Chapter 106 - Chapter 106

The terrifying cold instantly engulfed Oli entirely.

This was a technique Monet had developed by drastically lowering temperatures within a fixed range.

Anyone within this range would be frozen by the extreme chill.

This move was one Aokiji had specifically taught Monet during her time at Marine Headquarters.

White Ripple was purely an ability to manipulate temperature—it had nothing to do with snow or ice.

Oli's attack was instantly frozen in place by Monet's frigid temperature.

As his body temperature plummeted, his blood vessels constricted, leading to insufficient blood supply.

His heart's weakened under such extreme cold, manifesting symptoms like hypotension.

The debilitating effects of the cold made Oli's already unhealed body grow even weaker.

His limbs began turning red and purple as sensation slowly faded, his entire body trembling uncontrollably.

Seeing this, Monet didn't let her guard down.

Instead, she accelerated the snowfall around them.

Within seconds, the snow had accumulated to half a meter deep on the ground.

"Snow Tomb!"

As the ground became blanketed in snow, walls formed from densely packed snowflakes began rising around Oli, encasing him in freezing cold.

Watching the walls grow taller around him, Oli knew that once they fully enclosed him, death would be inevitable.

But his body was so numbed by the cold that movement was nearly impossible.

In desperation, he chose the riskiest option.

Retracting all the spikes covering his back, Oli extended his frostbitten, purple fingers.

Countless spikes gathered at his fingertips as he uttered a shaky command.

"Finger Spikes: Rapid Fire!"

Dozens of spikes, each about twenty centimeters long, shot from his fingers like a storm.

The newly formed snow walls were instantly riddled with holes, their structural integrity collapsing as they shattered into pieces.

Though Monet tried to repair the walls, the sharp spikes—coated in Armament Haki—proved to be too troublesome.

One pierced her arm, splattering blood across the snow.

Her expression darkened as Oli finally broke free from her icy grip.

But his nearly frozen limbs were now bleeding profusely—his condition was dire.

Still, glancing at the massive, eight-meter-tall eagle nearby, Oli managed a faint smile.

"I don't need to defeat you. I just have to stall you here.

The doctor won't last much longer—you know that better than I do."

Monet shook her head firmly.

"Jake will win. He's never lost before—not in the past, not now and not in the future."

"Seems we both have someone we're determined to follow," Oli replied.

With that, freezing cold clashed against sharp spikes once more!

Within the cocoon of wings, Jake was covered in wounds.

Even with the foresight granted by Observation Haki, the relentless barrage of attacks had inflicted significant damage on him.

Feathers imbued with Armament Haki pierced his muscles, lodging into his bones, sending waves of agony that threatened to knock him unconscious.

He managed to dodge the slashes from the two swords, but his abdomen bore a gaping, bloody hole—a wound inflicted by Boars' beak.

The attack had originally been aimed at his heart, but Jake had forcibly altered its trajectory at the last moment.

Seeing Jake grievously injured, Boars spread his wings, releasing a chilling aura.

The thick scent of blood filled the air and Monet instinctively glanced back.

The sight of the massive wound in Jake's abdomen caused her pupils to dilate slightly.

Before Monet could speak, Jake shouted at her.

"Don't worry, Monet! I'm fine! Focus—take down that damn Pirate in front of you!"

Though still uneasy, Monet forced herself to push aside her concern for Jake and concentrated entirely on eliminating Oli as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Boars let out a sinister chuckle before launching another assault on Jake.

But the moment he activated his ability, an inexplicable weakness surged through his body.

His arms grew unbearably heavy and limp—so much so that he could barely stand, let alone attack.

"You damn brat! What did you do to me?!" Boars roared.

A faint golden glow emanated from Jake's body and under its radiance, the gaping wound in his abdomen began healing at a visible rate.

With a smirk, he pulled out an empty syringe from his coat, traces of blood at the corner of his lips.

"Nothing much. Just returned your body to its previous state. I have no intention of healing a Pirate after all, Did transforming to an animal form drag your intellect down to that level too? Didn't it occur to you why I let your beak hit me?"

Jake's words stunned Boars.

Then he remembered—when he tore through Jake's abdomen, he had felt a slight sting in his wings.

Was it then?!

Damn it!

Black-red blood spilled from his beak as enormous white patches bloomed across his massive black eagle form.

Glaring at Jake with pure hatred, he growled.

"This isn't my original illness... What did you inject me with?"

A razor-thin Lightsaber materialized in Jake's hand as he grinned at Boars.

"I'll tell you all about it... at your grave."

"You filthy Marine brat! Before I die, I'll crush everything you hold dear—starting with that woman!"

The massive eagle flapped its wings, charging straight toward Monet's direction.

But another dazzling golden light in the sky moved far faster than it.

As sparks scattered high in the air, the wound on Jake's abdomen had mostly healed.

He looked at Boars and chuckled lightly.

"Don't rush. We still have plenty of time. Before you die, you'll witness the fall of the Black Hawk Pirates with your own eyes!"

"Light of Sanctity!"

A surge of dense, holy energy erupted from Jake's hands, crashing directly onto Boars body.
