She hit her hard on the tree her eyes glowing yellow.
"What do you want from us?" Layla asked.
"I just want to meet one of you guys, you don't have to be so fierce about it" Ava said and Layla tightened her hold.
Ava rolled her eyes before throwing Layla off. She stood and adjusted her clothes before folding her arms.
"Why do you guys even hate each other?" Ava asked.
Layla walked to her with a deep frown on her face.
"Your clan started all this."
"Explain" Ava said going to sit on the rock crossing her legs.
Layla stared at her for a while before speaking.
"We were all living together years ago but after that particular werewolf died, your father took over. He threw us out of the clan saying we don't look like werewolves. He called us outcasts and banned us from coming to the clan. Just because we're black in colour, he said we aren't werewolves" Layla said and Ava's eyes widened.
"But we have coloured werewolves in the clan. We have white, brown..."
"But no black because we aren't werewolves!!" Layla snapped.
"Why didn't you guys fight back?"
"We tried and we lost our leader. We didn't want to loose anymore werewolf so we left and never came back. It baffles me why you want to find a black werewolf" Layla said.
"According to the stupid name given to me..."Thé Fàted Lunã" Ava mimicked with an eye roll.
"You're our queen" Layla muttered.
"I know and I'm supposed to bring peace between the entire creatures but it's so impossible" Ava said.
"But you seem nice, I like you" Ava added and Layla scoffed.
"I'm not your friend. It's forbidden for me to befriend your kind. I don't want to end up getting killed" Layla said and started going.
Ava rushed to her front.
"It's also forbidden for me to befriend your kind but...fuck the rules. Rules are meant to be broken yunno. I wanna have fun and I wanna make friends, a war that concerns only the adults shouldn't be our business, should it?" Ava said and asked.
Layla thought for a while before sighing.
"I don't have friends there actually and it'd be nice to be your friend" Layla mumbled and Ava smiled.
"Ava"
"Layla"
They said at the same time and chuckled.
Since that day, they became best of friends. But one day, they had an issue.
"Nothing will happen if we go to the human world, why can't you trust me on this?" Ava asked with a frown..
"I already made the stupid mistake of betraying my clan by being your friend and now you want me to go to the human world?!!" Layla snapped.
Ava's eyes widened same as Layla.
"I didn't...."
"If being my friend was a mistake then I would like for us to end it. Go back to your clan and I'll go back to mine. I don't want to see you ever again" Ava said and sped off.
Layla groaned before leaving as well.

"Having friends is difficult" Ava said.
"I know but give Layla some time, she'd come around" Her mum replied.
She exhaled staring out the window.
Her mum patted her shoulders before leaving the room.
She actually told her mum about having a friend named Layla. Her mum has no idea who Layla was and she doesn't know what happened. Ava only told her that they were having an issue that's all.
3 DAYS LATER ~~
Ava went to a waterfall outside the clan and sat on a rock staring at the flowing water..
"Leave" Ava muttered still staring at the water.
She sensed Layla's presence the moment Layla came.
"I'm sorry" Layla said and Ava stood up before starting to walk away.
Layla rushed to her front stopping her.
"I'm sorry for saying that. I didn't mean it"
"Okay!" She said and tried leaving.
"Ava. Please" Layla pleaded.
"I wasn't insane when i said we should go to the human world. I wanted to get a bracelet for both of us as a best friend gift. I went there before and I saw a girl handing out bracelets for free. When I went to her, she sold the last one to someone and I became sad. She then said she'd get another for me the next day and I was happy because I could at least bring you with me but I guess i was the only one who saw the friendship as something" Ava said and Layla's eyes widened.
"I...I didn't know" She stuttered and Ava scoffed.
"You would have told me" Layla said.
"If you really cared about our friendship, you would have known that, that day was the day we became best friends. It was our one year anniversary as best friends" Ava said and Layla stepped back tears filling her eyes.
"I'm sorry Ava. I'm so sorry" Layla cried.
Ava inhaled and exhaled.
"It's okay" She said and Layla sniffed looking up at her.
"I'm so sorry" She said again and Ava pulled her into a hug.
"I forgive you" Ava said and Layla hugged her back.
After a while, they broke the hug and Layla wiped her tears with the back of her palm.
"I missed you" Layla said.
"Me too" Ava said and they laughed.
2 MONTHS LATER ~~
"You're engaged to a vampire?" Layla asked with a shocked look.
"Yes. I'm so happy cos I love him so much" Ava said happily showing Layla her ring.
"I'm happy for you Ava" Layla said with a smile and Ava smiled as well.
"Thank you. Though my parents aren't in support of our relationship but, ion care. I love him and I want to be with him. Nothing will stop that" Ava said and Layla smiled.
"I'm so glad to hear that but then be careful" Layla said.
"I will" Ava replied with a smile.
3 MONTHS LATER ~~
"No!!" Layla screamed when she heard the news from her clan saying thé fàted lunã was dead.
She ran out of the clan running to the other clan. She got to the mansion and saw Edmond and Eliza crying over Ava.
"Ava!!!" Layla screamed rushing to her.
"No. Please wake up. Ava!!" Layla called shaking her body.
Eliza, Ava's mum was crying profusely and Edmond, Ava's father had to hug her to comfort her.
Layla stared at Ava's chest seeing a hole there. More tears fell from her eyes as she hugged her body to herself.
2 DAYS LATER ~~
The two clans united for the sake of Ava and attacked the vampire's clan killing almost everyone there. Edmond and Eliza killed themselves and Layla looked over at Lucian who was bleeding from the mouth.
He was stabbed with the fang of Ava so he's going to die any moment from now.
"If you reincarnate and still come after Ava, I swear to Ava's ghost, I will kill you" Layla said coldly.
He smirked and a dagger passed through her chest.
She smiled painfully looking back at the werewolf who stabbed her.
"I thought we agreed to work together?!!" A black werewolf yelled and a knife slit off her throat.
"Your clan will pay for betraying us. That I swear to you" Layla said and fell to the ground.
She died.
The black werewolves fought the other clan and they ended up killing themselves.
The vampires who escaped hid out in another city and started rebuilding the clan once more.
BACK TO THE PRESENT ~~
Amy blinked back the tears in her eyes.
She didn't fulfill her promise. She can't fulfill her promise knowing they both love each other so much.
"Ava" She muttered and a tear drop rolled down her eye lids.
She looked back at the book and saw it wasn't on her hands anymore.
She stood up and a wave of wind blew, making her close her eyes. The moment she opened them, she saw she was out of the forest.
She looked at the right side and saw Ava with Gorya.
"Ava" She called and ran to her pulling her into a tight hug.
"Amy" Ava muttered and a tear drop ran down her eyes lids.
Gorya smiled..
