Zhu Zhuqing had just arrived in Soto City when she saw Dai Mubai entering a hotel with a pair of twin sisters in his arms. The last straw in her heart, which had barely existed in the first place, completely vanished.

If it weren't for the task assigned by Ye Lan, Zhu Zhuqing would never have stayed at Shrek.

Dai Mubai tightly clenched his fists as he stared at the empty space where Zhu Zhuqing had once stood.

He had no idea what to do to win Zhu Zhuqing back.

These past days, Zhu Zhuqing had acted as if she didn't see him at all. The distance between them grew wider with each passing moment.

Ning Rongrong, watching Dai Mubai's failure, sneered sharply, "Why don't you take a look at your filthy nature, you scoundrel tiger? Zhuqing would never be angry because of someone like you."

Already burning with anger, Dai Mubai turned and glared at Ning Rongrong. "Why haven't you left the academy yet? Weren't you planning to leave?"

"Why do you care whether I leave or not? If it weren't for you and Oscar begging that owl for mercy, Zhuqing and I would have left already," Ning Rongrong retorted.

"Don't test my patience. I pleaded on behalf of Zhu Zhuqing, not you. Don't think I fear your Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. If you provoke me again, I'll kill you first, then humiliate you, then kill you again!" Dai Mubai's evil-eyed white tiger nature erupted fully.

"Oh, I'm sooo scared," Ning Rongrong mocked, covering her mouth as she laughed.

Dai Mubai's pupils turned completely white as a surge of powerful spirit energy exploded from within him.

Tang San immediately sensed danger to Xiao Wu. His dark eyes lit up — he couldn't allow Xiao Wu to be harmed in the slightest.

In an instant, he stepped in front of Dai Mubai and activated the Xuan Tian Skill to shield against the burst of spirit energy.

Ning Rongrong and Oscar weren't as lucky. The blast of energy from Dai Mubai sent them flying on the spot.

Blood trickled from the corners of both their mouths. Seeing Ning Rongrong injured, Oscar rushed to Dai Mubai's side and anxiously said, "Boss Dai, calm down!"

Regaining his senses, Tang San realized he had to grow stronger to protect Xiao Wu. He glanced at Ning Rongrong, thinking the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda might be of use, then patted Dai Mubai's shoulder and said,

"Boss Dai, we're all classmates. Let it go."

"Hmph. I'll let it go this once for Xiao San and Oscar's sake. Ning Rongrong, I don't care who you are. Remember this — don't ever provoke me again!" Dai Mubai said coldly, staring at her with cruelty.

With that, Dai Mubai left the group and disappeared to an unknown location.

Ning Rongrong had never been treated like this in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. Back home, everyone pampered her like a princess.

She wiped the blood from her lips and looked at Tang San. "Tang San, help me kill Dai Mubai. I'll give you ten thousand gold soul coins. And the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan will owe you a favor — anything you ask, we'll do it."

Tang San looked at her and shook his head. "I won't kill a classmate for money or power. If you keep clinging to your entitled attitude, I suggest you leave Shrek Academy as soon as possible."

"Don't you know how powerful the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan is?" Ning Rongrong muttered.

"What does that have to do with me? Xiao Wu, let's go." Tang San pulled Xiao Wu to leave.

Xiao Wu, seeing Tang San recovered, smiled brightly as she led him away. In her heart, nothing mattered more than Tang San.

Ning Rongrong watched them walk away and began to doubt herself.

Was I really the one in the wrong?

But it was Dai Mubai who humiliated me first — he was the one who started the fight.

I was just venting, asking for someone to help me.

If I really wanted to kill Dai Mubai, why would I need Tang San? One letter to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan would be enough.

By tomorrow, Dai Mubai would disappear without a trace.

Still, Ning Rongrong couldn't convince herself she was truly in the wrong. She turned to look at Oscar.

"Oscar, will you help me?" she asked, holding on to a final thread of hope.

Oscar's usually lecherous face showed a hint of sorrow. "Ning Rongrong, the moment I first saw you, I couldn't suppress the love in my heart. Your gentleness back then was what I adored most. So, I chased you with everything I had. Even though our statuses were worlds apart, I summoned the courage. But now, I realize I was wrong."

"I don't like the person you've become. And I won't give up an entire forest for one tree. You're the high-and-mighty princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. And me? I'm nothing but a servant in your eyes. If you don't change your personality, you'll never have a single real friend."

Oscar shook his head and walked away.

But inside, he was far from calm. He thought to himself, I wonder if Boss Dai's plan will really work. I didn't expect everything to unfold so smoothly today. From the headmaster's scolding to Tang San's rejection — all perfectly aligned with the plan. I hope it keeps going well.

Among the new junior girls, it was clear Xiao Wu and Tang San were a pair. Boss Dai had his eye on Zhu Zhuqing. That left the only other girl Oscar found appealing: Ning Rongrong. She was not only beautiful but also the princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. As a commoner, Oscar had no chance of pursuing her through normal means.

So, he asked Boss Dai for advice on how to win her over. Dai Mubai, known as the love guru of Soto City, gave him this idea:

Isolate Ning Rongrong. With no friends around her, when she's at her most helpless, show her concern — and then, her heart would be easy to capture.

But Oscar couldn't isolate her alone, so he begged Dai Mubai to cooperate in executing the plan.

Boss Dai agreed readily. The only price was that Oscar had to introduce his ex-girlfriend to Dai Mubai.

In Oscar's eyes, his ex had no value. But if he could win over the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, he would have nothing to worry about again.

After being rejected by three people in a row, Ning Rongrong's heart was filled with helplessness, loneliness, pain, and sorrow.

She squatted in a corner, hugging her knees, silently crying.

Am I really that terrible?

Do I really not deserve to have friends?

Were the friends I had in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan only kind to me because of my status?

Ning Rongrong kept doubting herself, feeling as if she was completely worthless.

"Are you okay? The little ones are all watching you." A gentle voice entered her ears.

Ning Rongrong looked up, and her gaze froze in place.

She was momentarily dazed.

Golden hair, a noble yet gentle aura — she had only seen such a presence on Big Brother Xue.

But what struck her most was the man's face.

She couldn't look away.

She stared at the blond man for three full seconds before realizing she was being inappropriate.

Turning her head away quickly, she didn't want him to see her tear-streaked face.
