Chapter 321 - Chapter 318: Posiedon’s  plan

"Well then," Poseidon said lightly, spreading his arms, divine seawater parting before him.

"Safe travels, Asura."

The smile never left his face as Asura God turned and departed, his presence vanishing beyond the temple gates.

Only when the crimson aura had completely faded—

Did Poseidon's expression change. The smile softened like a hypocrite.

His eyes, once clear like calm seas, became deep.

"So…" he murmured, tapping a finger against the Trident resting beside his throne.

"You want me to search for your so-called inheritor."

A faint chuckle escaped his lips.

"And what if," Poseidon continued casually,

"that child already walks a path prepared by another God?"

His eyes narrowed slightly, "What will you do then, Asura?"

Poseidon leaned back against his throne, gaze drifting upward.

Truthfully, he was bored.

The God Realm was eternal, immutable, and suffocating. Endless time passed, yet nothing truly changed. The rules of the God Realm bound him tightly—he could not descend freely, nor interfere openly in the mortal world nor could he leave.

Unless— He found an inheritor for his throne.

By transferring the authority of the Sea God to a mortal, Poseidon would be weakened—but only slightly. His foundation was too deep, his comprehension of divine authority too profound.

After all—

He had personally slain the Angel Goddess.

After her fall, Poseidon had studied her shattered divine authority with great interest. From her Light Authority, he refined and converted it into something new.

Sea God's Light, which now was a divine light that flowed like tides.

Under its radiance: All evil are easily dispelled, All wounds were healed that even death… could be reversed.

And its power bound within the Trident itself gave three supreme effects—

Devil Breaking, Evil Breaking and Shattering.

With these, Poseidon stood firmly at the peak of a First-Level God.

Even if he weakened—

He would still remain a First-Level God.

Which was why he was not in a hurry.

But time was not infinite.

"…I've searched for so long," Poseidon muttered, eyes half-lidded.

"And still, no suitable candidate."

His thoughts drifted.

'That girl—Qian Renxue.'

A flicker of regret passed through his eyes.

"Such excellent talent," he sighed inwardly.

"But born as the Angel's descendant… and worse—targeted by Asura."

Poseidon snorted softly. Too troublesome.

Yet— A slow, knowing smile returned to his face.

"Still…"

His gaze turned toward a distant, abandoned divine structure within the God Realm.

"The Angel Temple has no owner now."

No one noticed when he had tweaked the inheritance settings.

Especially—The tests.

"The first test…" Poseidon murmured, eyes glinting.

"I designed it specifically for her."

"To guide her into becoming a scheming, ambitious ruler."

To a ruler who valued control over faith.

And more importantly—

"If her information spreads," Poseidon said softly,

"who in the mortal world would still be willing to pray to the Angel Goddess?"

Posiedon chuckled.

He did not know, that in the future, beings like him—would one day fear the sound of her name.

Poseidon rose from his throne.

The Trident hummed faintly, waves surging around him.

"Still," he concluded calmly,

"the blurring of fate around Douluo Continent is a problem."

"I suppose…" Poseidon said, tapping the Trident once against the ground.

"It's time to gather information properly."

----

Sea God Island

To outsiders, it was known as Devil Island.

Yet in truth, it was the heart of the seas, at its center rose Sea God Mountain.

The mountain pierced the clouds like a divine spear, its stone surface carved by countless years of wind, rain, and belief. At its summit—

Stood the Sea God Temple.

A structure of white stone and azure crystal, bathed in perpetual sunlight. Within it resided the Sea God Trident, and the one entrusted to guard it—

The High Priestess of Sea God Island, Bo Saixi.

She stood silently within the main hall of the temple.

Bo Saixi was incomparably beautiful.

She wore a flowing white and crimson gown, its long sleeves trailing like gentle waves, embroidered with intricate silver patterns that shimmered faintly under divine light. In her hand was a golden scepter, topped with a sapphire gem that pulsed faintly with oceanic power.

Her ocean-blue hair cascaded down her back like flowing water, reaching the ground without a single strand out of place. Her clear blue eyes were calm yet unfathomably deep.

She was not merely a priestess, but also Poseidon's descendant. Her beauty had made Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen fall in love with her.

Bo Saixi felt a familiar presence descend upon her soul.

The Sea God Temple trembled faintly.

The seawater surrounding the temple stilled completely, as though the entire ocean was holding its breath.

Bo Saixi slowly knelt on one knee.

A vast divine consciousness enveloped her mind, vast and gentle like the sea—yet carrying an undeniable authority that allowed no refusal.

A voice echoed within her soul.

 "Bo Saixi."

Her heart tightened.

"Yes, my Lord," she replied reverently, lowering her head.

"The mainland is changing."

Poseidon's voice flowed like distant tides.

"Fate there has become obscured. Even I cannot see it clearly."

Bo Saixi's pupils contracted slightly.

"You will go to the mainland," Poseidon continued calmly.

"Observe. Do not interfere unless necessary."

Bo Saixi hesitated briefly before asking softly,

"My Lord… has an inheritor already appeared?"

Then a faint chuckle resonated through her consciousness.

"Perhaps or Perhaps not."

"That is why you will look."

Before she could ask further, Poseidon's tone shifted.

 "There is another matter."

Bo Saixi straightened instinctively.

"Retrieve the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud."

"My Lord…" Bo Saixi said slowly, unable to hide her confusion.

"That artifact has been lost on the mainland for many years. Why retrieve it now?"

Poseidon's answer came without hesitation.

"Because it has been isolated by my senses through some means."

Before she could ask, Poseidon added—

"If you encounter the one who carries it… observe carefully."

"Do not reveal yourself prematurely."

Though confused by the sudden command, Bo Saixi did not question it further.

She raised her scepter.

The Sea God Trident behind her resonated faintly, responding to her resolve.

"As you will, my Lord," she said quietly.
