They went to the near of the river. Aeren saw stones across the river. You would be able to cross the river by jumping in that stones. So they did that. Stone after stone, crossing the river bacame easier and easier. Aeren even held all bags on his hands. It was like his wing were rising after every jump. He even realized the breezee of freedom was stroking his wings in every jump.
At the end, they finally crossed the river with ease. "Wow. That was amazing. It was like I've grown wings." said Aeren with excitement.
"You did actually. I've seen it on your back" said the girl.
"What. Really?" Aeren looked confused.
"You're not going to believe me? Look at the river then."
Aeren looked at the river and could not believe his eyes. There were not any stones in the river. It was flowing normally. As always. How did he even cross the river?
"What!? How!?" Aeren was screaming and putting his hand on the river.
"The sword. Obviously. It activated. You wanted a way to cross the river from bottom of your heart, and it appeared."
Aeren was in shock after hearing these words. He even himself didn't realize that stones were the work of the sword. "I didn't even hold it in my hands. How did it work?" said he.
"It doesn't have to be held. The thing you want from bottom of your heart appears at once. Even without your knowing."
Aeren was stunned. "Why didn't it work for this whole time? It was inside me for two centuries."
"What if I say it did?" said the girl and pointed at his home at the other side of the river. Aeren looked at his home and was more shocked. His home was gone. No wood, no door, no window. There was just no trace of his home.
Aeren fell on his knees. "How? My home. Where is it?" said he. After seconds of realization, he said again: "My home was the work of that sword too?"
"Exactly" said the girl.
"But... it can't be. It was never demolished or damaged. It was there even before I was born."
"Your house was burned down by people. That sword made replica of it."
It was too much to understand for Aeren. His home? His own dear home? It was unbelievable.
"You don't need that home anymore because you are not there anymore." continued girl. "You are here. At another side of the river."
Aeren stand up after calming down and overcoming the shock. He was impressed of himself for accepting this fact so much easily. It was like a truth he knew always but he remembered just now. "Shall we continue then?"
The girl nodded and they start to walk towards the still rising sun. The weather was good that day. There were almost no trees. Only a vast land of green carpet. Some unusual flowers (at least for Aeren) were seeable at the way, such as tulip, rose, and peony.
"How can tulip and peony grow next to each other? They need different environment to grow." Aeren asked and touched the flowers.
"Yeah. How do you know about it?" asked the girl.
"Books again. I tried to grow some of them, but I failed."
"It is true growing of them together is an unusual sight, but they do for a reason. Someone grows them here. Someone I've seen before."
"Is that so? Who is that person?"
"I don't know. I just assumed that it would be the person who lives in that home." The girl pointed at the home on the top of a little hill.
Aeren looked at the home. It was diagonally built at the hill so that the home was looking like slipping down from that hill. It was a bit unclear to see because of the distance. "Maybe we should meet with that person? Something inside me is telling to do so." said Aeren.
