Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Geass.

"Twelve rings… twelve pupil techniques. This is my only ticket to survival in this world," Kurogai thought, his expression solemn. "But first, I need to unlock the first ring. I need a way to defend myself."

Though he was curious about the other pupil techniques that lay dormant within the totem, that was a concern for the future. For now, the only thing that mattered was activating the outermost ring—the first step toward power.

This world was too dangerous. Ordinary people were like ants—vulnerable, insignificant. He wasn't even going to talk about all the lesser threats. There were monsters, warlords, and megalomaniacs. Just look at Thanos—with a single snap, he wiped out half the universe.

Kurogai refused to gamble on a 50-50 chance of survival.

He needed power. And the trigger for the first ring, as the totem had hinted, was emotional intensity—strong enough to shake him to his core.

So, with that in mind, Kurogai burrowed deeper into Natasha Romanoff's arms, his heartbeat pounding like a drum.

This is the Black Widow, he thought. Even with her disguise, her natural allure was undeniable. It overwhelmed his young body with unfamiliar emotions.

"I'm not doing this to be a creep… I'm doing this to survive," he reminded himself, burying his head against her shoulder and forcing a shy smile onto his face.

That's right—everything he did was to awaken the first ring.

"Sweetheart, come down now. I need to speak with Director Mary," Natasha said gently, though her voice held a trace of discomfort. A faint flush colored her cheeks due to embarrassment.

As an elite spy, her instincts were sharp. She sensed something was… off. The boy in her arms clung too tightly, his emotions too intense. She didn't suspect anything dark—he was just a child, after all—but it still felt strange.

"No, Mrs. Steve," Kurogai said innocently. "The moment I saw you… I thought you looked like Director Mary. You seem like someone who'd make a wonderful mother. I just… want to be close to you."

He tightened his grip around her waist, nestling into her with a small, trembling voice.

Of course, Kurogai didn't believe a word of what he'd just said.

The truth was simple: the eye totem required emotional stimulation to activate the first ring. That brief surge wasn't enough. So, he needed to stay close—longer, deeper—drawing out the changes in his mood until it reached the threshold.

"Mrs. Steve… I love you," he whispered, his voice muffled against her chest.

(Damn, bro got potential to be a player😂)

Natasha's expression froze.

Black lines seemed to form across her forehead as she stared at the little boy in disbelief. She had gone undercover countless times—but this… this was new. She had never expected to be seduced by a five-year-old.

She gritted her teeth silently.

Kurogai didn't care what she was thinking. His mind was focused solely on drawing out as much emotional fluctuation as possible. When Natasha tried to pry him off, he clung tighter. He refused to budge.

Director Mary, seeing this odd scene, was quick to intervene. Worried that Kurogai was making a bad impression, she stepped forward and gently peeled him away from Natasha's arms.

"Come on now, Asta—Kurogai," she said with a strained smile. "Let's not trouble the nice lady."

The moment his body left Natasha's embrace, Kurogai felt it—like a thunderclap in his mind.

It's time.

A surge of energy pulsed through his forehead.

[Would you like to activate the first pupil ring?]

"Yes!" he shouted inwardly, without hesitation. He'd been waiting for this moment.

The first ring of the Ultimate Eye began to spin.

A strange force stirred in the totem embedded within his forehead. It flowed like liquid through his nerves, up into his optic pathways. His vision blurred for a moment—and then sharpened beyond imagination.

He lowered his head, letting his hair fall forward to hide the changes in his eyes.

No one noticed.

But if someone had looked closely, they would have seen a strange red glow shimmer within his purple-gold irises. In the very center of each eye, a red symbol had appeared—an inverted V, like a bird spreading its wings.

The Eye of Geass.

[First Pupil Ring Unlocked: Eye of Geass – Absolute Command.]

(It's from the anime "Code Geass",watch it if you haven't, It's good. Also you need to understand how it works to enjoy this fanfic)

"These are Lelouch's eyes…" Kurogai realized, awe spreading through him. "And I've unlocked both."

The first ability granted by the Ultimate Eye was the same as Lelouch Lamperouge's power from Code Geass: the ability to issue one absolute, irresistible command. A single order that could override free will—bend minds, break laws of ethics, and even compel someone to kill themselves if ordered.

It was terrifying. It was godlike.

It was power.

Of course, there were limitations.

He had to make direct eye contact.

And it was far less effective on people in weakened or dying states.

(The ability isn't weak tho)

But Kurogai didn't care. These were minor constraints compared to what the ability offered. In a world where death could come from alien invasions, gods, or living weapons, this was his first real tool for survival.

His hands trembled with excitement.

I've finally taken my first step.
