Ausbi'er had left with Whis, and ever since then, Planet Sadala had felt... emptier.
The girl who once clung to Kaso's shadow like a loyal pup was now gone. Curious, Bardock and others had approached him with questions, but Kaso simply shook his head and said,
"She went to train somewhere else."
He gave no further explanation. Matters involving the Gods of Destruction were best left unspoken.
After that, Kaso's life became utterly disciplined: training in the gravity chamber, refining his ki techniques, then back to training again.
Even when Philiya came to visit, he ignored her completely.
Time passed quietly.
Eight years.
Somewhere in the depths of the universe, a streak of light cut across a sea of stars.
"Where did it go...?"
A tall young man stood silently in space, sharp-eyed and cautious.
Slender, refined features.
A casually stylish Earth outfit.
And those dark eyes — calm, yet intense.
It was Kaso, now grown into a young man.
He had just left Metamor, the planet known for its ancient martial traditions — and for being the origin of the legendary Fusion Technique.
It was thanks to the Metamorans' martial knowledge that Kaso had grown so quickly over the past few years.
But now, something strange had happened.
Right after leaving, he sensed a terrifying aura near the planet — like a demon king from the depths of hell.
Dark. Violent. Evil.
Kaso had given chase, but once he reached the deeper parts of space...
Nothing.
The aura vanished.
Kaso frowned, disappointed but not discouraged.
"Can't find it… oh well."
With a breath, he placed two fingers on his forehead —
and shoom! — teleported away with Instant Transmission.
After he left, a pool of black mist swirled in the empty void.
Red eyes blinked open in the darkness, flickering with demonic energy.
Crackling bolts of black lightning snapped silently around them.
Earth.
Years had passed.
Bulma was no longer the bratty little girl of yesterday.
She had become a stunning young woman — radiant, poised, and powerful.
One day, digging through an old drawer, she found something that Kaso had once returned to her — a Dragon Ball.
Curious, she researched it in depth and finally remembered its legend:
"Gather all seven, and any wish can be granted."
She still remembered her childhood with Kaso.
That reckless promise she once made — to learn how to fly.
To become stronger.
To stand beside him.
Using her genius intellect, she rebuilt a Dragon Radar from scratch and set off on an adventure across the world.
Thus, the Dragon Ball story… officially began.
Along the way, Bulma met Goku, Yamcha, Oolong, and others.
But she was no damsel in distress.
Her years of brutal training — fueled by that childish dream — had paid off.
With just one Senzu Bean left in her pocket, she had pushed herself to the brink.
Even Goku was stunned by her strength, admitting he couldn't beat her.
In the final act, inside Pilaf's castle, all of Pilaf's tricks failed against Bulma's insight.
Goku never turned into the giant ape.
And when the Dragon finally appeared, Bulma made her wish:
"I want Kaso to appear before me."
But Kaso… was still training on Metamor.
He sensed her call.
But he couldn't come.
The Dragon, surprised, relayed the refusal.
Bulma's face dimmed, heart heavy with disappointment.
The wish was wasted —
as Oolong suddenly shouted out:
"Give me a pair of panties!"
…
Now it was Age 750.
The 21st World Martial Arts Tournament had arrived.
Bulma still remembered what Kaso had said:
"To fly, you have to keep training — every single day."
And so she did.
Now, her power level had reached 150.
But she still couldn't fly — no one had taught her how.
She didn't join the tournament.
Fighting had never really interested her.
But she showed up to watch Goku and Krillin compete.
"Where the heck did that little bastard go…"
Bulma rested her chin on her palm, eyes unfocused as she watched the match unfold.
She had long since reached the limit of what her body could offer.
She knew she wouldn't get stronger without help.
"He said, when that warm energy inside me gets bigger, I'll be able to fly…"
But he hadn't shown up again since that one visit to Earth.
Not even to check in.
"Damn you, Kaso."
Just then.
Three people entered the arena.
Two men. One woman.
Tap tap tap.
A hand suddenly touched Bulma's shoulder.
"Hey, Bulma."
Bulma jumped, spinning around in alarm.
She hadn't even noticed someone approach her?
That was… impossible.
After all her training, how could she not sense someone this close?
She looked up.
"…A handsome guy?"
The young man before her was tall and strikingly good-looking.
So familiar… where had she seen him before?
He didn't say anything. Just stood there, calmly watching her.
His gaze wasn't rude. Just… warm.
And when she saw those deep, familiar eyes —
everything clicked.
Her mouth dropped open.
"You… you're Kaso?!"
Behind her, Yamcha and Oolong blinked.
They didn't know who Kaso was.
But when they saw the man standing next to him…
"Wait… doesn't he look just like Goku?!"
Kaso gave a gentle smile.
"Yeah. It's me."
Eight years had passed since he last saw her.
The little girl with the wild blue hair was now a beautiful woman.
He swept his senses across her body — her ki was thick, steady, and warm.
She had trained hard.
She was now strong enough to start flying.
Kaso could feel it.
"You finally showed up…"
Bulma grabbed his collar and pulled him forward.
She had waited so long.
All those times she wanted to give up — she remembered his voice.
His dumb face.
And she kept going.
Even now, there were a million things she wanted to say.
But when she looked into his eyes… she said none of them.
Kaso reached out and gently patted her on the head.
"Let's watch the match."
And they sat together.
In silence.
Under the bright blue sky.
