Chapter 42 - Jade Phoenix Pavillion

It has been about a month since Qin Rouxi started cultivating under the guidance of Ren Wei.

Today, like usual, Qin Rouxi was still doing that.

And also, like any other day, Qin Yue was also there, under the pretense that she was there to supervise the progress.

Ren Wei tried to get her leave the manor many times, but she still insisted on staying that it was Qin Moyan's order.

After some persuasion, Ren Wei stopped himself. He knew it was not going to work at all.

So, he made another plan. Leave the manor as soon as he finished teaching Qin Rouxi. And if she has any doubts, it would be for tomorrow's session.

And everytime he disappeared after the lesson, Qin Yue would be in full angry mode.

She even started doubting her own beauty. And even started wondering how beautiful was Ren Wei's wife.

Today was not so different.

After teaching Qin Rouxi a new combat skill, Ren Wei tried to leave.

However, this time, before he could do that, Qin Yue stopped him. "Sir Wei, please wait for a moment."

"Ohh. What is it?" Ren Wei asked as he turned around to face her.

"Haha, it's nothing. It just that there is an auction happening in the city, so I was thinking of inviting sir Wei. I don't know if you want to go there. Lol just for experience?" She laughed lightly and said.

"Auction?" Ren Wei showed a surprised expression. Ever since he came to this world, he had never seen or experienced what is it like to be in an live auction. Maybe he should try it?

However, when he thought of going there with Qin Yue, he immediately shook his head.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I have things to do." Ren Wei quickly waved his hand, rejecting the invite.

Before, Qin Yue could stop him, he hurriedly disappeared from the spot like he was running away.

"Humph." Qin Yue stomped her foot on the ground shaking the whole manor, in anger.

"Humph, why would I need you to come with me. I will go alone." She turned around and left without even saying goodbye to her niece.

Qin Rouxi was used to that. She didn't look at her aunt leaving and instead focused on her practice.

'Uh... why is this skill so difficult to understand?' She thought as she continued focusing on her new skill.

-----

After leaving the manor, Ren Wei wandered around the city disguising himself as an old man.

His fish pot became a wine gourd, the fishing rod into a walking cane, his round bamboo hat into a headband. And finally, his fine clothes into that of a old plain one.

He wandered around the city asking for directions. And coupled with his powerful sense that can cover the entire city, he quickly arrived at the entrance of Jade Phoenix Pavillion, the auction house that was hosting the auction.

Surprisingly, he heard from the people that it was the most popular auction house, not just in the capital but also in the entire Red Lion Kingdom with many branches across all major cities.

Standing at the entrance, he looked around. Seeing only a few people, he thought to himself. 'Maybe the auction has already started.'

And the reason why he came there without an invitation was because he knew strength was the greatest feed. With his Divine Domain Realm powerful, there was no more than 2 people who could stop him.

However, he still didn't try to forcefully break in as he was still a man of manner.

Adjusting his posture, he strode towards the entrance of the auction house.

Seeing his beggar like dress, the two guards stopped him at the door. Both at the Innate Qi Realm. "Stop, this is no place for beggars."

Though they sounded harsh, they were actually looking out for him.

To show that he was there for business, Ren Wei smiled and said. "Haha, I am here to auction something. Call your manager."

The two guards looked at eachother and hesitated for a moment. They didn't know if what henwas saying was true or not. It was fine if he was speaking the truth. But if he was playing with them, not only would they be scolded by their boss, they may even lose their jobs.

As they were contemplating whether to inform their manager or not, a middle-aged man, dressed in clean and expensive robe, came downstairs.

Seeing the man, both guards widened their eyes in shocked. That man was no ordinary man. It was the owner of their famous auction house, the mysterious leader of the Jade Phoenix Pavillion.

As rhey were too focused on him, they even forgot to salute.

Smiling, the owner said to Ren Wei. "Sir, please. I will arrange your seat."

"Haha, that is much better." Ren Wei laughed like an old man satisfied for getting what he wants.

The two left the entrance room and went back to upstairs.

Inside one of the most luxurious and private room, a VIP room. Both of them sat side by side and watched the scene of the auction unfolding.

The mysterious owner started the conversation. "Sir Wei doesn't mind telling me something?"

It was no surprise that a Divine Domain Realm expert knew Ren Wei's name. When he arrived in the capital, he made no effort to conceal his presence—otherwise, his whereabouts would have remained a complete mystery.

"Say it." Ren Wei responded as he slowly took off his disguise. Even so, his face was still concealed by the mysterious layer of fog from his hat.

"I was just wondering why you came here. Don't misunderstand what I said. I was just curious about it. And you should know why I am sking about it." The mysterious owner said.

Ren Wei knew the reason why he was asking. It was simply because he was concerned.

Whenever a top powerhouse moves, he carries uncertainty. Like for example, chaos.

"Sir?" Ren Wei asked how should he address him.

"Please just call me Yan." The mysterious owner swiftly said.

"OK, Mr. Yan. You don't need to so concern about it. I bring no harm on my way. You can check. And i think you know the rest of of story." Ren Wei explained.

"Humm. The teacher of the 3rd princess." The mysterious owner said as he looked at Ren Wei carefully. "But why would someone like you do that for just meager rewards?"

"Haha, I think Mr. Yan should stop there." Ren Wei laughed and warned him. It wasn't that his demands were secrets or anything valuable. Ren Wei just didn't like some people digging things in his property.

"Haha, sorry. Forgive me for my rudeness." The owner also laughed lightly and apologized. He knew he was crossing the line a bit.

"Please." The two then focused back to the auction.

However, Ren Wei mind was not entirely on the auction. His eyes were scanning everything. From, top to bottom. Left to right.

And finally, his eyes focused on the mysterious owner.

[Race: Human.

Name: Yan Hao.

Realm: Divine Domain Realm Level 3 (peak).

Identity: Owner of Jade Phoenix Pavillion, Member of Yan Clan.

Treasure Bone: Low Grade 5.

Physique: Spirit Flame Body ( Low Rank).

Bloodline: Sky Fire Bloodline (High Rank).]

It was Ren Wei's first time seeing someone with bloodline. To avoid get caught, he swiftly withdrew his gaze.

In the meantime, Yan Hao felt a slight chill for no reason.

He turned around to see if anything was causing it. As a Divine Domain Realm expert, he was immune to mortal feeling and diseases. So it was surprising that he felt chill.

Finding nothing, he went back to war hing the auction. Before that, he slightly stopped his gaze on Ren Wei. But he eventually shook his head, saying to himself. 'Tch. I must be crazy thinking someone fro, Grade 7 place can threaten me. And same level at that.'

Until the auction ended, the two focused on watching it. From time to time, they would comment on the value of the auctioned items.

Both would sometimes agree on a thing. And the other times, they would give their own opinions.

After the auction ended and all the guests had left, Ren Wei was still in the private room with Yan Hao.

"I believe Sir Wei has something to say?" Yan Hao said, looking at Ren Wei who was still showing no sign of leaving.

"I want to know if you sell information too." Ren Wei responded.

"Information?" Yan Hao smile faded little by little upon hearing that. "Sir Wei, please don't accuse me of that. You know it's illegal to do that."

"Mr. Yan don't need to lie to me. You and I both know the truth. And I am not trying to expose you or anything. I am asking to buy it, for myself." Ren Wei explained like he was in no hurry.

Yan Hao looked at Ren Wei carefully, trying to determine whether he was speaking the truth or not. The two stayed like that for about 10 minutes.

Then, Yan Hao suddenly smiled and said. "I wonder what kind of information that my friend is looking."

Hearing that, Ren Wei smiled underneath the shrouded layer.
