Chapter 21 - That Decoy Move Was Genius!

[A few months later, you turned 1.]

You acted completely normal, no one suspected anything unusual.

[A year passed. You turned 2.]

Once again, you remained low-key. Only your parents thought you were exceptionally gifted.

What they didn't know was that after two years of nurturing, your physique was already far beyond ordinary.

Meanwhile, your chakra, refined through your True Clone, had doubled.

Although your strength was far from weak, you chose not to take risks. You quietly passed another year.

[At age 3, you began your journey into ninjutsu. Your first target: your father.]

A month later, you had secretly mastered all the jutsu your parents knew.

Your thirst for knowledge grew. You set your sights on the clan academy.

Using Kamui just once, you successfully stole the jutsu scrolls you were after.

[Three months later, you had fully mastered the Uchiha clan's Fire Release techniques. Your power grew noticeably.]

Though your knowledge was still limited to Fire Release, you chose to stop chasing more jutsu for now.

Instead, you focused on refining and perfecting what you had.

[By age 4, your mastery of the Uchiha Fire Style was unmatched. You could perform any technique with fewer than five hand signs.]

Despite your desire for real combat, you stayed cautious, opting not to act recklessly.

You continued refining chakra while nurturing your Sharingan with it.

Su Yang: …

"This simulated version of me is ridiculously cautious."

A little too cautious, perhaps.

Still, Su Yang wasn't displeased. This simulation had a specific purpose.

Primary goal: Secure the True Clone talent.

Secondary goal: Achieve a high enough rating to unlock bonus rewards.

Tertiary goal: Bring back chakra as a carryover, forget about the Mangekyō for now; its cost (100,000 points) was way too steep.

[At age 5, another year passed.]

Your chakra reserves had tripled compared to when you were born.

You also noticed subtle changes in your Mangekyō Sharingan, it had become slightly stronger.

When using Kamui, its power had improved, albeit marginally.

Then one day, your father left for a mission… and never returned.

You felt a gnawing sense of dread, as if something terrible was looming.

[Seven days later, the clan head confirmed your fears, your father had died in action.]

Your mother, devastated by the loss, collapsed. Once again, a sense of unease filled your heart.

[Three months later, the Ninja Academy opened its doors.]

Weakened by grief, your mother could no longer care for you and decided to enroll you early. You agreed.

Despite your ordinary classroom performance, your striking looks attracted a few fangirls.

You kept a low profile, but still noticed a peculiar gaze watching you.

You suspected it was the Third Hokage using his Telescope Technique to spy on you. That made you even more cautious.

Sure enough, after a month, the observation ceased. You realized the Hokage had finished his assessment and found you unremarkable.

You now understood: any Uchiha child entering the Academy would be secretly evaluated.

This only deepened your resolve to stay hidden.

[At age 6, the day after your birthday, your mother passed away.]

Overwhelmed by your father's death, she fell into despair and never recovered.

Her passing severed your last emotional tie to the Uchiha clan, and even to Konoha.

Still, you made no moves. You kept up your usual habits, remaining silent and low-profile.

[Four months later, out of nowhere, you were ambushed.]

The assassin was a Chūnin, no match for your abilities. You activated your Sharingan and interrogated him.

He was from Root. You feared that Danzō might've uncovered your secret. But soon you realized that wasn't the case.

The Root operative had only been told to "capture you and bring you to a facility." Even he didn't know why.

Still, you feared Root would send more people.

Su Yang nodded along.

"So far, pretty similar to the last simulation."

But what came next was completely unexpected,

[You were right. Three days later, another Root ninja appeared.]

This time, it was a Jōnin.

You had no experience fighting a Jōnin, but you possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan.

With Kamui, you could've ended the fight before your opponent even reacted.

But instead of fighting back, you did nothing. You allowed yourself to be captured.

You were taken to Root's secret experimental base.

But here's the twist, you had already swapped bodies with your clone. The "you" they caught was just a True Clone.

You used the clone's Mangekyō Sharingan to deceive the examiners into believing you were a "worthless Uchiha" who couldn't even awaken your Sharingan.

Deemed a failure, unworthy even as a test subject, the clone was promptly "disposed of."

In doing so, you effectively erased your identity from the public eye.

"Damn, that's brilliant."

Even Su Yang was impressed.

That decoy strategy using True Clone was masterfully executed.

A perfect molting escape, shedding the shell while keeping the core intact.

Root was completely fooled.

Thanks to the clone's realistic appearance and coordination with the Mangekyō, they never even suspected the truth.

Su Yang's real body had escaped completely unnoticed.

"Now what happens next…?"

Eager, he scrolled down to read what his simulated self would do with this new freedom.
