Why Is It You Again?
After thinking for a moment, Fang Ling stepped back a few meters, moving away from the Ice and Fire Twin Springs.
He then dug a small hole with his hands and carefully planted the Blue Silver Emperor.
After waiting for a short while, Dugu Bo came over carrying a bowl of icy medicinal soup.
The flesh and blood inside had already dissolved into a not-so-thick paste.
Dugu Bo handed the bowl to Fang Ling:
"This is a medicinal broth that benefits the growth of neutral herbs. You took her to the Ice and Fire Spring, used your own blood and flesh to nourish her, having done this much, you owe her nothing now."
"I understand, teacher."
Fang Ling took the bowl with a smile and a nod, slowly pouring the soup at the roots.
This nutrient solution, made from the blood and flesh of someone who had consumed many immortal herbs, was the best supplement for Ah Yin to quickly adapt to the Eyes of Ice and Fire.
As the medicinal soup dripped down, the Blue Silver Emperor's slightly wilted leaves immediately gave off a faint, soft blue glow.
The golden lines on the leaves seemed to come alive, pulsing gently as golden light rippled like waves.
The leaves grew rapidly, stopping only after reaching about two feet in height, their trembling gradually ceasing.
Gazing at the Blue Silver Grass, Fang Ling gently stroked its leaves and, smiling, said to the unconscious Ah Yin,
"I took your soul bone, but I've also planted you in the place most suitable for plants to grow. From today on, we owe each other nothing."
The leaves didn't respond, but Fang Ling didn't mind. Having repaid the debt, he stood up.
"Let's go hunt a spirit in the Star Dou Great Forest!" Dugu Bo said excitedly, restraining his inner emotions.
"No, because of my meridians, I can't absorb the corresponding spirit ring for now." Fang Ling shook his head.
Although his current physical strength was enough to handle a twenty-thousand-year spirit ring, his newly regenerated left calf and foot could not yet bear that power.
Even with the Blue Silver Emperor right leg bone, it was still best to avoid unnecessary injury.
"Let's go to Soto City first." A brilliant light shone in Fang Ling's eyes. "Teacher, the Zhu family's second young lady, Zhu Zhuqing, should have just about arrived in Soto City by now."
"It's time to go snatch her!"
He had long been anticipating the Martial Soul Fusion Technique.
At the same time, in Soto City,
Because Fang Ling moved extremely fast and traveled day and night in a straight line with boundless energy, by the time he had already returned to Heaven Dou City, Tang San and Xiao Wu were still on their way.
It wasn't until a full day after Fang Ling's leg healed and he set out that Tang San and Xiao Wu finally reached Soto City at noon under the blazing sun.
Three years had passed since Fang Ling graduated; now Tang San and Xiao Wu had finally graduated from Nuoding Primary Spirit Master Academy.
With their talent, Nuoding Academy had intended to recommend them directly to an intermediate academy.
Several famous academies had even sent them invitations, giving them plenty of choices.
But the Grandmaster told Tang San to refuse them all and instead apply to a small academy south of Soto City called Shrek Academy.
After six years of teaching, Tang San already respected the Grandmaster like a father.
He also understood that, just as when the Grandmaster had him choose the poison cultivation path and absorb the Mandala Snake's spirit ring, this was for his own good.
Even though Shrek Academy had no formal ranking and seemed like a scam in every way, he still agreed without hesitation.
Xiao Wu, as his "younger sister," naturally came along.
They had long forgotten about that crippled boy Fang Ling.
With just innate level one spirit power, he had been nothing more than a passing stranger in their lives.
In the information-isolated Nuoding Academy, they naturally heard nothing about him.
They also lacked the competitive push that Yu Tianheng's group had once brought.
As a result, just like in the original path, both were still at level 29.
Meanwhile, Fang Ling and Dugu Bo were rushing swiftly toward Soto City.
They traveled at full speed and were about to arrive.
Tang San and Xiao Wu, after their first encounter with Dai Mubai and receiving a crystal stone, took another two days to reach a small village outside the city.
At the village entrance was a table, behind which sat an elderly man in his sixties.
What left Tang San and Xiao Wu dumbfounded was the dilapidated wooden sign hanging from the arch at the village gate, engraved with just five simple characters: Shrek Academy.
"No way?" Xiao Wu looked at the sign in shock, then turned to Tang San. Both wore expressions of disbelief.
They queued up to register.
Fang Ling, meanwhile, had arrived in Soto City.
"They're here in the city?" Dugu Bo prepared to lead his disciple inside.
"No, they're outside the city." Fang Ling asked a few locals for directions and quickly found the location. "It's called Shrek Academy."
"Shrek Academy? I've never heard of it."
Dugu Bo searched his memory but found nothing.
Fang Ling chuckled.
"Of course you haven't heard of it. It's a completely unaccredited academy, without even basic training facilities, and it's nearly broke."
"Teacher Qin Ming graduated from there, so I know a little about it."
"The academy has a high death rate. They recruited 62 people, each a genius under 13 who had already reached level 20,yet only 14 graduated."
Fang Ling recalled what Qin Ming had once said about it.
"What? The rest all died?" Dugu Bo wasn't surprised by the graduation rate, there were academies with even lower rates.
What surprised him was that geniuses under 13 who could reach level 20 ended up in such a shabby academy, and only 14 graduated.
And people still went there?
"Not all died. It seems you have to reach level 40 before the age of 20 to graduate. Those who don't make it simply aren't counted as graduates."
Fang Ling shook his head, unable to remember more.
"With that level of talent, why would anyone go to such a place?" Dugu Bo couldn't understand.
"I'm curious too." Fang Ling didn't know either. Out of politeness, he hadn't questioned Qin Ming further at the time,he had just kept a straight face to avoid laughing.
The two sped up.
At the same time, Tang Hao, who was secretly watching over Tang San and Xiao Wu, suddenly sensed a familiar cold aura and frowned.
"Why is it that old poison freak again?"
After a moment's thought, he moved his lips slightly, transmitting a message.
On the other side, Dugu Bo's ears twitched, a thoughtful look flashing in his eyes.
"Disciple, have no scruples, just go snatch the person. If anyone gets in the way, your teacher will come shortly."
"Yes, teacher." Fang Ling nodded in understanding.
He could have come alone, but without bringing Dugu Bo along, dealing with Tang Hao would have been troublesome.
Now, his presence had exactly the desired effect.
Fang Ling headed toward the small village.
Dugu Bo's figure flickered and vanished from the road.
He reappeared twenty meters away from a familiar black-robed figure with a black hood.
"Tang Hao?" Dugu Bo asked cautiously, probing.
Fang Ling had told him earlier that Tang Hao would be his responsibility to handle.
Tang Hao's injuries were deep and unhealable; a fight was unlikely.
If a fight did break out, he could simply threaten Tang San.
Tang Hao demanded, "Dugu Bo, why is it you again?"
