Janet, who had seemed a bit languid, instantly perked up.
She picked up Joao's words, "You suspect something has happened to Morgan Town?"
Joao nodded.
Janet didn't bother with her bare feet, stepping quickly out of the room and heading for the corridor.
Joao had just taken a few steps behind her when Janet's low voice reached his ears.
"What about the spies stationed in Morgan Town?"
"Didn't I say that if anything happens, they should return to the Manor and report immediately?"
Joao replied apologetically, "Sorry, Janet."
"I also don't know why the spies stationed in Morgan Town have not returned yet..."
"I suspect that something unexpected might have happened..."
Janet's questioning voice rang out, "Suspect?"
Joao lowered his head, not daring to say anything more.
