Chapter 57: Arrival of Eunuch Dai (Part 1)

"Uh..." The originally noisy Soul Arena suddenly fell into utter silence. All eyes were fixed on Arena No. 7. Even the combatants in the neighboring arenas were distracted by the crowd's reaction and paused their battles to look over.

Nearly everyone's jaws dropped in shock, and their eyes practically exploded with disbelief.

After a stunned silence, uproarious laughter erupted. "Hahahahahaha!"

Among the Shrek group, Ning Rongrong laughed the hardest. As a seasoned queen of dirty jokes, she had none of Zhu Zhuqing's bashfulness. She repeatedly slapped Oscar's shoulder, laughing until tears streamed from her eyes. "—Hahaha—Oscar, look, look! Dai Mubai got—hahahahaha—that masked guy, where did this living treasure come from—hahahaha—"

Oscar twitched at the corners of his mouth. While silently mourning for Dai Mubai, he also couldn't help but be pounded by Ning Rongrong's palm—painful, yet oddly delightful.

Ma Hongjun instinctively clenched his buttocks and followed Dai Mubai's example, covering his rear defensively.

Zhu Zhuqing supported her forehead, clearly exasperated, but the curve of her lips gave away that she wasn't truly upset.

As for Tang San, he immediately reached out and covered his girlfriend Meng Yiran's eyes. His lips twitched, and he grew even more wary of Zu Zong. "He's still the same unruly brat he was as a kid—always playing dirty."

Watching Dai Mubai curled on the ground with both hands clutching his rear, Zu Zong had to admit the power of the "Thousand-Year Kill." It could actually incapacitate a Soul Elder in a single strike.

Zu Zong didn't take advantage of the situation and instead said flatly, "Hey hey, Evil-Eyed Little Tiger, are you still able to fight? If not, the referee's gonna declare me the winner."

As he spoke, Zu Zong turned his gaze toward the referee.

Feeling Zu Zong's eyes on him, the tuxedo-clad middle-aged referee suddenly tensed, subconsciously placing a hand over his own rear and awkwardly declared, "Ahem, contestant Evil-Eyed White Tiger, if you're still unable to stand, I will now announce contestant Uchiha Zong as the victor."

Still wallowing in a mixture of pain and shame, Dai Mubai groaned inwardly. Today was the day his dignity was utterly destroyed. But to concede now would be even more humiliating; if he could get up and defeat his opponent, he could reclaim at least some pride.

Furrowing his brows, Dai Mubai gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand.

"You brat, all you know are these dirty tricks. Dare to duel me properly?" Dai Mubai snarled through clenched teeth.

Zu Zong let out a chuckle and replied calmly, "If that's what you want, then don't regret it later."

Dai Mubai had never been a patient man, but he had an incredibly strong desire to win. While he had implied that Zu Zong should use his martial soul, he himself couldn't hold back, driven by both humiliation and pride.

A blinding white light burst out. Dai Mubai's evil eyes turned pure white. Of the three spirit rings around him, the first one suddenly glowed brightly, forming a white protective shield.

Immediately after, his second spirit ring lit up. A surge of white light condensed in an instant. With a mighty roar, Dai Mubai spat out a milky-white light orb.

His first two soul skills—White Tiger Body Barrier and White Tiger Fierce Light Wave—were now unleashed simultaneously, displaying terrifying power.

Zu Zong murmured softly, "A white barrier that enhances his defenses—White Tiger Body Barrier—and a long-range attack from his mouth—White Tiger Fierce Light Wave. Balanced offense and defense. Quite an interesting technique. But—"

Zu Zong slowly raised his right hand.

"Blue Silver Emperor—release."

In the next instant, deep blue light surged. A cluster of deep blue Blue Silver Emperor vines abruptly sprouted from his palm. Each leaf was as thick as a child's arm, covered in strange markings.

Rather than calling them leaves, it was more accurate to say they were vines. The leaves weren't flat anymore either—they had become blade-shaped, gleaming coldly with a visible sharpness.

This time, Zu Zong wasn't going to use the basic form of the Blue Silver Emperor like he did against Dugu Yan. He activated the second spirit ring's enhancement—razor-sharp form. For a showy little tiger like Dai Mubai, who relied on his looks, a proper lesson was due.

Milky white energy surged from Zu Zong's body. The Blue Silver Emperor vines expanded rapidly, thickening to the width of a bowl in the blink of an eye. Glowing with faint light, the strange patterns on them made them seem alive, coiling around Zu Zong like dozens of giant serpents.

Two yellow and one purple spirit ring rose from beneath his feet, spinning around his body.

At that same moment, Zu Zong activated the Nine Yang Divine Art, guiding his soul power into the Blue Silver Emperor vines. The vines shot straight toward the oncoming White Tiger Fierce Light Wave.

Infused with Nine Yang Divine power, the vines carried immense speed and force. What's more, Zu Zong's soul power exceeded Dai Mubai's. After a brief clash, the Fierce Light Wave was broken apart. Before Dai Mubai could react, the bladed Blue Silver Emperor vines spiraled toward him.

Without suspense, the reinforced Blue Silver Emperor leaves pierced Dai Mubai's White Tiger Body Barrier. The blades dug into his flesh, a full half-inch deep.

His white battle uniform was already soaked with blood. He stood panting, his body covered in wounds. And that was with Zu Zong deliberately avoiding vital points.

Zu Zong said blandly, "Little tiger, are you going to admit defeat?"

Up in the spectator stands, the Shrek group was stunned by Dai Mubai's miserable state. Even Ning Rongrong, who usually clashed with him, couldn't help but worry.

Meng Yiran turned to Tang San and asked, "Xiao San… is that still Blue Silver Grass? Even yours—"

She cut herself off, realizing what she'd said.

Tang San took her hand and gently replied, "You don't have to comfort me. That man really is stronger than me right now."

There was something he didn't say: without using hidden weapons or his second martial soul, yes—he was behind. But if he went all out, he was confident no one in the younger generation could defeat him.

"Do you think Dai Mubai is already..." Meng Yiran asked in concern. Though she didn't like him, he was still a fellow student.

Tang San shook his head. He had his Purple Demon Eye active the whole time and could see clearly that Zu Zong had held back. Dai Mubai only suffered flesh wounds. A few of Oscar's healing sausages would have him fully recovered in no time.

"Boss Dai, just admit defeat! Stop fighting already—!"

Oscar and Ma Hongjun shouted loudly. This masked guy was terrifying. Was he really just a Soul Elder? They'd believe it if someone told them he was a Soul Ancestor or even a Soul King.
