But Su Yang also understood, this alone wasn't enough. A single or even double tomoe Sharingan wouldn't make Hiruzen risk everything for him. Not enough to shield him from the Uchiha Massacre.
So, what would the simulated him do next?
Su Yang was eager to find out.
[After graduation, Hiruzen assigned a jōnin from the Sarutobi clan to mentor you. Your teammates were also genin from the same clan.]
[This arrangement sparked discontent within the Uchiha clan. But as an orphan with no remaining family, the others could do little but complain.]
[One month later, news of your Sharingan awakening spread throughout the clan. The Uchiha were elated, even Clan Head Fugaku came to see you personally.]
[You knew this was a test arranged by Hiruzen Sarutobi.]
[You refused Fugaku's invitation, causing a stir in the clan. Some even openly called you a traitor.]
[From that day on, you were shunned by many of your clansmen.]
[One night, you were ambushed by another Uchiha, a seasoned chūnin who hadn't awakened his Sharingan and, driven by jealousy, tried to kill you.]
[Forced to fight back, you tried to flee but were cornered. It became clear that there were multiple attackers.]
[You snapped, activating your two-tomoe Sharingan, you defeated the chūnin, but spared his life.]
[As expected, the Third Hokage showed up right after.]
"Wow. Real convenient timing, huh?"
Su Yang couldn't help but scoff.
That sly old fox, Hiruzen. He always showed up at the most "perfect" moments.
"Don't tell me… he arranged the attack too?"
Su Yang couldn't help but suspect it.
[After that incident, the Third Hokage personally moved you out of the Uchiha compound. Your ties to the clan were officially severed.]
[Your two-tomoe Sharingan once again shocked Hiruzen. Danzo even showed up immediately, attempting to take you away.]
Of course.
That damn Danzo again. Does he ever miss a chance?
Su Yang was starting to worry, but the next lines of the simulation gave him a bit of relief.
[The Third rejected Danzo's request. Furious, Danzo and Hiruzen exchanged tense words in front of you, playing out one of their classic political duels.]
[Hiruzen insisted you were still too young, and took you under his personal supervision.]
[The days that followed became a subtle mix of mentorship and indoctrination.]
[At age seven, your strength didn't increase much. But your constant chakra refinement pushed your reserves far beyond that of most chūnin.]
[Now, you are eight.]
[You knew the Uchiha Massacre would happen this year. But you remained by Hiruzen's side.]
[One day, your Sarutobi mentor came to you, saying Hiruzen had assigned your team a long-term mission.]
[Relieved, you learned your task was to guard a feudal lord in a small country for three months.]
Su Yang exhaled.
"So, joining the Hokage's camp does help avoid the Uchiha massacre."
But he also understood, if not for his impressive talents and young, impressionable age, the Third wouldn't have protected him so closely.
[The first month passed peacefully.]
[But in the second month, your team was ambushed. Among the attackers were two jōnin. You took on one of them but couldn't match his experience.]
[In a desperate moment, your Sharingan evolved again. Despite awakening the three-tomoe Sharingan and defeating your opponent, you were gravely wounded.]
[When you woke up, only the Sarutobi jōnin had survived, and he was in even worse shape than you.]
[You killed him. Then you set the place ablaze, destroying everything, including the feudal lord.]
[You went on the run.]
Wait, what?
Su Yang was stunned.
"What the hell was I thinking? Did I really believe one fire could erase all evidence?"
It made no sense, but he had a bad feeling about what came next.
And he was right.
[A month into your escape, you had healed, but faced your first assassination attempt.]
[ANBU from the Leaf came after you. But by now, you had mastered your three-tomoe Sharingan and slaughtered them all.]
[Over the next year, more than ten assassination attempts followed, each increasingly dangerous. Even elite jōnin came after you.]
[But under this constant pressure, your strength skyrocketed. You reached elite jōnin level even without using your Sharingan.]
[Then, on your tenth birthday, you faced your most terrifying enemy yet, Uchiha Itachi.]
"Damn it!"
Su Yang cursed aloud.
He'd thought he might finally break the cycle and survive, but now he was facing Itachi?!
And Itachi definitely wasn't coming for a friendly chat.
[You clashed with Uchiha Itachi, but you were no match.]
[Under the grip of his Tsukuyomi, your heart was pierced.]
[But in the instant your heart was run through, your Mangekyō Sharingan awakened, even Itachi was momentarily stunned.]
