Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The First Memory

The system's message burned itself into Yun's mind like a whisper from the void.

Yun stumbled backward, his breath ragged. A sudden flood of sensation hit him—muscle memory not his own, the way a blade moves through air, the rhythm of a warrior's breath before a killing strike.

"Wh-What was that?" he gasped.

He wasn't hallucinating. Somehow, after touching the blood-stained sword of the dead hunter Ren, he had seen her final moments—felt her fear, her rage, and her final scream as something tore her apart inside that dungeon.

It wasn't just a memory. It was her.

He could still hear her voice.

"They lied to us… The dungeon wasn't unstable… it was alive."

Yun dropped to his knees, the weight of her terror still pressing on his chest. He had unlocked something no one else could—a glimpse into a fallen hunter's last breath… and their power.

His fingers trembled as he clenched the blade. The lightness, the balance—it felt natural now, like it belonged to him. He slashed once through the air, and a gust followed. The Bladewind.

Impossible.

He had trained with weapons before, like any gatekeeper, but nothing to this level. This was a genuine S-rank style. How could someone like him—someone with no system—suddenly use this?

The screen flickered again.

[Warning: Possessing a Forbidden System is a capital crime. This system is undetectable, but use caution.]

So this was why the system was sealed.

Yun looked toward the dark entrance of the dungeon. The guards had already started cordoning the area, claiming the S-rank team's death was due to a collapse.

But he knew better.

He had seen it.

He had felt her scream.

Yun stood, gripping the sword. For the first time in his life, he wasn't just a bystander.

He was the only witness.

And the dungeon was watching.
