Chapter 135 - Chapter 133  – The One Who Woke the Rift

The silence was not peaceful. It was thick—soaked in ash, fragments of sound, half-broken data streams flickering across HUD interfaces, and the distant, muted cries of relief or panic.

And then… breath.A slow, shuddering breath that broke the stillness like thunder.

Iden opened his eyes.

It wasn't the Vault, nor the battlefield. He was in his command chamber, buried deep beneath Sanctum's central pillar. The air around him shimmered faintly with residual mana—a cocoon forged by Rael herself. The moment he stirred, the soft golden glow collapsed inward, disappearing into her hand.

"You're awake," Rael whispered. Her voice cracked. "It worked."

Iden's throat was dry, but he nodded. His mind reeled—processing the sheer overload of what had occurred. Crownfall and Fallout. Z'RHAKUL. The light. The annihilation. The sound of over a billion summons crying out in perfect synchrony.

"How long?" he asked.

"Ten days," Rael replied, brushing away a strand of white-blonde hair matted to her cheek. "You slept through them all. The system said your soul was recalibrating from the surge."

Kael's voice followed from the doorway. "You gained ten levels from that explosion. It wasn't just killing Z'RHAKUL—it was the world itself reacting to your authority."

"Level 80," Iden muttered.

He sat up, and the system notifications immediately flooded in.

Iden leaned forward as Rael helped steady him. "Status of the world?"

"Broken," Kael said simply. "But breathing."

"Three continents lost almost 20% of their mana fields. The riftstorms you contained are still unstable but... holding."

Nyra entered behind Kael, her coat scorched and eyes heavy with exhaustion.

"You should see what you left behind. Z'RHAKUL didn't just die—his essence detonated through the Veil. Half the sky is scarred."

"Any retaliation?"

"None. But… that might change," Nyra said grimly. "Because something came through the Tear."

Iden blinked.

Rael stiffened.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"It arrived two hours ago. Appeared in orbit, then landed just outside Sanctum. It waited. Never crossed the boundary. It didn't need to. Because the moment it arrived—" Nyra turned to the side.

A deep system chime echoed in Iden's ear.

A projection formed behind Nyra.

It was humanoid in shape but faceless—cloaked in shimmering robes, fragmented in appearance like shattered crystal barely held together.

It knelt silently outside Sanctum's radius, unmoving. Waiting.

"That thing… it's not Abyssal," Rael said quietly. "It's older."

Kael added, "It knows about Earth. About the first Tear. The one that started all of this."

Iden stood slowly, brushing away the echoing chimes of his new level. A strange pressure radiated outward from the projection. Not mana. Not time. It was like standing in front of a mirror that could reflect reality itself—and then warp it.

"Is it hostile?" he asked.

"It doesn't feel hostile," Nyra admitted. "But it's not human. Not divine. It feels like it remembers Earth."

The hologram pulsed once.

Then the message appeared.

"Will the Broken Flame finally return what was stolen?"

Iden stared at the words, and the glow behind them.

He didn't understand them yet.

But he would.

Because whatever that thing was, it knew the true reason why Earth shattered. Why he was chosen. Why the systems, the fragments, the crowns, and the veils all led to this moment.

This wasn't just the end of one world.

It was the convergence of them all.

And somewhere, beyond the Rift, the original source of the fracture was awakening.
