crying.
