Chapter 43 - Spar and Nen Ability (Oscilation Punch) - Chapter 43

After, Agris left, Arin did not spend much time awake.

He drank some whiskey alone and rested his mind and meditated for some time before sleeping to get rest.

In the next morning, he made a breakfast and then took a shower before leaving the Heavens Arena.

He went to outside, a small pub that he always drank, Agris was waiting for him there to go to location that they are going to spar.

Agris saw Arin and smiled to him and started speaking as he come to his side.

"I suppose you did rest last night ?"

Arin smiled.

"Yeah, I did slept well."

Agris laughed and nodded.

"Great, I do not want you to say that you lost because you were tired."

Arin laughed out loud and shook his head.

"You are too confident in yourself."

"It seems like, you created a great ability."

Agris smiled but said nothing.

The duo then moved, Agris in the front, Arin was the follower.

Arin followed Agris deeper into the woods. Dew clung to the uderbrush, catching the light like tiny stars on green blades.

After thirty minutes of trekking, the two stepped into a wide clearing. .

It was quiet secluded.

Arin looked around with a calm expression. "A great location…"

Agris nodded. "I come here to train sometimes. No one stumbles onto this place unless they know where to look."

He took off his coat and tossed it onto a nearby stump, rolling his shoulders as he faced Arin.

"I'll be using my Nen ability in this fight. But don't worry it's not one that lingers. No lasting damage."

Arin chuckled softly, removing his own light jacket and tossing it aside.

"That's good to hear. I wouldn't want to walk into the Burnous mission with a limp."

Agris grinned.

"You won't. But you might crawl back."

With that, he lowered himself into a stance shoulders loose, weight evenly distributed between his feet.

Arin mirrored him, and the moment was still.

Then, without warning, Agris lunged.

He moved fast, with the explosive momentum of a seasoned fighter.

His right fist led the charge, a blur aimed directly for Arin's temple.

Arin tilted his head to the side, letting it pass, and countered with a sharp elbow to the ribs.

Agris twisted mid-air, barely dodging the blow, and landed behind Arin.

He then struck again this time a flurry of punches followed by a spinning kick.

Arin blocked the first two, absorbed the third with his forearm, and weaved under the kick.

Thirty seconds passed in a dance of blows and counters before Agris finally leapt back, grinning.

"Let's turn it up a notch, shall we?"

He held up his right fist.

It began to shimmer slightly, its color shifting first a faint pink, then a deeper red, until it looked almost like it was glowing from within.

Arin narrowed his eyes, watching closely.

"His right fist," Arin muttered under his breath, "radiating heat…? No, not heat. Something else."

He analyzed the aura and flow.

It didn't match the elemental feel of a Transmuter turning aura into fire or flame.

The sensation was mechanical, more like a subtle trembling in the air around Agris's hand.

"He's an Enhancer," Arin whispered.

"But that's not just raw strength. He's using Nen to induce oscillation vibration at high frequency."

Agris came at him again, and this time when the red-glowing fist collided with Arin's block, the force didn't just push it shattered.

A shockwave rippled through Arin's entire arm, his muscles rattling like a tuning fork hit with a hammer.

The sheer force flung him backward, crashing through a low bush before slamming into the trunk of a tree.

The impact cracked the bark behind him.

A sharp sting radiated down his spine.

Arin coughed and spat blood onto the forest floor.

Still smiling, he stood up and brushed leaves from his pants.

"Heh… that wasn't just power. It felt like my bones wanted to vibrate out of my skin."

He tapped his jaw, still aching from the reverberation.

"So that's the trick. You're using Enhancement to amplify oscillation in your fists. Not a fire-based heat but raw kinetic energy stored as vibration, like coiling a spring. When you strike, the energy unloads all at once. It's not just a punch it's a controlled quake."

Agris cracked his neck and raised the red fist again. "

Takes a few seconds to charge up. But the payoff's worth it, don't you think?"

Arin grinned.

"Definitely."

They clashed again, and this time Arin didn't block.

He stepped into the blow instead, slipping under the vibrating fist and jabbing twice into Agris's ribs before retreating.

Agris stumbled, gasping at the speed of the counterattack.

"Hmm… You're smart," Agris muttered.

"You figured out the delay. So you won't let me get a clean shot again, will you?"

"Nope," Arin replied simply, already dashing forward again.
