Standing at the countertop, Lin Feng finished preparing the ingredients, then scooped up his little Vulpix.
Vulpix opened her small mouth, releasing a fine stream of icy breath into the mixture. Instantly, a dazzling summer treat was born a refreshing Berry Ice Parfait.

He picked up a piece to taste. The moment the berry cubes hit his tongue, an icy, crisp coolness spread throughout his entire body. Within seconds, he was shivering pleasantly.
The stifling summer heat felt as though it had been completely swept away, leaving him feeling fresh and invigorated.

Even Lin Feng himself was a little astonished by how good his creation turned out.
He could only imagine how refreshing it would be for Trainers traveling in the summer heat to enjoy such a frosty dessert!
And with those two additional effects, this parfait was practically tailor-made for his Ice Vulpix.
Plus, it was a great treat for Snivy and Caterpie as well.
"Ying-ying-ying~"
Beside him, Vulpix was already staring at the parfait, her eyes sparkling as she nuzzled against Lin Feng's hand, completely enchanted by the treat.
"All right, all right. Here you go. You definitely need to eat plenty of this."
Lin Feng chuckled and gently pushed Vulpix's eager face away. He divided the parfait into two portions one to take outside and share with the other Pokémon in the orchard, and the other to store in the fridge for later.
Once everything was set, he brought Snivy and Vulpix out to the orchard and began calling over any Pokémon who could come for a snack. For those who couldn't move around easily, he personally brought the parfait to them.
When he turned back around, he saw that Vulpix was happily munching away, but Snivy seemed… distracted. She was staring blankly at the parfait, lost in thought.
Lin Feng paused, then walked over. "What's wrong, Snivy?"
Milotic and Snivy had been among his first Pokémon, and it was rare for him to see Snivy looking so dazed.
"Snivy…"
Startled by his voice, Snivy snapped out of her trance. She opened her mouth as if to speak, then hesitated, finally shaking her head.
No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't act like Ice Vulpix who could freely cuddle into Lin Feng's arms whenever she wanted, act spoiled, and do as she pleased without a care in the world.
"So weird…"
Lin Feng rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Snivy's mood was obviously a little low.
He could see it plainly on her status panel her Joy value had dropped to 15.
Whenever she ate before, her Joy value was never as easy to boost as some of the other Pokémon's, but it was usually at least above 50.
Not wanting to keep guessing, Lin Feng decided to rely on his secret weapon: the power of Viridian!
The Viridian Power let him directly sense his Pokémon's emotions and he could do it without them noticing.
A soft green energy shimmered around his hand as he gently directed it toward Snivy. As he probed her emotions, Lin Feng's expression turned slightly odd, but he quickly schooled his face back to normal.
After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Is it that the food I made this time doesn't suit your taste?"
"Snivy?"
Snivy blinked in surprise, then quickly shook her head. "Snivy…" (No, it's really delicious.)
The parfait tasted great. The cool, icy sweetness was perfect for her physical constitution.
"Then you must want to be fed."
Lin Feng skewered a piece of the parfait with a small stick and held it out in front of Snivy's mouth. "Come on, open up~"
"Snivy?!"
Snivy's eyes went wide as saucers. Staring at the piece of parfait looming closer and closer in her field of vision, she instinctively tried to back away, waving her short little arms in protest. "Snivy?!"
But Lin Feng didn't relent. He kept pushing the parfait toward her, his voice teasing. "What's wrong? Don't you like it?"
"Snivy…" (No… no, I'm not a baby. Don't feed me like that…)
Snivy's face was a picture of flustered embarrassment. She kept glancing nervously at the other Pokémon around them, clearly worried they'd see her being spoon-fed.
"Oh? So you're saying grown-up Pokémon refuse to let their Trainer feed them?"
Lin Feng grinned wickedly, inching the parfait even closer. "Come on, be good. Open your mouth."
"Snivy…" (This… oh, fine.)
After one more anxious look around to make sure no one was paying attention, Snivy finally opened her mouth and timidly accepted the bite from her Trainer.
Congratulations! Host has increased Snivy's Joy value from 15% to 80%. Rewards granted: one A-rank Leaf Stone, one Medium Rare Candy, and five bags of Medium-Grade Gold Kela fertilizer.
Once she'd eaten the first bite, Snivy still felt a bit tense, worried that the other Pokémon might laugh at her. But she quickly realized that everyone else was simply focused on eating their own food.
Gradually, she relaxed, letting herself enjoy being fed by Lin Feng and even feeling a quiet pride in the special attention.
Though her cheeks were definitely a little flushed…
Having a Trainer… really was nice…
August 2nd. Daytime. In the Kitchen.
"That's it just like that. Use your psychic power to lift the berries and drop them into the blender. Keep your rhythm steady…"
Lin Feng was in the kitchen, instructing Gardevoir on how to make Pokéblocks.
He had to admit, this Level 70+ Gardevoir was an incredibly quick learner. Even the smallest details of Pokéblock crafting seemed to click for her immediately after just a single demonstration.
Of course…
It probably helped that Gardevoir genuinely wanted to learn how to make Pokéblocks.
Either way, she was studying with remarkable focus.

Finally, two batches of Pokéblocks sat on the counter in front of Lin Feng.

Between the two batches, one had been made entirely by Gardevoir on her own, while Lin Feng had stepped in to help finish the other.
