So, I started my new journey with the money I saved through part-time jobs.
'Can I get a house on rent within 90 dollars?' I asked to one of the landlady on phone.
'Are you kidding me? 90? Extremely sorry, the rent amount is about 200 dollars ma'am!'
'Oh, I see, thank you ma'am.'
I switched off my phone after that. 'Arghhhh! Why the hell the rent have to be sooo high!'
'Rent?' asked Bhaskar out of nowhere.
'Aaaaaa! You scared me. Are you a ghost or something? Coming out of nowhere.'
'What are you renting? House? Why?'
'I left home.'
'Wh-What!'
'Why?'
'Because, I want to! My father really pressurizes me to take over his company. WHICH I DON'T WANT!'
'Okay, okay! Calm down! So, what's the context!'
'You know, truthfully if I say, I never felt comfortable growing up in that family. I used to have a brother who had the potential to become the true heir of our company. He was loved by my parents while leaving me alone in the hands of nanny. Even though I will definitely say my mother tried to never make me feel lonely. She loves as much as she loves my brother But, my brother was a homo while my father was homophobic. After learning that my brother was dating a guy at school, he was furious. He slashed him with whips more than 40 till the floor was covered with blood. Nobody in the house had that much bravery to face him. My father was 56 years old still standing strong that time. He send my brother to foreign so that the reputation doesn't get tarnished. After that he even abused my mother after coming home every night being a drunk. My mother used to lock me up in my room to protect me. Then, one day, I became a victim of his nonsense legacy. And so, obviously after all of this I had to go through the same that I have to become the heir, have to get full marks, when my dream is to become a pilot as you know.'
'That's a lot harsh!'
'I know. Now, he can't fight back because of oldage. My mother forgave him like nothing happened. So, what about my brother?'
My eyes welled up being questioning myself.
'Wanna move into my house?'
I looked straight into his eyes, judging every way possible...
'Hey! Hey! Don't get any wrong idea. I just want you to stay at my house rather than living on streets and get cold. You can obviously leave after you find suitable house for you to stay!'
'Y.o.u. d.o.n't. h.a.v.e. a.n.y. o.t.h.e.r. I.n.t.e.n.t.i.o.n., Right!'
'Nope! No other I.N.T.E.N.T.I.O.N.S.!'
'Okay, but isn't yours too close to mine?'
'It's okay not that close either. Now, let's go.'
