Just three files?
When the Marvel world audience saw only three documents appear, disappointment rippled through the livestream.
They had expected a massive reveal—dozens of cases at once—but only three?
One was SCP-055, which they had already seen.
But then… realization struck.
Three files?
Did that mean Leon Lake's missing memories really were connected to antimemes?
The chat exploded with speculation as everyone stared at the screen, eager to know what secrets Leon's memory gaps might hide.
---
On Screen
The Overseer appeared beside Leon, her eyes cold.
> "The O5 Council has approved your temporary clearance. You are now granted provisional command over Mobile Task Force Eta-10 — 'See No Evil.'"
Immediately, a prompt appeared on the monitor:
> [Mobile Task Force Eta-10: "See No Evil"]
Mission: Specializes in the investigation, retrieval, and initial containment of objects or entities exhibiting visual cognitohazards, visual memetic agents, or any anomaly requiring indirect or alternative means of observation to ensure safe handling.
The audience in the livestream was stunned at first—then erupted into excitement.
> "Wait… they're giving him authority AND manpower?"
"What's the O5 Council playing at?"
"This isn't a Mary Sue drama—there's definitely an agenda here."
"Still… Leon has never had this kind of backup before!"

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters
The agents' chatter mirrored the audience's buzz—until Natasha Romanoff's voice cut through:
> "That doesn't add up. If there's a task force for memetic threats, shouldn't there also be one for antimemetic threats? Even a small unit?"
Nick Fury froze. His one good eye shifted to the Overseer on the screen.
The Council's uncharacteristic generosity… her sudden arrival…
His expression darkened.
Could it be…?
Was there an Antimemetics Division—one the world had simply forgotten?
The thought chilled him. His gut told him to deny it. To push it away. But the more he thought, the more possible—no, probable—it seemed.
---
> "Understood," Leon said flatly.
No questions. No thanks. Just acceptance.
And that, the Overseer seemed to approve of.
---
Without further delay, Leon opened one of the three files.
SCP-2256
> [Project Name]: The Big Thing
[Item #:] SCP-2256
[Object Class:] Euclid
The chat had no time to react before the Overseer spoke again:
> "There are roughly a hundred known cases involving memes or antimemes. Why did you select only these three?"
Leon's answer was strange:
> "Because there are only these three. At least… that's how it feels to me."
He held the file in one hand, idly rubbing the cover with the other, deep in thought.
The Overseer said nothing further, simply reading alongside him.
---
[Special Containment Procedures]
> All information regarding SCP-2256 experiences gradual antimemetic erosion. The erosion rate is proportional to the detail and accuracy of the information, and to the physical complexity of the storage medium.
Scholarly texts, photographs, and digital data degrade quickly; hand sketches and handwritten notes degrade more slowly.
Therefore, electronic records of SCP-2256 must remain superficial. Detailed data—appearance, evolutionary origins, biology, diet, behavior, vocalizations, life cycle, intelligence, ecological role, and cultural significance—are to be preserved in hard copy at Repository 1-053, Site-19.
Both hard copy and sketches must be regularly monitored for corruption. No technology is currently known to halt or reverse this decay.
---
The livestream audience's eyes widened.
Another antimemetic anomaly—different from 055, but just as dangerous.
Where SCP-055 completely erased knowledge of itself, SCP-2256 allowed its information to persist, but only in fragile, temporary ways.
---
[Additional Note]
> This antimemetic property persists and warrants Euclid classification. However, SCP-2256 originally required no containment as it is considered extinct.
The word hit like a thunderclap.
---
S.H.I.E.L.D.
> "Extinct?" Natasha's face paled.
Nick Fury frowned. "That word's for species… living organisms. Are they saying…"
2256 was alive?
---
[Description]
> SCP-2256, The Giant Cryptid, was once native to the Polynesian Islands of the South Pacific.
It is one of the very few known species to have evolved a natural antimemetic camouflage, making it nearly impossible for any creature with perception to detect or remember it.
This adaptation is believed to have evolved as a defense against predators.
---
Stark Industries
> "An animal? A giant animal with built-in antimemetic camouflage? You've got to be kidding me…"
Tony Stark stared at the screen like he'd just seen a ghost.
An entire species—erased from memory by its own biology.
