People like Kayla normally didn't have many friends, and that was why Yohan's threat was even more effective.
Because although she was jealous of Cassie, she admired her and wanted to be close to her. Without Cassie her life wouldn't have much of a meaning.
"Please don't tell her, I'll do anything you want," she pleaded. "Just don't tell her,"
"What could I possibly need?" Yohan asked with a grin, "Other than for you to continue being yourself,"
He lifted her chin with a finger and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
Kayla was shocked and confused, but she closed her eyes and accepted him.
After that they made their way to the car, where Cassie and Bella were waiting patiently.
"What took you two so long?" Cassie slurred.
"I had to handle the bill," Yohan replied casually.
On the drive home, Kayla couldn't stop staring at him from the backseat. Her finger gently grazed her lips as her mind replayed the kiss.
