DARKER WATERS Location the Oasis Dungeon Area 5
After they took down more monsters in the Deluded Depths. Facing off with more drowned sailors, cannon crabs, ice snarks, and ruins. Gaining more exp-drops, along with more materials to sell later from the snarks and crabs. Cerberus, she was soo excited at the sights!! Fishes and other underwater beauties, that she'd accidentally broke a arch of coral. Making a nice discovery. Seems like they can take the coral itself, Kneesocks and Albedo, both commented. That many devils, are apart or into deep-sea items and life. Meaning that they'd gain a new product to sell. Laharl, petted and kissed each of the triplets. Making the dog-devil, very flushed and happy. As they'd all carried on. They'll occasionally take a piece of coral, sea rock, and even if luck some anemones as well. This even gave Laharl the desire to make himself, a private aquarium. Back when he was a human, in his previous life. He'd always wanted one, but didn't have the time or finance to own one. But now that's a whole other story, plus with some magic, he can even get some magical fishes. An idea for the future. They went deeper and deeper into the dungeon level. Fighting more enemies, and gaining more exp-drops. Many of the peerage, have managed to reach the Blue color of the Stat Levels. Which was definitely, a great thing for them. Also the more deeper, they'd traverse the darker things become. The only light source, being luminescent algy, coral, and jellyfish floating around them. Honestly all of them...minus Caulifla, cause that stuff didn't interest her...we're at awe, at the beautiful view and lights. Eventually while facing off with some drafting ruin, and ice snarks. A new enemy, appeared to attack them.
Kneesock immediately recognized the new floating and swimming monsters, as Shipwreck Shark. Which are basically pirate ship like sharks, with eyes orange color and glow, and they have a cross through each of their eyes. They have fairly large, thin, pointy teeth that are unevenly spaced out. Their body, although made of wood, show no signs of muscle nor innards or organs anywhere. The wood is simply shaped to look like a Shark's spine and ribcage. There are two flags torn in half on their spine, which show the symbol of the common black pirate flag. Swooping through the waters. Diving down, to attack them. Kneesocks, she changed her scythe into a chain-sickle. Spinning it and piercing one of the shipwreck sharks. Hooking onto the monster, and started spinning the shipwreck around. Before slamming the shark, into the sand floor. Killing it. She took charge, taking Daki, Zombina, and Kyoko to deal with the shipwreck sharks. While the rest handle the ice snarks, and drifting ruins. Nero, she dashed forwards with her Aestus Estus at the ready. Setsuna, Cerberus, Caulifla, Rumi, and Albedo right behind her, to take out all these monsters. Albedo chopping down, through the hard shells of the cannon crabs. Nero, blitz through the ice snarks, slashing, slicing, and paroleting across the ocean-floor. Cerberus, would split-up smashing through snarks and crabs. Using their versatile, and unpredictable fighting style, to help their friends and sister-lovers. Together they quickly took out, the enemies on the ground. Even when drowned sailors, and more ice snarks, appeared in the area. They'd weren't the least bit worried. Laharl, along with Ruby started bombarding the new enemies, with dark and chaos projectiles from their Dark Bolts, and Anarchy Bolts, respectively. Taking out a large number of the enemy reinforcements. Zombina, seeing this she'd provided them backup. Using one of her Gun Techniques, the Gunman's Spirit. Pulling out her smgs, and firing a barrage of demonic energy bullets, at the sailors and snarks. Which not only were they damaging, her targets but also lifting them off the ground. Unable to escape her onslaught. She'd smirked her jagged teeth, spun her guns, befor finishing her targets. Shooting one final time, with a more powerful shot. Laharl and Ruby, saw the zombie-devil, take out more than a dozen enemies alone. And they smiled and gave her thumbs-up, making Zombina chuckle a bit. As they all went back to fighting.
At the end. After a while, they slew all the monsters. Leaving behind a surge of experience. With blue, orange, white, cyan, purple, and including red exp-drops, from shipwreck sharks. All scattered around the seabed, from all the slain monsters. They absorbed all the exp-drops. Laharl, went ahead and collected the crabs, snark, and remains of the shipwreck sharks. As they'd continued on. Eventually, after fighting a couple more groups of monsters. They'd arrived at a new area in the dungeon level. It was lite up, with various hanging lights, modeled after the pirate era. It was a wooden port, comprised of various shipwrecks, and sunked pirate ships. It was Barrelbottom, exactly like Alice: MR. Kneesocks, she was fighting the erge to have a nostalgia overload. As she'd really, got into that Alice in Wonderland version. While it was still some walk away, from were they stood. Laharl, he suspect whatever Boss is waiting in this level, it be found in Barrelbottom. So summoning his Vritra Zanbato again, he told the girls that they should keep moving. Agreeing with him, they headed straight to Barrelbottom...
FIFTH OASIS BOSS Location the Oasis Dungeon Area 5, Boss Area: Barrelbottom Square
The young devils, finally reached the port-town. Barrelbottom is the underwater town of the Deluded Depths at its heart. The game usually had fish like residents, bustling around the town. This place also holds Carpenter's shows in high regard at the Dreary Lane Theatre. Which the level in Alice: MR would end, after the train, wrecked everything. It was like a ghost town. Only lanterns and lights, floating alit under the water. Ships remodeled as various structures, everywhere. But regardless on what seems to be a empty, sunken port. Many, many previous experiences with dungeon bosses. Taught them. Bosses liked to make a entrance, both in real-life and video games. And almost if on quoe, something dived onto the Dreary Lane Theatre. Completely destroying it, kicking up sand, blocking everyone's sight. As stomping could be heard, the Boss finally appeared...
Coming out the sandcloud, was a iconic monster in the Wonderland universe. It's the freaking Jabberwock, from the first game!! The pale dragon monster. Honestly, Laharl though the Alice the Madness, has a Lovecraftian design. With a very withered, and almost skeletal body. With a furnace core, chestplate. That is connected to massive, robotic almost steampunk like wings. The Jabberwock, has a European like draconian design, with very long limbs, that end in sharp claws and talons. A almost beak like snout, with razor-sharp teeth. Glowing, burning eyes, and nearly three time the size of Laharl and the others. Roaring menacingly. Of all the bosses in this universe of Wonderland, the Jabberwock, was the least that Laharl, expected to face. Almost reminding him of the Justice Boss fight, in the HOTD level of a previous dungeon. Just everyone was gonna lay on, the Jabberwock. Kneesocks, she stood forward. Adjusting her glasses, as she strutted towards the Boss. With a smirk, and her Golden Spandex, resting over her shoulder. She said out loud, "Beloved. Sisters. Let me, discipline this overgrown lizard." Rare for Kneesocks, to be so into a fight. Everyone shrugged, and took a step back, letting the bishop to take on the Deluded Depths Boss. Jabberwock, roared at Kneesocks, as he breathe fire at Kneesocks. Somehow. Let just call it Wonderland, bullshit. Regardless, Kneesocks, she easily dodge the Boss' fire breathe. Attacking the Boss, with a reverse rising slash, across the belly of the Jabberwock. Making the Boss, hiss out in pain. Flapping his wings, in order to get away from Kneesocks. With the Boss, making distance between them, Kneesocks decided to attack from afar. Using her Cradle in the Dark, against the Boss. Kneesocks, she gathers her demonic magic into a golden and magenta colored ball. She launched the ball into the air, before spiking it towards the Boss. Exploding upon impacting, against the Jabberwock.
Once again making the Boss, hiss in pain. Kneesocks pressing her advantage over the Boss. She started throwing more, Cradles in the Dark, at the Jabberwock. Hitting the Boss with four more, magenta demonic energy projectiles. So the Jabberwock, flapped it wings. Using them to fly...or better describe, swim in this place. The Jabberwock's eyes, started glowing before firing yellow beams from his eyes. Aim straight at Kneesocks. Who started, running across the boardwalk of the Barrelbottom. While Raven used some of her magic, to protect herself and the group, from backlash of the battle. As they'd watched Kneesocks, run and dodge all of Jabberwock's beam attacks. She finally rushed in. Transforming her Golden Spandex, into its chain-sickle form. Spinning it over her head, and launching the sickle at the Boss. Managing to hook-on the tail of the Boss. Which in turn, made the Boss roar out in pain. Flying...swimming around the port-town, trying to toss Kneesocks off of himself. Pulling herself onto the back of the Jabberwock, she readied her next attack. Charing a big attack, specifically her Sweet Lament, technique. Gathering a large amount of demonic energy in a pinkish-magenta and golden ball. Getting larger than her, and once fully charged, and readt to be fired. She shot her Sweet Lament at her target, the spot between the wings of the Boss. Which connects the mechanical wings to the Boss' body. Getting rid of the Jabberwock's, biggest advantage over her...flight. Firing her giant projectile, hitting her target without fail. A huge pinkish-magenta, energy explosion happened. As Jabberwock, roared out in utter agony. Much of the area, was burned by Kneesocks' attack. Along with destroying one wing, while heavily damaging the other. Without those said wings, the Boss' size and weight, made him sank like rock falling into a pond. Before crashing, Kneesocks, she freed her chain-sickle, and leaped off the Jabberwock's back. Taking some inspiration, from the game, she began to swim down to the port-town below. Without falling...or sinking fast. Letting the Jabberwock, crash onto boardwalk below.
As the Boss crashed onto a shipwreck building. Rumi, Ruby, and Caulifla, they were very impressed by Kneesocks actions. Albedo, smiled and complimented her sister. She was more than keeping up, with a powerful enemy using her size, skill, and power against the Boss. Setsuna, Raven, Nero, and Mizore, agreeing with their Queen piece. Kneesocks, safely landed onto the Barrelbottom boardwalk. Turning to the sand and muck cloud, kicked up by the Boss' crash. Having a excite smile on her, red face. Her eyes focused for any movement. As the Boss emerged, with one less wing, and badly damaged remain wing. The Jabberwock, looked around for a bit. Until his eyes, lock on at Kneesocks. The one responsible for all the pain, that he suffered. Stomping forward, smashing what remained of the mass of the shipwreck. That he crashed onto. Roaring at Kneesocks. Before slightly opening his mouth, charging a purple energy in his maw. And then firing a powerful, purple mouth beam at Kneesocks. Kneesocks, she started running. Evading the death-beam, chasing after her. Turning as she started, charging at the Boss, with the purple beam, chasing behind her. Once close enough, she leaped over the Boss. Slashing her scythe, across the belly of the Jabberwock causing some damage. And like the main game, caused the Boss to be stunned. Letting Kneesocks unleash a barrage of slashes onto the Boss. The Jabberwock, tried to hit Kneesocks, with a claw attack. This made Kneesocks bounce back, evading the Boss latest attack.
The advantage of being smaller, and faster than a huge Boss. The Jabberwock, roared as it started stomping forward. Chasing after her. Throwing claw swipes, stomps, and bite attacks, at Kneesocks. Who avoided all the Boss' attacks. Jumping over the last bite attack, she drew back Golden Spandex, and slashed her scythe across the right eye of the Jabberwock. Landing her attack, and causing a massive amount of damage. Destroying, the right eye of the Lovecraftian dragon. Making the Boss, pull back very aggressively, shrieking in utter agony. Now it was half-blind, and suffering. Laharl, he whistled in admiration. Kneesocks she is very sadistic, but also a smart fighter. Taking out the vulnerable points of the Boss. Jabberwock, took some steps back, and attacked with a fire breathe. Trying to both push back, and kill Kneesocks. But like many times before, she easily dodged all the Boss attacks, as this battle was closing it's end...
