Cherreads

Chapter 51 - 51

Yaelle's heartbeat sped up in her chest, and her breathing grew rapid and deep. She could feel the heat radiating from Xavier, a mix of youthful energy and masculine hormones that irresistibly drew her in. But she couldn't accept the way Xavier kissed her — his messy and forceful kisses wore her lips out.

She gently pushed Xavier away, trying to regain a bit of rationality after being overwhelmed by intense emotions. But when her eyes met his hazy and innocent gaze, her heart softened again. Just looking at Xavier's face, with its pure and adorable expression, made her want to protect and cherish him.

Yaelle couldn't help but smile, a playful and triumphant look in her eyes. She decided to take the lead and guide this emotional dance in her own way. She leaned in toward Xavier and pressed her lips to his again, this time gently and softly, prying open his lips and inviting him into the kiss.

Xavier was stunned at first, surprised by Yaelle's sudden initiative. But quickly, his heart filled with joy and excitement. He felt his heartbeat speed up too, as if the entire world had frozen in this moment, leaving only the sound of their breathing and heartbeats.

When Yaelle's soft little tongue lightly tapped his teeth, Xavier finally came back to his senses. He realized this was her way of responding to him, accepting his feelings. Without hesitation, he welcomed her warmly, giving back all of his passion into the kiss.

In that moment, their world contained only each other, their heartbeats and breaths intertwining into a beautiful harmony. A lover's kiss wasn't just an exchange of feelings but also a blending of souls. In this instant, they forgot everything around them and focused only on each other's presence, cherishing the warmth and closeness.

Even the lighting seemed softer, and the surroundings grew quiet, as if only their breathing remained. Time passed slowly. No one knew how long it had been before Yaelle felt short of breath.

She gently pushed Xavier, and only then did he slowly pull away, ending the long kiss. Xavier had a satisfied, happy smile at the corner of his lips as he gazed at her with deep affection. After the kiss, Yaelle felt that their relationship had grown even closer.

At that moment, being stared at by him made her scalp tingle and her face burn. She quickly turned her head and leaned against his shoulder. Xavier naturally wrapped his arm around Yaelle's shoulder.

Seeing her shy expression, which was rare, filled him with delight. As she leaned against him, Yaelle could clearly hear the low vibrations coming from his chest. She lightly hit him in response, but he only laughed louder, his body shaking slightly from it.

She puffed her cheeks and pushed Xavier away a little, then pretended to frown and said, "It's getting late, you should go. I need to rest." Xavier looked at the sky and saw it was already completely dark. Tomorrow she had to be the most beautiful bride, so of course she needed to look perfect.

Bad sleep wouldn't do. Even though she wasn't marrying him, he still hoped everything would go smoothly for her tomorrow. He held back the bitterness in his heart and said, "Yeah, I should go. Get some good rest. Don't forget what you promised me."

"I definitely won't forget, don't worry. Be careful on your way back." Yaelle felt bad seeing him like that and quickly called out, "Wait."

She reached into her sleeve and pulled out a large White Rabbit milk candy (actually taken from the space), peeled it quietly under her sleeve, and stuffed it into his mouth before he could notice.

"Don't be upset. Eat a candy to sweeten your mouth." Yaelle spoke gently.

Xavier held the candy in his mouth, feeling its sweetness. A warm feeling rose in his heart. He did not usually like sweets much, but this candy tasted special because she fed it to him.

If Yaelle knew what he was thinking, she would smile and say, "Isn't that obvious? How can you not like White Rabbit candy? It's a classic brand."

Being comforted so gently, Xavier's sadness slowly faded. He leaned down and left a soft kiss on her forehead, then carefully climbed out the window with a heart full of affection.

After Xavier left, Yaelle lay on the bed but could not fall asleep. Her thoughts wandered endlessly, thinking about all the moments here, and the nervousness and unease about marrying in another world.

She decided to open the space and gave herself a full hair and skin care treatment. Though she didn't have many skincare products, she had some essentials ready. After all, which woman does not love to be beautiful?

This time she did not spare any money. She applied conditioner, hair masks, and essential oils in order. Her hair felt incredibly smooth after.

Finally, she did a full skin hydration routine. It took one to two hours, but after that, she was finally able to sleep. She guessed she wouldn't sleep well tonight but didn't expect to fall asleep so early.

When Attendant Sam came in to call her, it was already dark outside, probably no later than five. Her eyes were barely open, and before she realized it, she was back in the bed inside the space.

She turned over and went back to sleep. Luckily, the bed had curtains. If not, Attendant Sam and the others might have been scared seeing her suddenly appear like that.

Using the space's loophole, Yaelle slept until she woke up naturally. She washed her hair and body again, repeating the steps from last night. After all, she was getting married today and had to be in the best state.

When she came out, Attendant Sam was still outside, not coming in. Yaelle had to admit, this space was really a treasure. With help from Attendant Sean and the others, she tidied herself again and called the makeup artist to come in.

In that ancient era, beauty methods were very different from modern ones. Yaelle experienced a traditional face threading beauty treatment today. She thought it would be a relaxing and pleasant experience.

But when she lay on the bed and felt the slight pain, she realized how naive her thoughts were. Face threading was an old beauty method that used threads rolled across the face to remove extra fine hairs, helping makeup stick better later.

During the threading, every inch of her skin felt tight, and every pull of the thread caused a sharp sting. She regretted it and thought if she had known it would be so painful, she would have used modern hair removal cream secretly in the space before coming out.

Modern hair removal products were safe now, some even gentle enough for the face.
