A whistle was heard, then THUD, followed by a loud, shaking BOOM!
In the distance, explosions echoed—so loud it felt like they were right next to you.
BOOOOOOM!!!
The wind carried the scent of gunpowder, blood, and rusty metal.
The year was 2040.
Planet Earth.
A massive war was raging — World War lll. Unlike the First and Second, this one engulfed every single country on the planet.
It will be remembered as the shortest but bloodiest World War in history. The great powers—America, Germany, China, Italy, and Russia—introduced robots into their militaries, throwing the world, lagging behind in this field, into complete chaos.
The war was started by China. It rebelled against the existing power order, aiming to climb to the top of the global ladder. It began a war with South Korea and conquered all of its territory.
But America couldn't just watch from the sidelines. It intervened, followed by the rest of the world. Everyone picked their sides, and the war exploded.
But... something strange happened in Japan.
Japan, one of the biggest robot manufacturers, invested everything into producing military machinery. And just before the war began—the production stopped. No one knew why.
Without powerful robots, Japan was forced to recruit humans to fight against the Chinese robotic armies.
At first, it sided with China, fearing it would be crushed otherwise. But after strong American persuasion, it switched sides.
Of course, China attacked immediately and now holds Japan under occupation.
The situation in Japan was terrible. People were dying everywhere. The war spread far beyond the battlefield. Anyone not bearing the Chinese emblem was a target for their robots.
In the middle of a ruined city, among stunted trees and empty streets that once buzzed with life, stood an old, small Japanese shed. Hidden inside were brother and sister—Kai and Mei.
Kai was nestled in Mei's embrace. Her arms wrapped around his ears, keeping any scream, any cry, far away from him.
They trembled under the fragile straw roof of that rickety shed, while outside, cold-blooded robots mercilessly slaughtered humans.
Beside them on the ground lay an old Colt Python from '55—a revolver with only five bullets, but the only ally in this hell.
"It's gonna be okay… it's gonna be okay…" Mei's voice was weak, filled with tears and unyielding hope.
Suddenly, from the door came a knock:
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
It was loud, panicked knocking.
Mei flinched, raised the revolver, and coldly aimed it right at the door.
"Please..." came a tearful voice from the other side, then the head of a middle-aged woman appeared in the small window on the door. Her face was full of pain. Tears streamed from her bloodshot eyes, running down her cheeks.
The door was locked. She couldn't get in. All she could do was knock and beg for salvation.
Mei stood still, quietly listening to her sobs, keeping the revolver pointed at her face.
"I have a baby… Please… open up…" the girl screamed through the door, her voice breaking with desperation.
"T-then, die with her," Mei snapped coldly.
The girl sobbed even harder, shaking the door with all her might like she'd tear it down.
"Go away! The robots will hear you!" Mei shouted, her voice sharp and merciless.
China still hadn't perfected their robots. They could hear, see, move, shoot… but they still couldn't think for themselves. Their only job was to check if a person had the Chinese emblem—if not, kill them.
"Please…" the girl pleaded, her voice cracking.
"Go away!" Mei raised her tone.
"Plea—"
Pshhh-CLICK!
You could hear Mei cock the revolver, ready to fire.
"Go… away" Mei said as a final warning.
The girl panicked, turned, and started running, her steps heavy, barely able to lift her feet, but she kept going.
Suddenly, a loud noise broke the silence:
ptptptptptptptpt
The sound of a machine gun tore through the air, followed by a scream.
"AHHH!" The voice came from the same girl.
Kai froze, panicking, and pressed himself even tighter against Mei, burying his body into hers.
Mei covered her mouth with her hand, trying to muffle any sound she might make.
The robot was close. You could just feel its presence hanging in the air.
THUD, THUD, THUD
Heavy, metallic footsteps echoed through the shed.
Kai and Mei's breathing slowed to quiet whispers, their bodies trembling with waves of fear.
"Will it come… Will it kill us…?" Mei whispered, her voice trembling. "Is this the end for us?"
Silence. The air grew heavier. The tension and fear were palpable.
Suddenly, a robotic head peeked through the window, spotting the siblings. It was a terrifying sight—looking human but made entirely of metal, designed only to kill.
It raised its machine gun and…
BANG!
THUD!
A shot rang out, and the robot fell backward.
At the window appeared a man. Tall, brown-haired, brown-eyed. His suit was stained with blood.
"Are you okay?" he asked, then rammed the shed's door with his rifle.
Mei didn't move an inch. Without hesitation, she aimed her revolver right at him. Her hands trembled slightly, but she held firm. "Go away!" she shouted, her voice fierce but edged with fear.
The man slowly lowered his rifle to the ground, then raised his hands high. "I'm here to help you…"
"How…?" Kai asked from Mei's embrace. Tears filled his eyes, but he tried to look strong.
"There's a special bunker for survivors. I can take you there," the man said, trying to calm them and earn their trust.
Mei slowly lowered the revolver, then stood up. Her hands were steady, but her body shook slightly from adrenaline and uncertainty. "Let's go," she said softly, almost determined, gently helping her brother to his feet.
The man smiled faintly, his gaze warm but firm as he picked up his rifle from the floor.
At the time this was happening, Kai was ten, and Mei was thirteen years old. There was no sign of their parents—they had been separated at the start of the war.
They walked for at least fifteen minutes; it was pretty close.
When they arrived, they entered something that looked like a military base—a cold, gray complex of concrete and metal.
There were stairs leading down to a bunker.
The man in uniform signaled for Kai and Mei to go down the stairs first. They walked carefully, their steps lightly echoing on the metal bars. Only after they descended did he start to go down.
At the bottom, another man was waiting for them, much older. He held the rank of general, which meant this was a serious Japanese military unit.
"Sir, I found two more," the man in the suit said, standing upright and awaiting orders.
The general watched them carefully; his eyes stopped at the revolver Mei held tightly in her hand.
"May I have that revolver?" he asked in a calm but firm voice.
Mei looked at the revolver, then back at the general. She hugged the revolver, unwilling to give it up.
"It's okay… you won't need it here…" said the general.
Only then, as if realizing there was no reason to refuse, she slowly released the revolver from her hands.
The general took the weapon and carefully placed it on the table right next to him.
"Aiko!" the general shouted.
Very quickly, a girl appeared and ran up to them. She stood upright and saluted with a serious expression on her face.
At first glance, she was pure discipline incarnate — her perfectly pressed military uniform clinging to every curve. Buttons fastened all the way to her collar, stretched taut over those lush, rounded breasts that teased their soft yet firm shape even through the thick fabric. Every breath she took pulled the cloth tighter, like it was about to snap at any moment.
Her black hair cascaded in thick, silky waves down her shoulders and back, just barely brushing the collar. Her ice-blue eyes sliced through you with a gaze that judged, measured—and threatened punishment if you even dared slip up.
Tall black boots hugged her long, slender legs, perfectly outlining the toned shape of her calves with every step. As she moved, her skirt shifted just enough to flash a teasing glimpse of black lace stockings hidden underneath.
Beneath the tightly buttoned collar, her neck was smooth, almost innocently glowing, with a faint trace of perfume drifting in the air. A thin, nearly invisible scar traced the right side of her neck, adding a dangerous edge to her irresistible allure.
Her figure wasn't just beautiful—it was a weapon. Her stomach was tight and toned, faintly revealing sculpted abs beneath the thin blouse. Every muscle on her body was in perfect harmony—strong, yet elegant.
In one sentence, she was the perfect Mommy material.
"Take them to the barracks…" ordered the general.
"Yes, sir!" Aiko replied, leading Kai and Mei down the hallway.
"These are the barracks, here…" she paused, thinking. "This is where you sleep," she finished in a slightly faster tone, then walked away.
"Well…" Kai said. "This is our fault..."
Mei just nodded, and together they stepped into the room.
