Just as Chichu Chun was about to deal with the last person, intending to utilize Rampage Unrestrained against the pursuing forces once again, her dagger sunk into someone's neck. This time, however, no blood emerged, and the soft sensation made her doubt whether her attack had really hit something solid.
"Got you." The man grinned with a rigid smile.
Chichu Chun froze, then was grabbed by the wrist and lifted into the air.
The light had been too dim earlier, but now that she was closer, she could finally see the details under the man's trench coat: he was incredibly tall, his skin covered in stitching marks, with limbs so poorly coordinated that he seemed like a patchwork of numerous body parts.
Chichu Chun was not willing to give in. Her boot tip flicked out a blade smeared with spider venom. She bent and kneed, stabbing forward with her lower leg, aiming the blade at the man's chest, targeting his heart.
