Chapter 269: Filling the Water Tank
A place in the forest, the sun shone down.
Creating a scorching hot atmosphere.
Water from the sky surged down like a huge building, crashing into the ground.
When it hit the ground, it created a massive amount of water.
The place where magical items were being snatched was transformed into a resting pool for demonic beasts.
A man, standing beneath the plunging water, looked up in despair.
A large black shadow and falling wood shavings blocked the escape route of the cultivators below.
A man smiled, as if he knew he was certain to die.
His face showed despair of escaping this situation.
The soft words were spoken: "Death."
A piece of wood smashed into A man. Boom!
A large stream of water crashed into A man. His body was splintered by the wood and bones of the demon. Swallowed with their own bodies, Boom!
The sound of water crashing into the ground like a waterfall of blood, with demonic bodies following its path.
Each warrior could only resist a little, crushed by the immense water pressure, combined with the sharp objects piercing their bodies.
Cries of pain and death rang out.
But no matter how hard they cried for help,
death was still inevitable. Boom!
The sound of the waterfall, with blood staining the water.
From a light brown, it turned red.
People were killed by the waves. Some might have survived the first impact.
But the second time, they couldn't dodge. The demonic bone pierced their faces. Smack!
Man B was pierced in the face by the demonic bone.
And he died.
Man C, the other survivor, prepared to flee, but was pushed back by the water, sending him crashing to the ground. Boom!
The immense force of the water sent Man C hurtling toward the ground.
A cry of sorrow filled the water. "Help!"
Slurp!
A splinter of wood pierced the man's body, killing him.
Human flesh floated about, fresh as if it had just been cut.
The dark red blood, tinged with the brown water, faded to a pale red.
Many people were scattered about, stunned by the events.
The sound of the water drowned out the cries for help. Boom!
Time passed, and the water continued to fall to the ground.
Seraph stood still, watching the flowing water, the splinters of wood, and the red blood.
Seraph stared calmly, unmoved.
"The direction of the water has changed. Don't tell me we've arrived at our destination. I'd like to think so, but it doesn't seem like it."
Seraph's gaze caught sight of a man's severed head floating past Seraph.
The entrails beneath the man's neck were clearly visible. Both eyes were wide open, staring at Seraph's face, floating downstream.
Seraph showed no sign of fear. "That's terrifying! How did you survive?"
Seraph was concentrating on his surroundings when he happened to see a clear golden chalice flying towards him.
The golden chalice was flying towards Seraph, driven by the force of water pressure.
But no, the chalice was still. Despite the powerful force of the water, this magical object showed no signs of moving.
The golden chalice collided with Seraph's bubble. Whoosh!
It wasn't the chalice that was colliding, but Seraph's bubble that was colliding with the chalice. Whoosh! Boom!
Seraph ignored the chalice and was about to turn away.
[My bubbles won't burst easily, so don't expect them to?]
Seraph hadn't finished thinking when the bubbles burst with a loud pop.
The bubbles were like sponges, transparent circles, giving the feeling of holding a sponge.
This thing burst!
Seraph sighed, "Whew..." Boom!
The empty water rushed into Seraph's body. Boom!
Seraph quickly thought, "I'm going to drown!"
Because this place was like a large pond,
it looked like a circular bucket of water.
The water inside was empty. When the bucket was filled, the extremely violent water
became still. As the bucket was filled, the water became still.
Therefore, as soon as Seraph's soap bubble, the one protecting Seraph,
burst, the violent water stopped.
So Seraph could see people's heads floating up.
Seraph, when the bubbles burst Swim up quickly.
The golden Seraph's clothes helped him swim up.
This created a high speed as he swam up into the sky. Whoosh!
The sound of him trying to breathe on the surface.
The Seraph struggled hard, and soon he was swimming up.
The Seraph's head emerged from the surface.
When the Seraph emerged, he heard a gasp coming from his mouth and a wide open gasp for air.
The sound of water splashing out of his mouth, accompanied by a slight choking sound.
"Hiss... Hiss... Breath... Breath... Breath... Breath...
The Seraph tried to regain his composure. His breathing was extremely forceful.
"A record for respiration is worth recording...
I wanted to say that. Finally, the journey through the water, with the most amazing bubble machine, was over. Whew... "
The Seraph sighed in relief.
The sun shone down on the sky, creating a cool breeze, and the surface of the water was scorching hot.
A piece of wood that people could cling to to reach the edge of the pool.
Seraph saw a branch and reached out to grab onto it, making it easier for him to swim to shore.
Seraph heard something rising from behind him.
Thud!
When Seraph's gaze shifted to his back,
a clear golden goblet was floating on the surface of the water.
Seraph looked at the goblet, deeply interested.
"It looks expensive, doesn't it?"
Curious, Seraph reached out to examine the goblet.
Seraph immediately felt a strange sensation upon touching the goblet.
It felt like something was twitching.
"Am I imagining it? Never mind. I'll just throw it away. Something suspicious like this.
The story would probably say:
This item came from a great family, so
I must become involved in a life-and-death situation and use this to save my family. Something like that.
Or maybe it was, "Give me that thing. I want this."
If you don't want to die, deliver it.
And the fight began. And then, brah, brah, brah, brah!"
Seraph grabbed the Grail tightly and threw it into the air. A great distance away. Whoosh! Thud!
The Grail struck a human head, rising from the surface.
The golden Grail struck a human head.
Seraph was slightly startled and immediately turned and swam away. "Go ahead. Why stay and watch the chaos unfold?"
Seraph stopped immediately. In front of him, there were many human heads floating from the water.
And human legs were rising from the surface.
And bright red eyes were floating on the surface.
A human body was floating on the surface.
Demon heads and bodies were floating on the surface.
Shards of wood and other light objects could float up.
Human bodies floated up one by one, their numbers steadily increasing.
The brown pool was now dyed blood red around where Seraph had floated.
Most of the red blood from humans was on the surface.
Looking from above, he saw a blond-haired boy floating amidst the deaths of others.
Seraph paused, slightly frightened. "Whoa...? Where is this place?
Pools of blood everywhere, and the people looked like they'd died recently.
We have to get out of here."
Seraph swam away to the edge of the pool.
The little Seraph tore through the pool of blood and the red water, searching for a way out of this place.
Seraph had no intention of swimming.
Human body fragments floated onto Seraph's clothes.
Seraph didn't have time to care, so he just swam forward.
