" watch out!! " azel shouts as he quickly rushes towords miho.
Miho confused stood still and looked around his surroundings.
But it was too late as azel rushed into where miho is and embraced him then azel convulsed.
Then as miho looks behind azel he saw a small figure it a safe distance it has a height that can only reach to his knees with pale skin and pointy ears and a somewhat rageful expression on its face its hand holding a bow.
" water ray!!!!" Azel shouts as he turns around then the creature runs away the spell seemingly missing the creature.
" stupid imps" azel said as he then gasps breathing heavily as he lower his shoulders.
Then miho circles around azel looking at him closely then he saw an arrow stuck on azel's right shoulder.
" you got hit because of me" miho said as he made a sad expression.
" I'm sorry i wasn't paying attention to my surroundings" miho said lowering his head as he can't get himself to look at azel.
Azel smiles " ohhh come on it's just a scratch look!" Azel said as he pulls the arrow out of his shoulder.
Then he screamed " ouch!!" Azel said as he hold his right shoulder pain is evident in his face.
Miho took a quick glance just to look down again after seeing azel in pain.
" come on cheer up I'll be alright all we need is to find a church and a cleric or priest will patch me up besides i can't expect a kid to look after me it's not your fault" azel said as he caresses miho's head
" but I'm no longer a kid" miho whispered as he lets out a sigh
" go on smile" azel said as he made miho look at him then pinching his cheek
Then miho smiled at azel's gesture
" there much better" azel pats miho's head
Later azel tears a part of his shirt on the abdomen area up to the back revealing his well toned body then he wrapped the piece of cloth into his right shoulder
Then the two of them proceeds walking azel holding miho with his left hand
" so why didn't you deflect the arrow with magic?" Miho asked as the two of them proceeds walking
Then azel stopped on his tracks " i- my body moved on it's own?" Azel said in a uncertain tone
" well that's uhh-" miho's words trailed off as he shakes his head
" what?" Azel asks confused as he looks at miho
" nothing" said miho dismissively
" tell me?"
" it's nothing really"
Time passed and the sun has descended.
Azel rummaged through remains of a broken house collecting woods then he picked up some rocks as he then puts all of it in one place on the ground .
" alright now we set camp here" azel said as he then starts rubbing the rock against each other.
" wait in the open? What if monsters attack us?" Miho said as he stood in front of azel with a concerned look.
" we don't have a choice we've been walking since earlier and we didn't see a proper house all of are destroyed"
" but-" miho objects.
" Besides it's already too dark it'll be easier for monsters to ambush us it's better if we setup a fire and be somewhere with light"
Miho sighs as he sat beside azel who's still busy rubbing the rocks against each other.
" don't worry no matter what i will protect you" azel said without looking at miho as he keeps rubbing the stone against each other.
" why not use a fire spell or something to light things faster?" Miho said as he watches azel rub the stone against each other.
" how i wish i knew a fire spell at this moment" azel sighs a he proceeds rubbing the stones.
" what do you mean?" Miho looks at azel confused.
" i only know water spell specifically the one I've been using since yesterday. Oh hey!! It lit up now" azel said enthusiastically as the woods starts burning illuminating the dark night.
For someone who only knows a single spell he sure is efficient with it. Miho thoughts to himself.
" wait what's that in your neck? " azel said as he's staring at miho's neck.
Then azel approached miho looking at him closely " your head " azel said gesturing miho to tilt his head.
Miho tilted his head confused as azel took a closer look on miho's neck.
" a butterfly???" Azel said confused as he looks at miho's neck.
"what butterfly?" Miho said as he keeps tilting his head.
" a blue butterfly and it seems to be engraved in your skin do you know where you get this?" Azel said as he moves away and looks at miho.
Miho shakes his head while looking at azel.
" that's strange I'm pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday"
It wasn't there yesterday? Wait. Miho thought to himself.
Could it be related to my dream earlier this morning?. Miho thought to himself as he remembers his dream.
" I'll make it right this time i promise" comes a female voice out of nowhere.
I wonder what will she " make it right? " and do i even know her?. Several thoughts keeps going in his mind
But then miho's train of thoughts got interrupted.
" we need to get you checked in a church somewhere " azel said with a serious look on his face.
" but why? " miho said concern is evident on his voice.
" well it could be a curse from a witch for all we know " azel said as he shrugs.
Witches huh? Well i hope it isn't the case. Miho thought to himself concerned
" anyways you need to sleep right now you must be tired from all that walking" azel said which snapped miho out of his thoughts.
" but where?" Miho said as he scans the surroundings.
Azel smiles sitting on the ground as he looks at miho and pats his own legs.
Miho a bit hesitant looks at azel for a moment then later he starts to rest his head on azel's lap while also feeling the rough ground on his back.
" just sleep everything will be alright" azel said as he caresses miho's head.
Every caress azel makes miho's eyes starts to feel heavier and heavier.
I guess i am tired after all. Miho thought to himself as he looks at azel with a smiling face.
Then miho noticed the dark circles around azel's eyes.
Looks like he hasn't been sleeping i should tell him to also go to sl-
But before miho can finish his train of thoughts he fell asleep not able to tell what's in his mind he went into a slumber.
Then later miho wakes up his eyes facing the campfire his head on the ground.
Then miho hears a growl quickly he gets up
Then right in front in between of him and the campfire stood a fat monster standing on its feet with a green skin and facial feature that reassembles that of a pig its hand holding a wooden club it's an orc.
The orc starts walking slowly drawing close.
An orc huh? Well it's definitely smaller and it moves way too slow slower compared to that minotaur we've fought earlier this morning sure even though azel is hurt his right shoulder I'm sure he can handle it pretty easily. Miho thoughts to himself confidently.
Now where is he. Miho thought to himself as he slowly moves away then he scans his surroundings.
" there you ar-" miho's words trailed off as he saw azel.
Terror there is terror on azel's eyes as he's frozen in place his hands shaking as he's sitting on the ground.
But why? Why is he just sitting there?. Miho thought to himself confused as he watches azel's uncontrollable trembling.
Then the orc started walking past miho walking into azel's direction.
Then raising it's wooden club as it gets close to azel the orc slams the club into azel's wounded right shoulder which sent azel flying a little distance and lying on the ground.
"GAHHHHHHHHH!!" azel screams in pain as blood starts to mark in the cloth that's wrapped around his wounded shoulder.
" noooooooooo!!!" Miho shouts as he quickly runs into azel.
The miho gives azel a concerned look " can you stand?" Miho tries his best to pull azel holding his hand but miho's small figure proves it difficult to pull azel.
Then azel's eyes is locked in the front his eyes still filled with terror miho can feel the violent trembling in azel's hand.
Then in the front the orc proceeds approaching slowly towards azel's direction with a cruel grin in its face.
