The piece of land referred to as being recovered actually refers to the small area that became a safe zone after Lin Ye closed the Anomalous Spatial Rift in the 'Mist Swamp'.
Since the Alternate Space Lin Ye closed is only at Level 30, this area's actual size is merely about the size of one street at most.
Moreover, there are various Spatial Rifts with a base level of 50 to 60 surrounding it, making it unsuitable for settlement even if recovered.
Its only use is perhaps as a forward post for the City Defense Army, where the conditions of the ruins can be immediately detected, and warnings of Alternate Space disturbances can be reported, etc.
Building a residential area there is out of the question.
No one would want to live in such an unbuffered area that could be attacked by monsters at any moment.
Apart from being a base for constructing such a forward post, the few uses of this area include boosting the confidence of local residents.
