"Bring all the giants from Elbaf to Totto Land? Wororororo, that's a brilliant idea. Perfect timing, Caesar—now that you have the Memory-Memory Fruit, you can control them all. This way, our pirate crew will gain an entire army of giants!"
Kaido's eyes gleamed with excitement.
He had long held a grudge against the giants.
If not for Filina's influence, Kaido would have already wiped them out.
Linlin also rejoiced, "Mamamama, this is wonderful! Finally, my Totto Land will have the giant race—and not just any, but all of them! Later, we can have Doflamingo bring the dwarves from Dressrosa to Totto Land as well. Big and small together—what a delightful sight!"
Due to her childhood stay in the giants' village, Linlin had always harbored a fascination for the massive beings.
Years ago, she had even collaborated with Doflamingo on a project—human gigantification experiments conducted by Caesar Clown on Punk Hazard Island.
Later, it was said that Caesar had achieved some success, producing numerous children who, though not yet adults, were already as large as giants.
Unfortunately, the Straw Hat Luffy and his crew interfered, and those enlarged children were eventually returned to their families by the G-5 Marines.
At that moment, Yamato suddenly turned and solemnly requested of Caesar.
"Uncle, I have a favor to ask of you."
Caesar raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"I want you to erase some of my memories. Those related to Oden and the Kozuki Clan."
"Oh?"
Caesar and Kaido exchanged glances before turning their attention back to Yamato.
Yamato spoke earnestly, "Oden made me an unfilial and disloyal person. I don't want my memories to retain the past where I aspired to become Oden and protect Wano Country. Those memories only fill me with guilt and resentment. I don't want to live like that among everyone. So, Uncle, I hope you can erase those terrible memories from my mind."
Caesar frowned. "Are you sure, Yamato? Perhaps keeping those memories isn't entirely bad. Life's experiences shape who we become."
Yamato shook her head firmly. "No. Those memories only make me sick, filling me with self-loathing."
Caesar glanced at Kaido, silently asking for his input.
After a moment of contemplation, Kaido nodded.
"I think it's acceptable. I don't want Yamato to live in guilt for the rest of her life. That would sadden Filina."
Seeing both Kaido and Yamato in agreement, Caesar relented.
"Very well. Come here, and I'll remove those unpleasant memories of Wano Country for you."
Yamato obediently stepped forward and stood in front of Caesar.
Caesar reached out his large hand, extracting Yamato's memories, and began erasing large portions of her recollections about Wano Country and Kozuki Oden.
It felt as if time had rewound to over a month ago on Whole Cake Island.
That day, Caesar, Kaido, Yamato, and Pudding had attempted to forcibly erase Yamato's memories.
But in the end, due to Yamato's fierce resistance and Kaido's reluctant compromise, the effort was abandoned.
Now, having come to understand everything and freed herself from her emotional burdens, Yamato was voluntarily requesting the erasure of these memories.
"Dad... Daddy."
Caesar paused and glanced at Pudding.
Pudding's small face flushed red as she stammered softly to Caesar, "Could you... erase those memories of Yamato's too?"
Caesar blinked. "Huh? What memories?"
Pudding's face grew even redder.
She fidgeted with her fingers before finally mustering the courage to say.
"The ones where... where she wanted to marry me!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, Pudding buried her face in her chest, too embarrassed to look up.
Caesar's mouth twitched.
Scratching his head, he nodded seriously.
"You're right. I almost forgot. Kaido, if your daughter's sexual orientation becomes an issue, you can forget about ever holding a grandchild."
Surprisingly, Kaido sided with Pudding this time.
"Exactly, it's good to adjust this child's behavior. Since she's a woman, she should act like one and stop treating herself like a man. You're right, Caesar. It's time to find Yamato a husband. Hiss... grandchildren. Woroorororo! I'm almost sixty—it's about time I became a grandfather."
Kaido's face broke into a foolish grin at the thought of familial bliss.
And so, the matter concerning Yamato was settled.
Though the outcome remained the same—Yamato's memories were ultimately altered—the process was far less cruel, devoid of the previous struggle and pain.
By now, it was the dead of night.
They had arrived at dusk and worked straight through until morning.
Counting back, Caesar hadn't slept for three days and nights.
Yet he remained full of energy, his spirits undiminished.
After having Pudding take Yamato back to her quarters to rest, Caesar was about to catch some sleep with Linlin when the Den Den Mushi in his pocket rang.
"Hello? Doffy? What's up so late at night?"
Caesar picked up the receiver, noting how the snail had taken on Doflamingo's likeness.
From the other end came Doflamingo's tense, subdued voice.
"Boss, something seems to have happened in Wano Country."
"What? What's going on?" Caesar frowned.
Linlin leaned in, her eyes questioning, but Caesar waved her off.
"It's nothing, Linlin. Tomorrow, you, Kaido, and Yamato handle the Elbaf situation. Go get some rest now—I'll take care of everything else."
With that, Caesar left the hall, transforming into a golden-winged bird to return to Whole Cake Island and get details from Doflamingo.
"Hey! Wait for me! My Eight Precepts are still on Whole Cake Island!" Kaido shouted, running after him.
Without waiting for permission, he leaped onto Caesar's avian back.
Caesar was abruptly forced downward as he was stepped on, quickly expanding his size to dozens of meters.
"Bastard, can't you fly over yourself? You just had to step on my back?" Caesar snapped angrily.
Kaido chuckled darkly.
"I've been drinking. No flying when drunk, no drinking when flying. To ensure I live long enough to hold my grandchild, I need to take good care of my life."
"Cut the crap! Who are you planning to marry Yamato off to? It's not Doflamingo, is it? Though I do admire his brains, I'd advise you to think carefully. With that simple-minded fool of a daughter you have, Doflamingo could easily manipulate her. Watch out or he might use and discard her someday."
Caesar flapped his wings and soared high, swiftly cutting through the night as he flew like lightning toward Whole Cake Island.
Kaido roared in anger, "Bullshit! He wouldn't dare! I'd skin him alive! Wait—when did I ever say I was marrying Yamato off to Joker? Don't go spouting nonsense."
"Heh, then I really can't think of anyone else in our Beast God Pirates who'd be a match for Yamato."
