Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Tsunade-sama, Are You Trying To Cheat?

"Yoncher!"

Tsunade's body went ice-cold. She screamed and rushed over.

"I killed a child."

"I killed a child who awakened the Triple Tomoe Sharingan!"

Tsunade felt like she was going insane.

[From Tsunade's hysterical remorse, Emotional Value +15]

Her eyes reddened as she dashed to Yoncher's side, immediately activating the Mystical Palm Technique to heal him.

But before her hands could touch him, Yoncher suddenly sat straight up!

"Ahh!"

Tsunade leapt back in shock, both startled and delighted. "You're... you're not dead?!"

"Nope."

"If you weren't dead, why were you staring blankly and motionless like that?!"

"I was just tired from fighting. Can't I take a little break?!"

"WHAM!"

Yoncher got punched again, right on the head.

His eyes welled up immediately from the pain.

In the next moment, Tsunade wrapped both arms around him, pulling him into an embrace.

[From Tsunade's tearful joy, Emotional Value +14]

Sigh, if he hadn't already known Tsunade was Hashirama Senju's granddaughter, Yoncher might have seriously questioned whether Tsunade had the Uchiha surname. How else could he explain such extreme emotional swings?

Even Obito would be kneeling and playing *Unchained Melody* by now.

Though honestly, these so-called Emotional Values meant nothing to Yoncher at this moment.

What mattered was the soft warmth and the breathless pressure against him.

That kind of feeling? Totally mesmerizing.

Once a guy steps into that kind of abyss, it's hard not to get hooked.

At that moment, Yoncher completely melted—his entire body turned soft, except for one specific part that stiffened right up.

Suddenly, Tsunade pushed him away and frowned. "What's that hard thing poking me?"

The corners of Yoncher's mouth curled into a sly grin. "Can you guess?"

Tsunade lifted his shirt and reached inside with her hand, then widened her eyes in shock.

Her hand slowly slid out, revealing a dented metal plate.

"..."

Tsunade stood frozen in disbelief.

No wonder it felt so weird earlier—

An Uchiha genius blessed with the Triple Tomoe Sharingan actually stuffed a steel plate under his clothes?

Generally speaking, regular ninja shuriken and kunai couldn't really harm someone who possessed the Sharingan.

What the hell even goes on in this kid's head?

Still, thinking about it...

Although most modern-day ninjas go light on their gear, many older generation ninja indeed wore armor.

Her grandfather, the First Hokage Hashirama Senju, wore red armor.

Her great uncle, the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju, wore blue armor.

And her teacher, the old Third Hokage, had black armor.

Additionally, most ninja from the Land of Snow also wore armor—not only to withstand harsh cold but also because the special protective qualities helped against enemies.

Well then—

Why don't you just wear a full set of armor?

Slipping a sheet of metal under your jacket looks ridiculous.

"Why are you giving me that look like I'm an idiot?" Yoncher asked, pointing at the indentation left on the plate. "If it weren't for this piece of metal, I probably would've broken several ribs just now."

Tsunade blinked, wanting to argue, yet realized he made perfect sense.

Just as she was about to chuck that iron plate, Yoncher grabbed her wrist. "Don't go tossing the iron plate around! Didn't I tell you not to throw stuff? Why won't you listen? It pollutes the place! What if some kid gets whacked? Even if you miss the kids, what if you smash some flowers or plants?"

Tsunade: "..."

Yoncher said shamelessly, "I paid 500 taels of silver for that plate! Tossing it's a total waste, Tsunade-sama. Could ya fix this dent for me?"

Clenching her jaw, Tsunade flattened the iron plate with a single punch.

Yoncher snatched it back and shoved it into his clothes.

Then, seeing tomato juice dripping from Yoncher's mouth, she punched him again on the head: "How many tomato juice packs did you even bring?!"

"Two outta three," Yoncher said, licking the last dribble from his lips and smacking like a tomato connoisseur.

Tsunade was totally speechless.

After a while, she pushed him aside: "Kid, you trying to make a monkey outta me?"

Yoncher didn't answer directly. Instead he asked, "Tsunade-sama, are you still scared of blood? After all my 'therapy,' hasn't your blood phobia gotten better at least a little?"

Tsunade fell silent.

Eagerly, Yoncher suggested, "Wanna see me slice my arm open again?"

"Don't you dare move an inch, or I'll crush you!" Tsunade snapped, eyes flashing dangerously.

Honestly, blood fear wasn't something you just shook off overnight—Yoncher lowered his head quietly.

Watching this, Tsunade felt kinda guilty. She gave his chest a light tap: "Still hurting?"

"Not really sore anymore, but my head feels dizzy," he replied, leaning his head toward her chest again.

Tsunade shot out her hand and gripped his head like a vice. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't inch forward an inch.

"Talk," Tsunade ordered. "Since you took one of my punches, what do you want in return?"

Yoncher lifted his head seriously, "All I want is for us to finally open our hearts to each other."

"What nonsense is that?" Tsunade always felt something weird about his words.

But just what felt off, she couldn't figure out.

Suddenly startled, she carefully asked, "Did something happen in your family recently?"

Awakening the [Sharingan]—and advancing its form—requires intense emotional upheaval.

Even Shisui, Yoncher's younger brother, known as "the first genius of the Uchiha clan," currently only has the [Single-Tomoe Sharingan].

But Uchiha Yoncher, who had no fame at all, already possessed the [Triple Tomoe Sharingan].

But nothing big happened to the Uchiha clan recently, right?

Plus, he hadn't even graduated from Ninja Academy yet, let alone seen real battle.

"Sigh."

"[You're asking] about my [Sharingan]?" Yoncher sighed softly. "I'm already twelve, never done anything for the village. Every time I think about it, I wanna cry like a baby... Guess that's why my [Sharingan] activated."

Tsunade: "..."

Yoncher continued, "Every day I worry about village affairs, ponder the Will of Fire, and wonder about the future of the Uchiha clan."

"Why do my eyes often contain tears? Because I love this village with such deep devotion — it burns in my soul like fire."

Tsunade: "...Those tears are probably from getting punched earlier, huh?"

Yoncher: "Where's the trust between people?"

Tsunade tilted her head slightly. "You think wearing black contacts can hide your Triple Tomoe Sharingan?"

"At close range, the immense ocular power of the Triple Tomoe Sharingan is difficult to conceal from a Jonin."

"It won't even fool a Chunin with strong sensing abilities."

"If you want to hide your Sharingan, I can teach you a Water Release Ninjutsu later. You can use it to create special contacts that mask the leaking ocular energy."

"Such a technique exists? That's awesome!" A grin spread across Yoncher's face.

"What's the big deal with hiding it anyway?"

"For love."

"I'm being serious here!"

"Better to stay sharp but keep it quiet."

"Just like that?"

"Just like that."

"Fine." Tsunade gave a slight nod.

She naturally didn't believe a word of what Yoncher said.

But the relationship between the Uchiha clan and the village had always been very delicate. It was understandable for Uchiha Yoncher to be cautious after awakening his Triple Tomoe Sharingan.

She was too lazy to bother with these matters anyway.

Thinking about the village, thinking about the Uchiha clan issues, Tsunade suddenly felt annoyed again.

At this moment, Yoncher spoke up, "Tsunade-sama, those three minutes are long gone. I won, as per our previous bet."

"Hmph! The time you used chili sauce to trick me doesn't count!"

"Even without that time, it's still been over three minutes now. Don't you care about fair play at all?"

"Pfft! Since when do I care about fair play?"

"You got me there. Guess you're just gonna cheat straight up then?"

"What nonsense! Who do you think I am? Of course I'd cheat! How else do you think I paid off all my gambling debts?"

"Right... forgot about that!"

"Tsk. You wanna talk trash to me?"

"Tsunade-sama, please don't misunderstand! If the listener were anyone else, that would indeed be swearing, but in your case, it's just stating facts."

Yoncher rubbed his cheek, clearly at a loss for words.

Until now, he still hadn't received any prompt about completing the Main Quest.

Judging by how things looked, Tsunade was genuinely planning to welsh on the bet.

"My head's killing me."

"That big soft sheep really has made a habit of welshing on bets."
