Chapter 373 - Cornered by the Past

## Hazel's POV

The car ride to my apartment was painfully silent. Sebastian hadn't said a single word since that accidental touch in the hallway. My cheeks still burned at the memory.

"I can take him," I whispered once we reached my door, nodding at my sleeping son in Sebastian's arms.

Sebastian's jaw tightened. "I've got him."

"Really, I can—"

"Hazel." His voice left no room for argument. "Open the door."

I swallowed hard and fumbled with my keys. The lock clicked, and I pushed the door open, stepping aside to let Sebastian enter.

My apartment suddenly felt much smaller with Sebastian's commanding presence filling the space. The contrast between his tailored suit and my modest living room was jarring.

A familiar bark broke the silence as Biscuit, my golden retriever, rushed toward us. To my surprise, he bypassed me entirely and jumped excitedly around Sebastian's legs, tail wagging frantically.
