"Renya, why are you so fast?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen and Uchiha Kagami entered the command tent, speaking in unison.
As soon as they received the news, they rushed over to support.
But the battle had already ended.
If not for Hanzō of the Salamander being present, they would've thought they'd gone to the wrong battlefield.
Renya was stunned by these sudden words. What kind of wild talk were these two spouting?
Being too fast wasn't a good thing for a man!
Even though he had no plans to get married, he couldn't just let the two of them slander him…
"What do you two mean?"
"What do we mean?" Sarutobi Hiruzen asked, confused. "We're just saying you were fast."
"Yeah, Renya, you were way too fast!" Uchiha Kagami agreed. "We hadn't even arrived yet, and you were already done."
Renya: "…"
It felt like these two were deliberately mocking him.
They both had kids, they definitely knew exactly what they were implying.
This was absolutely intentional!
"I heard from Hanzō that you killed the Third Mizukage. Is that true?"
Fortunately, the two stopped discussing the previous topic. Sarutobi Hiruzen asked with a smile.
"Of course it's true. Just three Kage-level opponents— I directly counter-killed one on the spot."
Renya said proudly.
If the Tsuchikage and Raikage hadn't run so fast, he would've told all three of them:
Three against one and you still get counter-killed— do you guys even know how to fight?
"As expected of Renya-kun, you're incredible!"
Mitokado Homura and Koharu entered the tent with smiles. Homura followed behind her.
"Why did you two leave the battlefield?" Uchiha Kagami asked curiously.
"The Tsuchikage's forces have temporarily retreated, so we came to check the reason."
Mitokado Homura pushed up his glasses, looking as if everything made perfect sense.
"I knew this had something to do with Renya…"
Earlier he'd wondered why the Iwagakure forces suddenly retreated for no reason— turns out Renya had defeated the Tsuchikage on the battlefield.
That made everything clear.
"Renya-kun is getting stronger and stronger. You can even defeat three Kage alone now!"
Koharu teased with a smile. "If Danzo knew, he'd definitely be very happy!"
"I've already sent the news back to the village. I'm sure Hokage-sama has already seen it."
The overall commander, Nara Mikage, said at just the right moment— completely unaware of everyone's strange expressions.
"If Danzo knows, that's good, that's very good!"
"I'm sure he'll reward Renya properly."
Then he began winking and making sneaky faces right in front of Renya.
Nara Mikage didn't react at all, and subconsciously touched his clever head.
He couldn't understand why everyone was laughing.
What he said didn't seem wrong, right?
Meanwhile, the person involved already had a dark expression and desperately wanted to punch all of them in the face.
"You guys… stop imagining weird things, okay?"
Hearing this, Sarutobi Hiruzen and the others immediately tried to become serious, but after looking at each other trying not to laugh, they all cracked and burst into laughter inside the tent.
Even with professional training since childhood, they still couldn't hold it in.
Renya: "…"
Forget it, I'll go cool off somewhere else.
These guys were beyond saving.
"Renya, don't go!"
Seeing this, Sarutobi Hiruzen tried to follow him out— only to see Renya suddenly freeze mid-step.
Huh? Since when did Renya become so obedient?
Just as he felt confused, he heard Renya's surprised voice.
"Old man, why are you here?"
The group peeked outside— Senju Tobirama had appeared at the entrance of the command tent at some point.
"Tobirama-sensei!"
They immediately greeted him respectfully.
Renya stared blankly at Senju Tobirama. Why had this old guy suddenly come to the battlefield?
He couldn't be here to make him cook again, right?
That shouldn't be… since when did this old guy become such a glutton?!
Senju Tobirama's red eyes locked firmly onto Renya, trying to see any abnormality…
But Renya looked completely normal, not possessed by any other personality.
But that didn't mean there wasn't a problem.
Sometimes no problem was the biggest problem!
Back then, because he didn't intervene early enough with Renya's second personality, the experiment had been exposed.
He could not allow that to happen again!
"You all leave. I have business with the commander."
Nara Mikage was confused. Why was the Second Hokage looking for him?
Did he make a wrong command earlier, and now the Second Hokage had personally come to hold him accountable?
Once Renya and the others left, only the two of them remained inside the tent.
"Renya, what do you think Tobirama-sensei needs from Commander?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen asked with confusion.
The others also looked at Renya, hoping he could answer.
After all, he was Tobirama-sensei's adopted son.
"Why are you asking me? How would I know?"
Renya snapped. He wasn't the worms in that old guy's stomach.
Who knew what Senju Tobirama came to the battlefield for…
Surely not because of him?
Inside the commander's tent.
"In your letter you said Renya may have a mental illness. Is that true?"
Senju Tobirama directly stated his purpose.
Nara Mikage froze for a moment, then quickly understood.
"Second-sama, it's true."
He honestly described Renya's strange behaviors from before.
Senju Tobirama's expression grew increasingly grave— it seemed the kid had developed another new personality.
As for why such personalities kept appearing?
He didn't even need to think— it must be related to Uchiha Madara!
Renya absolutely must have been secretly meeting Madara behind his back, which caused new personalities to emerge.
In that case, Renya's second personality back then wasn't his fault.
It was the inherently evil Uchiha Madara's doing.
Senju Tobirama's expression darkened. He wished he could kill Madara right now.
But unfortunately, that guy hid himself too well.
Seeing his expression, Nara Mikage vaguely guessed Renya might truly have serious mental problems.
Serious enough that the Second Hokage personally rushed here to confirm it.
It seemed this wasn't the first time.
"Do not let this matter be known to anyone else."
Senju Tobirama instructed, knowing Nara Mikage had guessed the truth.
"Second-sama, I understand. I guarantee no one else will know!"
Nara Mikage said solemnly.
Anyone who could become the Nara clan head was no fool— he naturally understood the danger of careless words.
Senju Tobirama nodded slightly, then turned and left the tent.
"Kid, come here."
He called out to Renya, who was sheltering from the rain nearby.
"Old man, what happened?" Renya asked in confusion as he approached.
Senju Tobirama didn't respond immediately, instead examining him carefully.
What kind of personality had appeared this time?
"Old man, say something. Why are you staring at me?"
Renya felt creeped out by the old man's stare and instinctively stepped back.
Could it be that the old man knew he was catching tailed beasts for Madara-sama?!
No way…
He had hidden it extremely well.
"Kid, have you met Madara recently?"
Renya: "???"

I recommend checking out my new Pokémon fanfic, "Pokémon System: Me, the Strongest Champion of the League"! It features a system that isn't overpowered, keeping the story balanced and engaging. The main character isn't Ash, but an original, cool MC, which makes it even more enjoyable to read. I'd love to hear your feedback!
