Chapter 5 - Awakening of the First Pilor

Previously on TRUE & LIE

Ben's dreams whispered forbidden truths:

"Adam was made exactly like God."

"Satan came not to destroy… but to stop something greater."

After the death of his adoptive mother, Ruth, Ben was left with a silver bracelet… and the mysterious name Belzebit.

His best friend, Rafael, revealed his true identity: Nathaniel, a forgotten Varikuriel — ancient watchers born before time. Together, they were hunted by Draviors, sent by the Devoir — Satan's most ancient form.

In desperation, they performed a blood ritual, summoning the fallen angel Belzebit, Abel's resurrected descendant and the strongest being Rafael had ever seen.

Belzebit told Ben the truth could no longer be avoided. He touched Ben's forehead — and memories returned.

Ben saw Elisa, the mysterious guardian of his past, revealing a forgotten lineage:

Adam carried the image of God.

Abel was resurrected — not just as a man, but as the full embodiment of the Divine.

That light… that power… flows through Ben's bloodline.

As enemies closed in, the three fled to Merioria, a forgotten realm sealed behind sacred gatesAt its entrance, a monstrous guardian rose to destroy them. But when Ben bled — his blood glowing gold and red — the beast bowed.

"Welcome back… my Lord."Chapter Five: How It All Started

Ben's knees buckled as the blood from his cut hit the earth. The beast — massive, divine, monstrous — lowered its head and whispered with a voice older than time:

"Welcome back… my Lord."

The world spun. The earth trembled. Then—darkness.

Ben opened his eyes.

He wasn't in Merioria anymore.

Soft golden light filtered through the trees. The air felt… lighter, sweeter. Gentle windhummed a lullaby. It was peaceful. Almost too peaceful.

"Ben… Ben," a voice called out.

He turned.

There, standing in the light, was a boy around his age. Dark eyes. Familiar. Too familiar.

"You did it," the boy said, smiling. "You controlled him."

Ben blinked. "Yeah… I guess I did."

But his voice was heavy. His heart even heavier. And his face — full of sadness.

"What's wrong?" the boy asked, stepping closer. "You can tell me."Ben stared at him.

"I don't even know you."

But deep in his chest… it wasn't true. He did know this boy — not with his mind, but with his soul.

The boy didn't push. He just waited.

Ben looked away. The words spilled before he could stop them.

"My mom just died," he whispered. "My second mom. Ruth. It's like… everyone who's ever loved me dies."

A shaky breath.

"And now I find out I'm not normal. That I have to fight the devil — a devil I didn't even believe existed. And I'm supposed to do it with no help? No answers?"

His fists clenched.

"I'm so tired. I don't want to be the key. I don't want to carry this blood. I don't want to be chosen. I just… I just wanted a life."

The boy nodded gently. His voice was soft, but strong.

"It's okay, Ben. You can cry. You can break. You have a human heart."

Ben's eyes welled up.

"You always had someone beside you. Ruth. Elisa. Rafael. But now… it feels like it's just Tears slipped down Ben's face.

"I don't want to be alone."

"You're not alone," the boy said. "I've always been with you."

Ben looked up sharply. "What?"

The boy knelt beside him.

"Remember what comes… goes.

But what's meant for you stays, even if the world forgets.

You will face trials. You will break.

But you will rise."

"Who are you?" Ben asked again, voice trembling. The boy smiled through his own tears.

"I'm the first.

The image they tried to erase.

The reason they're afraid.

And the part of you… they can't kill."

Before Ben could speak again, the light around the boy flared.

"Wait!" Ben cried out.

But the forest began to blur.

The light grew too bright.

The boy's voice echoed in his ears:

"What comes… goes.

But you… remainBen jolted awake, gasping.

He was back in Merioria. His body sore. The gates wide open.

Rafael knelt beside him, shouting something. Belzebit stood guard, blood on his coat.

Ben sat up slowly.

Something had changed.

He didn't just carry power now.

He carried memory.

He carried truth.

And deep inside, something whispered…

"This is how it all startedBen's eyes blinked open again. This time, he wasn't in the wilds of Merioria. He was in a stone room, dimly lit by pale blue flames. Ancient markings covered the walls like silent watchers. In front of him stood the Guardian — the monstrous beast he had bled for — now in humanoid form, majestic and terrifying all at once.

"It's been a long time," the Guardian said, his voice echoing like thunder wrapped in calm. "A long time since I saw someone of your bloodline."

Ben sat up slowly. "Where's Rafael?" he asked, his voice still groggy.

The Guardian shook his head. That is not what matters right now, Ben. Before you leave this chamber, before you set foot on the path to the Judgment Entry, you must know the truth. You must see what came before — the story of Berzebit… and of Rafael."

The room shifted — glowing runes illuminated the floor. The Guardian raised a hand.

"You will not hear the story… you will live it."

The flames flared.

The vision began.Ben stood, invisible, watching a world not his own.

In the beginning, before stars, before earth, Heaven was whole.

The angels served in harmony, radiant beings of light. Among them were three close as brothers:

Lucifer — the Morning Star, beautiful and proud.

Nathaniel — the gentle, wise one, now known as Rafael.

And Amenediel — the loyal warrior.

But peace… did not last.

Lucifer began to question. To desireWhy should we serve? Why should He alone rule?"

The first he whispered to… was Nathaniel.

The second… Amenediel.

And slowly… their whispers became flames.

One-third of Heaven followed the Morning Star. A rebellion rose.

And God — in His almighty judgment — cast them down.

Lucifer fell… and the world changed.

But something strange happened.

Nathaniel — Rafael — lost his memoryNo one knew why.

Not Heaven. Not Hell.

Not even God spoke of it.

The vision shifted again.

Now, Ben saw a different time. A different fall.

"Long, long ago," the Guardian's voice echoed,

"The sons of Heaven looked upon the daughters of men…"

But not just human daughters. One of the angels — a high one — fell in love with a being that was not fully human. A descendant of Kayin.Kayin… the cursed son of Adam.

When God punished him, he was marked — transformed. No longer fully man. Something else.

Something the Devil blessed.

From that unholy union came… Berzebit.

Not angel. Not demon. Not man.

A cursed hybrid.

That's why the Charmed Ones wanted him — why they said he should have joined their master. His bloodline… was born of rebellion and defiance. The vision ended.

Ben staggered back into the room, heart pounding.

"Why… why are you showing me this?" he asked.

The Guardian looked him in the eye.

"Because, Ben… you are next."

"The path to judgment is open. But know this — if you walk with the wrong ones, you will not survive."

Ben's throat tightened. "Then… what should I do?"The Guardian's voice lowered. Grave. Final.

"You must kill Rafael."

Ben froze.

"He walked with the Devil. He knew the plan. He was the first whisper. The seed of all this… started with him."

"No," Ben whispered. "Rafael… he's my friend."

"He was your friend," the Guardian said. "But he was also the first traitor."

Ben stared at the flame-lit room. The weight of the world on his shoulders.Rafael… Nathaniel… His second mother gone. His truth exposed. His purpose unclear.

And now?

Now he was told he had to choose.

Kill his friend… or die in judgment
