April 10, 2020-3:17 PM- A Hidden Garden
Chapel.
> Sunlight filters through a canopy of white curtains and cherry blossom trees.
A quiet location. Private. Just a handful of guests. The kind of place you'd never expect pain.
---
> Ven stands before a mirror inside the groom's room.
Adjusting his tie. Calm, but distant.
---
Best Man (friend):
> "You okay, man? You look like you're going to a funeral."
Ven (quiet grin):
> "Same suit. Different kind of death."
> They both chuckle, but Ven's eyes flick toward the window — as if he felt something.
---
> Meanwhile, Sonya sits in her dressing room, holding her stomach.
She runs her fingers across her bouquet — red and white roses.
---
Sonya (to herself, whispering):
> "We made it.
After everything… we made it."
> The stylist places her veil.
She breathes deep. The smile is real. But fragile.
---
> Fade to black for a moment as soft piano begins to play.
---
🎬 SCENE: "The Wedding Begins"
🕰️ 4:06 PM – Ceremony Begins
> Guests rise.
Sonya walks down the aisle, glowing.
Ven waits for her — wearing the suit from the boutique — tailored like a second skin.
> They meet. Hold hands.
The officiant begins.
---
Officiant:
> "We are gathered here today to witness the union—"
> Everything is soft.
Peaceful.
Dreamlike.
Ven stares at her like time is slowing down.
---
Ven (internal monologue):
> "This is real.
This is the life I promised."
---
> Suddenly—
> Camera pans to the gift table…
One black box sits at the far corner.
The ribbon perfectly tied.
> No card.
> Just… there.
---
> Ven notices it from the altar — just for a split second.
Something inside him tightens.
---
Sonya (whispering, smiling):
> "Hey.
Eyes on me, soldier."
Ven (forcing a smile):
> "Yes, ma'am."
---
> Officiant continues.
"Do you, Ven—"
> Suddenly, a power flicker.
The mic squeals.
Lights dim for half a second.
> Guests look around. Nervous chuckles.
Ven's hand subtly goes to his waistband — instinct.
---
> But the lights stabilize.
> The ceremony continues.
And they say their vows.
---
> The camera zooms out as they kiss.
Music swells.
Clapping.
Confetti.
---
> But the camera lingers…
Just a little too long…
On that black box.
> Then… fade to black.
🕰️ April 10, 2020 – 4:47 PM – Wedding Reception
> Music is playing. Guests are laughing.
Sonya is holding Ven's hand — they're surrounded by people they trust.
Even Ven… is smiling.
> It's the first time in a long time… he doesn't feel like a weapon.
> His mother leans in and kisses his cheek.
Linda (soft):
> "You look like your father today."
"He would've been proud."
Ven (grinning):
> "Let's hope he doesn't haunt me for the tie."
---
> Sonya walks toward the table of drinks — glowing, hand brushing her belly.
Ven turns to talk with a guest — a quick congratulations.
> The camera follows the black gift box as a waiter unknowingly picks it up from the gift table.
He carries it toward the center — sets it beside the bouquet arrangement.
> Clock hits 4:48.
> The ribbon loosens on its own.
---
> Close-up:
Inside the box…
a single red rose.
Underneath it…
metal.
A blinking red light.

---
> BOOM.
---
> The explosion rips through the reception.
Tablecloths catch fire. Glass shatters.
Guests scream. People hit the ground.
Blood on white chairs. Music still playing — warped.**
> Ven's ears ring.
He rises from the floor — dazed.
Eyes blurred.
There's smoke.
Heat.
---
Ven (panicked):
> "Sonya?!
Sonya!"
> He stumbles through screaming bodies.
Finds his mother on the ground — barely conscious. Blood on her face.
---
Linda (weakly):
> "Ven… son… I'm sorry…"
> He grabs her hand — just for a second — before he turns again.
Ven (yelling):
> "Sonya!!!"
> He sees her… under a collapsed table.
Her dress burned.
Blood across her stomach.
She's gasping.
> He crawls toward her — grabs her hand — pulls her close.
---
Sonya (barely breathing):
> "I told you… no big weddings…"
Ven (shaking, holding her):
> "Stay with me.
Do you hear me? You stay."
> She smiles… just once.
---
> And her hand falls limp.
---
> Ven doesn't scream.
He doesn't move.
The world burns behind him.
And he just holds her.
> Camera zooms out slowly…
From fire, broken chairs… to the black box now melted on the floor…
And that one perfect red rose — untouched.
April 11, 2020 – 7:14 AM – Ven's Apartment -After the Tragedy
Rain slides down the glass of the apartment window. Dim light fills the space. Ven sits hunched at the edge of his bed. Shirt half unbuttoned. Eyes empty.
He presses both hands into his hair, trembling. He doesn't cry — he breaks silently. Like a machine running too hot.
Beside him: a duffel bag and a rusted pistol. He opens the outer flap of the bag. Then slowly, from a side pouch, he pulls out a small wrapped bundle.
He unwraps it… A black card. No number. No name. Just a faint silver emblem: a snake coiled around a single red eye.
The moment he sees it — his hands freeze. A chill crawls up his spine.
---
🎞️ ⚡ FLASHBACK SEQUENCE: [MEMORY: 10 YEARS AGO — CASSANO SAFEHOUSE ROOFTOP – MIDNIGHT RAID]
Gunfire echoes behind him. Ven walks slowly across a bloodstained rooftop. The former Cassano leader lies dead near a metal vent.
Ven approaches. The man's body is limp. One hand curled against his chest. Fingers stiff.
Ven kneels down. Between the man's fingers — something glints. A black card. He pulls it free.
Just as he pockets the card, his eyes catch something beneath the man's torn sleeve: A tattoo — a snake encircling a red eye.
Ven stares. Silent.
YOUNGER VEN (softly):
> "Why would a Cassano carry this…?"
He slips the card into his jacket. Gunfire continues in the distance. He disappears into the night.
---
🎞️ ⚡ QUICK FLASH SEQUENCE: [FRAGMENTS — MEMORY SPIKES]
— The snake tattoo again — flashing over the dead Cassano leader's wrist. — A different hand now — alive — extending to shake Ven's in a tailored suit. — The same tattoo… only this time… on Vincent's wrist. — A flash of Vincent smirking in the church pew. — Smoke and fire — Sonya's blood. — The card. — The snake.
---
🎬 BACK TO PRESENT – VEN'S APARTMENT
Ven grips the card tighter. The rain outside his apartment feels heavier now.
> He had forgotten that night… until now. But the symbol never left him. And now he sees the truth — that face… that tattoo… Vincent.
VEN (quiet, almost broken):
> "It wasn't just a mark… it was him."
He stands in the dim apartment light. Staring out the window at the storm.
VEN (muttering):
> "All this time… that snake's been watching me."
>Then the screen fades into the next scene.
