Chapter 231 - Chapter 244: Why Don’t You Just Rob Them Instead?

Chapter 244: Why Don't You Just Rob Them Instead?

"Yuyang City?"

Li Xun's expression froze for a moment, his tone full of surprise.

"You mean the Yuyang City within the domain of the Yin-Yang Holy Land?"

"Exactly."

Elder Xie nodded, then explained further:

"This auction has the support of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. As it happens, the pavilion master of Yuyang City once crossed paths with you, Holy Son."

Hearing this, Li Xun smiled lightly.

"Now that you mention it, I do recall something of that."

Back in the small world of the Great Strength Divine Demon Sect, he had encountered quite a few experts of the Divine Palace Realm. Among them was the Pavilion Master of Myriad Treasures Pavilion from Yuyang City.

That man was no weakling—he stood at the peak of the Divine Palace Realm, only a single step away from Half-Saint. Li Xun had once gifted him a spiritual herb, winning his deep gratitude. Later, during his battle with the Star-Moon Divine Sect's experts, that same pavilion master had even lent his aid.

"Yuyang City lies right on the road toward Crape Myrtle Holy Land. In that case," Li Xun said, smiling faintly, "I might as well stop by on my way and pay Crape Myrtle Holy Land a visit too."

"That would be most helpful, Holy Son."

Elder Xie bowed deeply.

The truth was, apart from the Holy Lord himself, the entire Profound Sun Holy Land hoped Li Xun would attend the Demon-Sealing Conference. Not for any special political reason, but simply because of his strength.

With him representing Profound Sun, even if their Holy Land did not shine too brightly, at least their name would not be trampled upon.

If he refused, though… it would be awkward.

After all, Profound Sun's foundations were shallow. Aside from the Holy Lord at the Divine Palace Realm, nearly 90% of their elders were only in the Life and Death Realm. The few Divine Palace experts they had were all only at the early stage.

Compared to other Holy Lands, whose elders were often late-stage or even peak Divine Palace, Profound Sun simply could not compete.

"It's just a trifling matter."

Li Xun waved a hand dismissively.

With a sweep of his sleeve, a golden divine light surged forth, transforming into a resplendent Golden Divine Chariot, floating in the air before him. Its aura as a Peak-Grade Dao Weapon spread like a rising sun, enveloping the entire peak of the Holy Son's Mountain.

Elder Xie's pupils shrank slightly, his heart surging with waves of shock.

If he remembered correctly, this Golden Chariot had once merely been a Peak-Grade flying Spiritual Treasure. Yet after just a single year, when the Holy Son brought it out again, it had already evolved into a Dao Weapon.

Unbelievable.

"Perhaps the Holy Son's wealth exceeds even the wildest speculations. It may well be that the entire Profound Sun Holy Land combined cannot match even half of his foundation…"

Elder Xie pressed his lips together, a hint of envy in his eyes.

Where exactly had Li Xun acquired such astonishing fortunes? Even robbing several Saints' tombs would not guarantee such richness!

Buzz!

The void trembled.

The Golden Chariot turned into a blazing streak of light, soaring into the skies and vanishing at the horizon in an instant.

"Peak-Grade Dao Weapon…"

Elder Xie murmured to himself, retracting his gaze at last.

"Let us depart as well."

. . . . . . . . . .

Time flowed swiftly.

Half a year passed in the blink of an eye.

Outside Yuyang City, several figures arrived, dust clinging to their robes from their long journey.

At their head was a young maiden.

Her hair streamed freely, her presence ethereal and natural, her beauty otherworldly. Clad in flowing garments, she radiated a trace of the aura of the Grand Dao itself.

The moment she stepped into Yuyang City, her eyes widened in wonder at the sight before her.

"So this is what a city of the Archaic Continent is like? To think it could be so magnificent, so awe-inspiring—it's simply unbelievable!"

"No wonder this continent has birthed so many Emperors in ages past!"

The young maiden's eyes gleamed with awe. Ever since she had arrived on this land, she had yet to truly step foot into a human city. Today was the first time she had laid eyes upon one—and what she saw left her speechless.

One towering hall after another rose like divine peaks, lofty and unshakable, carrying an indescribable sense of oppression.

"This is Yuyang City, within the territory of the Yin-Yang Holy Land," a young man walking behind her explained with a smile.

"With us here, Lady Lu can be at ease. Even if the Golden Crow Clan is powerful, it will be very difficult for their hands to reach this place."

The maiden gave him a faint smile, but did not reply.

These people had joined her only midway through her journey, and she understood their motives all too well.

They were coveting the inheritance in her hands.

Since they harbored such thoughts, she decided she might as well use them as shields. Should the Golden Crow Clan come hunting again, these people might at least serve as disposable pawns.

Another youth, clad in a flowing blue robe, spoke up at this moment. His bearing was heroic, his every movement carrying an edge of sword intent sharp enough to keep the others instinctively at a distance.

Clearly, he was also a young prodigy. His cultivation had reached the late stage of the Divine Power Realm.

Though he was still somewhat lacking compared to the Holy Son and Holy Maiden of the great Holy Lands, compared to ordinary geniuses, he stood far above them.

And as he spoke, his eyes lingered on the maiden's figure, undisguised affection flickering deep within them.

"But it cannot be taken lightly," he said solemnly.

"The Yin-Yang Holy Land may be strong, but compared to the Golden Crow Clan, it still falls short. Lady Lu has slain not one, but two princes of the Golden Crow Clan. Do you think they will let this rest? Even here in Yuyang City, you must remain vigilant."

The maiden ignored his gaze and words alike.

Instead, she walked straight into the bustling streets, stopping at a small roadside stall that dealt in spiritual herbs. She asked the shopkeeper about a few herbs, but before she had even finished her sentence, the stall keeper's face lit up with a wide smile.

"Young lady, if you're inquiring about spiritual herbs, you've come to the right place! Every herb here comes from the small world of the Great Strength Divine Demon Sect. Each one has grown for more than ten thousand years!"

He puffed up his chest with pride.

"You've heard of the Great Strength Divine Demon Sect, haven't you? An ancient sect of unimaginable power! Though the sect was destroyed, their small world was only recently discovered, and now many rare herbs are flowing into the outside world."

"I'll tell you what, since you seem so fated with me, I'll give you a special offer—just ten thousand low-grade spirit stones per herb!"

He raised a single finger and grinned broadly.

"Ten thousand low-grade spirit stones? Why don't you just go rob someone!"

The blue-robed youth immediately stepped forward, glaring at the stall keeper.

He swept his gaze across the herbs and sneered.

"These herbs are three hundred years old at best. And you dare claim they're from the Great Strength Divine Demon Sect's small world?"

"Ha!"

The shopkeeper snorted coldly, refusing to back down.

"Young master, if you don't like my herbs, then by all means—go buy from the Myriad Treasures Pavilion's auction instead. But can you even afford that?"

This was Yuyang City, after all. Experts from the Yin-Yang Holy Land sat in town, and countless mighty figures came and went. Anyone one passed on the street could turn out to be a Holy Land elder.

Because of this, almost no one dared stir up trouble here.

The stall keeper, bolstered by that very confidence, refused to show even the slightest hint of deference to the blue-robed youth.
