Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Something bad seems to have happened...

"The defense is strong."

After an attempt, the Shadow Clone stopped attacking and said, "Compared to that, the Water Gun attack is a bit weak. It's hard to penetrate the Lightning Release Suit's defense."

Of course it can't penetrate.

If it were that easy, the Third Raikage wouldn't have fought ten thousand Iwa-nin for three days and nights until he died from exhaustion.

In recent years, there hasn't been much need for the "Water Gun Technique" to reach the point of penetrating the "Lightning Release Suit" either.

After all, throughout the entire ninja world, very few people even have the "Lightning Release Suit."

Yoncher let out a heavy breath of frustration and dismissed the Shadow Clone.

After fifteen days of training, he could finally channel more Lightning Release chakra outward into the "armor" on his body.

However, at this level of chakra output, it hardly made a dent.

Yoncher was unsatisfied.

Half a month of attempts had produced barely noticeable results.

Although mentally prepared beforehand, Yoncher still felt a little disappointed.

Still, researching the "Lightning Release Suit" brought an unexpected bonus.

Due to the stimulation of the electric current on his cells, his physical strength had improved greatly in just fifteen days—surpassing what normal training over several months could achieve!

No matter what, progress is progress.

Also, starting today, developing both the "Rapid Form" and the "Defense Form" of the Lightning Release Suit should become easier.

Because for these past fifteen days, Yoncher had restrained himself with great effort and hadn't used any Emotional Value points.

Today, he could finally invest all of them into "Chakra Control Level!"

[Emotional Value: 3278]

[Chakra: 3.1 c]

[Ocular Power: 4]

[Chakra Control Level: 13.1]

He had 3278 Emotional Value Points!

It was extremely difficult holding back and not spending them earlier.

It was kind of like saving up small coins every day until it was time to splurge on a feast.

Yoncher deactivated the Lightning Release Suit and poured all 3200 Emotional Value Points into Chakra Control Level.

[Chakra Control Level: 16.3]

Yoncher felt momentarily dazed.

It felt like something new had appeared inside his mind.

But exactly what it was, he couldn't quite say.

This time, directly raising his Chakra Control Level by 3.2 did feel significantly stronger than before.

The feeling was like—

A trail of fragrance and gentle waves.

Nope!

Wait, not that line.

It was like soaring through Fate's Sky—a beautiful dream within reach.

A strange, hard-to-describe feeling swelled in his chest.

"Hahahahaha!"

Yoncher burst out laughing. He extended both hands forward like twin machine guns and sprayed a barrage at a line of huge boulders.

[Water Gun Technique – Barrage!]

A dense barrage of water bullets shot forth, punching numerous holes into the rocks!

Indeed—

His chakra extraction and flow were now lightning-fast and ultra-smooth!

The improvement compared to before was obvious!

Yoncher approached for a closer look. The holes drilled into the boulders were noticeably neater and smoother than those made previously.

Moreover, the cracks around each hole had also decreased significantly!

The Water Gun bullets grew denser, faster, and more piercing.

After using the Water Gun Technique several times, Yoncher gave a slight nod.

Because he didn't know the Hydrification Technique, the speed and power of his Water Gun Technique were significantly reduced compared to Jonin from the Hozuki clan.

But after increasing his Chakra Control Level by 3.2,

the speed and power of this technique had greatly improved and became much smoother and easier to operate.

After thinking for a moment about the Water Gun Technique – Barrage, Yoncher slightly shifted his focus and activated the Lightning Release Suit.

"Crack!"

Lightning surrounded his body, causing his aura to rapidly surge.

Just like the improvement in the Water Gun Technique, the difficulty of controlling Lightning Release chakra had also decreased significantly.

The Lightning Release Suit had become far more stable.

In the future, further developing the Defense Form or Rapid Form should be somewhat easier.

Yoncher shook his head slightly, deactivated the Lightning Release Suit, then lay down on the grass in the shape of a starfish.

He was exhausted.

Practicing the Water Gun Technique - Barrage wasn't particularly tiring.

But the Lightning Release Suit consumed an enormous amount of chakra.

Keeping up a constant surge of Lightning Release chakra was extremely painful.

His body hadn't fully adapted to this state yet, and his physical strength needed improvement.

Training from morning until evening left him quite fatigued.

However, for the sake of Emotional Value, he would still need to go to the Ninja Academy later.

Today was a special day —

the graduation exam at the Ninja Academy was being held today.

But Yoncher had no desire to graduate at all and wanted to keep hiding in the Ninja Academy, so he hadn't gone to school today.

Now it was already dusk.

The graduation exam should be nearing its conclusion.

His eligibility for this year's graduation exam was most likely revoked as well.

Which was exactly what he wanted.

A few minutes later, a notification popped up in Yoncher's mind:

[Obito Uchiha's gloating, Emotional Value +8]

Shinji was truly too kind to him.

Yoncher felt a bit moved.

Staying at home doing nothing, and Obito gave him Emotional Value again.

Probably because Obito found out he couldn't graduate and started gloating?

Suddenly,

another notification appeared.

[Rin Nohara's joy, Emotional Value +7]

What the hell was this notification?

According to everything Yoncher knew about Rin Nohara, she wouldn't be happy about his failure to graduate.

On the contrary, she should feel sad.

Things weren't adding up — there had to be something fishy going on.

Yoncher felt a chill run down his spine — something must've gone terribly wrong.

But what exactly could have happened, he couldn't figure out.

Yoncher sprang to his feet with a quick roll, then bolted back home.

For some reason, he suddenly felt as if the house was empty.

It felt like he had forgotten something.

Oh crap! He suddenly remembered — he had a little brother!

My innocent little brother...

Yesterday afternoon, he had clearly received Emotional Value from Shisui, who was overjoyed.

This indicated that Shisui probably already knew through Anbu channels that Yoncher had safely returned to Konoha.

But for some unknown reason, the kid still hadn't gone home.

After taking a shower, Yoncher took his sweet time getting dressed before heading off to the Ninja Academy.

Judging by the time, the graduation exam should've already ended.

Now was his moment to shine.

Yoncher closed and locked the courtyard gate behind him, casually slipping the key beneath the doormat before walking toward the Ninja Academy.

Once he was far away,

from a nearby alleyway, two figures stepped out.

They were Inabi Uchiha and Tetsuka Uchiha.

Tetsuka Uchiha glanced in the direction Yoncher had gone and sneered, "This idiot actually put his key under the doormat!"

He walked over to Yoncher's doorstep, bent down, and lifted the doormat to retrieve the key.

As soon as he lifted it, both froze.

Right there, underneath that doormat, lay an enormous pile of keys!

"What the—"

Tetsuka's mouth twitched several times. "Which one did he just leave in here?"

"Is this even something a normal person would think to do?"

"That day at the Hokage Building, I already thought there was something off about this kid."

"But I never expected him to be *this* crazy!"

Inabi Uchiha frowned slightly and said, "Well then, let's try figuring it out."

He picked up one key and inserted it into the lock.

"Nope, not this one."

Inabi tossed the key aside.

The two exchanged blank stares for a beat, then both grabbed armfuls of keys and started jamming them into the lock one after another.

This one didn't fit.

Neither did this one.

How about—

With each attempt, Inabi and Tetsuka grew more frustrated.

Their foreheads throbbed with visible veins, sweat beginning to drip.

Their patience was wearing thin fast.

Tetsuka whispered quietly, "Bro, Inabi, do we really need to get inside his house?"

"Of course!" snapped Inabi. "Elder Fukasaku suspects something strange about this kid and ordered us to conduct a thorough investigation."

"If he truly is hiding something, there must be clues inside his home."

"I see," Tetsuka nodded. "Oh right, half a month ago at the Hokage Building, this brat mocked Elder Hattai so badly that Elder Hattai got driven out by Elder Fukasaku. He was furious."

"Should we teach him a beating to avenge Elder Hattai?"

Inabi instinctively raised his head and touched his chest.

Even now, after half a month, he could still feel a dull pain there.

Recalling the humiliation from that day, fire surged in Inabi's eyes.

He scoffed coldly, "Absolutely. We have to knock some sense into him so he finally respects what real chunin can do."

"This punk thinks he's some kind of big shot just because he's got a little talent. As seniors, we must show him how real ninjas live."

Tetsuka nodded repeatedly, "That kid probably won't even graduate this year—he's not cut out for being a genin. Don't worry, Inabi, leave him to me! You don't have to lift a finger for this."

"Once we finish searching his house, let's wait for him right here. Then I'll personally teach him a lesson he won't forget!"

"Let's find the key first," Inabi Uchiha said gloomily.

They tried for quite some time.

But still couldn't find the right key.

Suddenly,

Inabi Uchiha looked up and saw the courtyard wall.

At this moment, he suddenly felt incredibly drained.

Where the hell am I?

What was I just doing?

Why the hell am I partnered with Tetsuka—this idiot?

If it weren't for this fool misleading me into trying these locks, would I have wasted half the day like this?

Just as Inabi Uchiha wore an expression of complete despair,

Tetsuka Uchiha said: "Bro, you go rest over there for a bit. I'll keep trying."

"Try hell! Just stop already!" Grinding his teeth, Inabi pointed at the courtyard wall.

Tetsuka glanced at the wall, then back at the keys in his hand, something heavy in his chest.

Then clearing his throat, he said: "Bro, let me jump inside and check it out first."

Before Inabi could respond, Tetsuka leapt toward the courtyard.

"Thud!"

Above the courtyard wall, an invisible air barrier suddenly appeared.

Tetsuka stuck to the barrier like he was practicing Toad Kung Fu, sliding slowly down its surface.

"There's a barrier!"

Realization dawned on Inabi: "No wonder the courtyard's completely sealed off."

Tetsuka rubbed his head while getting up.

Now thinking about it, maybe trying the keys wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Inabi said: "Tetsuka, keep trying the keys. I'm going to take a walk around and see if I can find any weakness in the barrier."

"Alright!" Tetsuka picked up the keys again and resumed attempting.

Meanwhile, Inabi quickened his pace, circling the private training ground rapidly.

A few minutes later,

Inabi stopped behind the private training ground.

After tapping along the way, he found a talisman marked with the character "Forbidden" at a hidden spot on the high training hall wall.

"Hmph, this barrier isn't that impressive!"

Finding the talisman so easily made Inabi chuckle proudly. He reached out to tear off the talisman sealing the barrier.

Suddenly, he raised his hand, but stopped just short of touching it and leaned in for a closer look.

He noticed a line of small characters beneath the talisman:

Break this seal — die with your kin.

"What the hell!" Inabi Uchiha's anger instantly flared up.

Without even needing to think, he knew this must've been created by Uchiha Yoncher himself!

Uchiha Shisui, Yoncher's younger brother, would absolutely never do something like this!

Now came the dilemma—

Should he tear it or not?

[Counter!]

Gritting his teeth, Inabi Uchiha spat before ripping the talisman away.

"Sizzle!"

The barrier flickered with light, and another talisman instantly materialized where the previous one had been attached.

Underneath it, those same small characters remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the talisman Inabi held burst into flames, quickly turning to ashes.

"Could this be the Five-Seal Barrier Pass Technique?"

Inabi Uchiha was on the verge of exploding.

This is inside the Uchiha clan's compound!

Was there even a need to set up something like this?

There's already a barrier outside the Uchiha estate!

Who in their right mind would dare cause trouble here?

Who exactly are you trying to keep out?

But thinking about Yoncher's grandfather Kagami Uchiha's standing in Konoha, having such a barrier actually made sense.

Hmm, this could be a problem.

Inabi Uchiha only knew a bit about the Five-Seal Barrier Pass Technique, not enough to break through it though.

He'd just ripped off the talisman, but it turned out completely useless.

Fuming with frustration, Tetsuka Uchiha stormed back to the front gate.

At the entrance, Tetsuka had already tried every single key—none of them worked.

(Speechless)

Tetsuka could feel himself losing control.

His Double Tomoe Sharingan seemed ready to evolve.

I'm gonna kill him!

Tetsuka muttered through gritted teeth, "Inabi, I swear I'll kill him!"

"Calm your face," Inabi said. "One of these keys might actually open the door."

"Huh?" Tetsuka stood frozen for a second.

Inabi continued, "The barrier at his place might be the Five-Seal Barrier Pass Technique. Besides using a key, you probably also need to know the correct hand seal to enter."

"Oh right!" Tetsuka nodded. "Inabi, do you know the hand seal for entering the barrier?"

"Nope."

"Forget it then. Let's just wait for him outside."

"Fine."

Just at that moment,

Yoncher stepped out from an alley behind them: "(Finally back!)"

Inabi and Tetsuka: (Stunned silence)
