## Hazel's POV
Kangkang's cries gradually subsided as I rocked him, his little body warm against mine. The unfamiliar apartment had disoriented him when he woke up. I could feel Sebastian standing behind me, the tension radiating off him in waves.
"Is he sick?" Sebastian asked, his voice tight with concern.
I shook my head, turning to face him. "No. This is normal. Toddlers often cry when they wake up in new places."
The worry etched across Sebastian's face softened something inside me. My initial anger at finding him here began to fade. Whatever else he might be, his concern for our son seemed genuine.
"He'll be fine in a minute," I said, my voice gentler than before.
Kangkang's sobs turned to sniffles. He lifted his head from my shoulder, his eyes puffy from crying. When he spotted Sebastian, he stilled, staring with open curiosity.
"Hey, buddy," Sebastian said softly, the endearment sounding foreign but heartfelt on his lips.
