Chapter 1 - Chapter 0 — Eternal War

Hundreds of thousands of years ago...A great war between Angels and Demons began to shatter the balance of the world. They mercilessly slaughtered one another, leaving destruction in their wake. The Earth, which became the battlefield, slowly turned into a terrifying place.

There was no safe place left. Buildings had collapsed, and fires slowly began to engulf the forests. It didn't stop there—darkness also started to cover the sky, while the water and air had become polluted.

Only destruction and suffering remained, and in the midst of that despair, humans began to slaughter one another. This war would never end—even though the Angels and Demons had ceased fighting, their roles were replaced by humans. Humans began to become more terrifying than either Angels or Demons, and they eventually forgot the meaning of peace.

The war that would continue endlessly became known as the Eternal War.

The great war between Angels and Demons, known as the Eternal War, was not a conflict that occurred in the blink of an eye. It all began long before the world was engulfed in ruin.

It was a war destined for the world—ordained by the Creator Himself. Angels and Demons had been at odds since the moment they were created, a conflict born from the hatred between both sides.

The war reached its peak when two commanders of the realms—Michael of the upper world (Heaven) and Lucifer of the lower world (Hell)—held opposing ideologies. Their mutual hatred ignited the outbreak of the conflict.

Lucifer was originally an Angel who held the position of commander in Heaven, before that position was overthrown by the Angels led by Michael. He was then cast out of Heaven, falling at incredible speed before crashing onto the surface of Earth, eventually ending up stranded in Hell.

The dying Lucifer was found by the Demon King, who then infused him with darkness. His body began to ache, and he screamed in agony. Then, his holy armor slowly cracked and fell apart, his wings gradually turned black, and he was eventually engulfed by darkness.

Lightning began to strike amid the pouring rain. The reunion between Michael and Lucifer unfolded in an atmosphere of intense tension. The aura they radiated blanketed the world in fear—Michael with his overwhelming holy power, and Lucifer with his newfound dark power. The two of them began their battle, locking eyes filled with hatred.

A deep hum echoed from the Angels' side; the sound of a trumpet had been heard—signaling that the war had begun. Sring!!! Sring!!! Sring!!!—slash after slash was unleashed, blood began to stain their swords. Boom! Boom! Boom!—explosions erupted one after another, marking the terrifying nature of this war.

High-ranking Angels and Demons began to join the battle, reveling in the slaughter. Without mercy, they wiped out the weaker Angels and Demons. Eventually, the seven most powerful beings from both sides faced one another—their gazes reflected a shared awareness: the true battle had only just begun.

Elsewhere, Michael and Lucifer continued to clash, unleashing their full power. Michael wielded the Archangel Blade, a radiant holy sword blessed by the divine. A weapon capable of slicing through anything, forged specifically to kill Demons. Meanwhile, Lucifer wielded the Sword of Resurrection, a deathly blade shrouded in darkness. A weapon capable of slaying beings of light—even the highest of entities.

Their battle not only shook the heavens and the earth, but also dragged humanity into it. Mankind was split into two factions—some chose to side with the Angels, while others pledged themselves to the Demons. All were tempted by the promise of overwhelming power.

However, behind those two great forces, there was one group that refused to bow to either side. They were rebellious humans—those who hunted and killed both Angels and Demons. To them, there was no difference between light and darkness; both were threats that had to be eliminated.

Eventually, the great war came to an end. The warring Angels and Demons vanished without a trace, and no one knew who truly emerged as the victor. The group of humans who had rejected both sides briefly celebrated their small victory. But that joy did not last long.

After the great war, humans began to fight among themselves. Greed and ambition slowly took hold of them. They formed their own factions, each claiming to be the strongest. Some even used the corpses of fallen Angels and Demons as materials to forge terrifying armor and weapons.

Hundreds of thousands of years passed. The war between humans never truly ceased. With magic power continuing to evolve through the ages, they kept waging war—fighting over thrones and power.

From that prolonged conflict, various eras and generations of mages were born. There were the Primordial Mages—immortal beings who had lived for hundreds of thousands of years. There were the Ancient Mages—inheritors of magic from the bygone ages. And there were the Legendary Mages—whose tales colored human folklore. Even now, in the Era of Modern Mages, magic remains a tool of power, of destruction… and perhaps, humanity's last hope.

Back to the present era… the Modern Era.This era is known as the most advanced period in human history. Science, technology, and magic have developed rapidly—surpassing boundaries once thought unimaginable. Many mages excel in research and theory, but only a handful truly stand out in the art of magical combat.

In this era, mages born with extraordinary talent are known as "Golden Sorcerers." They are rare mages—special, for they possess unique abilities that surpass those of ordinary sorcerers. However, over time, Golden Sorcerers have become increasingly scarce. In fact, in the past fifteen years, not a single mage has earned that title.

The Modern Era is a time full of questions. Unlike the past, this era has truly become the most mysterious age in history. There are no longer massive conflicts like those in the Ancient or Legendary Eras that once threatened the world's destruction.

Even so, competition still exists. Mages now compete through skill, intellect, and the uniqueness of their magic—not through brutal war, but through strategy, achievement, and recognition. Yet behind that calm… there are always secrets hidden, waiting to be uncovered.

However, behind the calm of the Modern Era, various Legendary Artifacts from the past remain hidden and scattered across the world. These artifacts are relics from powerful Angels and Demons—symbols of strength that once shook the world. Some of them include:

"Trumpet of Heaven", the heavenly horn of the Angel Gabriel."Holy Chalice", the Sacred Cup of the Angel Raphael."Spear of Shadows", the Shadow Spear once wielded by the Angel Azrael."Chaos Axe", the Axe of Chaos belonging to the Demon Satan."Staff of Corruption", the Staff of Destruction once used by the Demon Astaroth."Lunar Scythe", the Moon Scythe wielded by the Demon Lilith.

And many more—whose powers remain beyond imagination.

Those artifacts are now heavily guarded by the great kingdoms. Some are even wielded by the most powerful mages in each realm, kept as backup weapons—prepared in case an unwanted war ever breaks out.

However, not all artifacts have been found. To this day, the whereabouts of Michael's and Lucifer's artifacts remain the greatest mystery. Legend says that both artifacts possess power capable of reshaping the world itself—should they fall into the wrong hands.

In an abandoned library…A mysterious man stood from his chair. His face was hidden beneath the hood of a dark cloak. In his hand, an old, dusty book titled "History of Eternal War" slowly closed, its pages whispering like echoes of a buried past. Then, without a sound, he walked away—returning the book to its shelf.

The children who were there could only remain silent after hearing the story. Their eyes were fixed, their bodies trembling—some even traumatized by what they had just heard. It was as if they had been pulled into the tale itself.

The man walked toward the door, step by step. Just before leaving, he paused for a moment and spoke with a piercing tone, followed by a laugh:

"The story in that book isn't finished yet... it will continue to write itself."

"The Eternal War... will return."

After the man stepped out, the door slowly closed—leaving behind a silence and a lingering question in the air.
