The storm had passed.
Forks, for all its serenity, now bore silent scars—fractures in space healed but still visible to the divine eye. Trees were snapped like twigs, power lines down, and a quiet frost hung in the air despite the sun peeking through the clouds. A strange afterglow lingered—part celestial residue, part the remnants of the collapsed rift.
But within this calm walked three beings who had defied death, time, and the divine: Raiko, glowing faintly in her lightning-soaked elegance; Alice, her clairvoyant senses on high alert; and Rosalie, pride and strength etched in every graceful stride.
But they weren't alone. The Volturi were coming. And they knew it.

Back at Cullen Manor
The shattered windows had been repaired. Esme, Carlisle, and the others worked in silence, glancing often at the far-off forest where the storm had ended. Edward sat on the stairs outside, his face buried in his hands, trying to sort through the chaos that Raiko's power had stirred within the fabric of fate.
"She's different now," he murmured. "Not just powerful. She's... sovereign."
Carlisle stood beside him. "You saw it too?"
"I heard her mind—no, felt her soul. It doesn't belong to this world anymore."
Emmett chuckled, nursing a bruised arm. "And yet, she's still dating my sister. Who knew being the Lightning Goddess of Reality wouldn't be her most intimidating trait?"
But beneath the humor was tension.
Because the Volturi had sensed the disturbance.
They had sent a message.
And they were arriving within the week.

Inside Raiko's Chamber
Raiko sat cross-legged on a tatami mat, eyes closed, her blade floating before her in silence. Lightning crackled across her skin intermittently, as if her mortal body was still adjusting to the divine forces now fused within.
Alice and Rosalie sat near her, both silent, watching.
Without opening her eyes, Raiko finally spoke, "I know what's coming. I saw them… in the rift."
"The Volturi?" Rosalie asked.
Raiko opened her eyes—sharp and violet. "Yes. But not as you knew them. They've touched something old. Something that let them see me before I even arrived in this world. They fear me… but they also desire me."
Alice frowned. "You mean—like they want to recruit you?"
Raiko nodded. "Not just recruit. Control. Chain. Shape me into a weapon to protect their false empire."
Rosalie stood. "Then we destroy them before they even try."
Raiko's voice was calm but commanding. "We won't start a war… unless they force us to."
Her voice was soft but filled with weight.
"I've seen too many worlds burn from pride."

The Council of Shadows
That night, Raiko summoned the Cullen family and the wolf pack. Jacob arrived first, tense but curious, followed by Sam, Embry, and Leah.
When Raiko stepped forward, everyone fell silent. She looked the same—elegant, graceful, clad in her lavender and gold kimono, hair tied in high style, but now… her presence radiated beyond divine. She no longer felt like someone of this world. She felt like someone sent to judge it.
Carlisle spoke first. "Raiko, what do you foresee?"
She turned to face them all. "A confrontation that may rewrite the laws of the supernatural. Aro's not just coming to assess power. He's coming to see if I'm a threat to his dominion."
Jacob scoffed. "So what? We tell them to leave or we fight."
"No," Raiko said, raising a hand. "We prepare. Because what Aro brings with him… is no longer just the Volturi."
Her voice echoed slightly with divine resonance.
"I saw the shadows with them. Old beings, older than vampires. They've made pacts with something buried under the ice of the old world—an ancient being called Veltherion."
Leah blinked. "Sounds like an allergy."
"No," Alice whispered. "Sounds like war."

Rosalie's Resolve
Later that night, Rosalie found Raiko alone beneath the old cedar tree, lightning faintly curling around her shoulders like a cloak.
"You're carrying too much," Rosalie said softly.
Raiko turned, her gaze distant but tender. "Power demands burden. If I don't carry it… someone else will."
Rosalie crossed the grass and sat beside her, leaning into her. "You're not alone, Raiko. Not anymore."
Raiko looked down at her hand, then at Rosalie. "In my past life… I never loved. I was a weapon. A mind without a heart. But with you, and with Alice… I feel everything. That's both my strength… and my fear."
Rosalie smiled. "We'll walk through the fire together. Lightning and flame. Ice and ash. Let them come."
Raiko leaned her head against Rosalie's shoulder. For a moment, the divine seemed… at peace.

Meanwhile: In the Catacombs of Volterra
Aro stood before a mirror made of obsidian, his eyes glowing unnaturally. Beside him stood Marcus and Caius, and between them… a figure covered in black frost.
A voice spoke from the ice.
"She is awakening. The False God reborn. The child of thunder and time."
Aro grinned. "Then we must welcome her with honor… and chains."
