"What kind of vampire is he?" Dante asked worriedly.
" I'm not sure but a single vampire who can fight all of us at ten percent of our power must be a force to be reckoned with."Thalia told him.
They had the unconscious Luke in a Arcaneum fueled prison which prevented him from moving or using any abilities he might have.
"Luke is a Daylighter. A special breed of vampire that can walk under the sun, and their strength is on another level."Chrome said.
"Chrome? The hell are you doing here?" Izalea asked in suprise.
" I heard you guys had captured a Daylighter so I came to see for myself and help you if need be." Chrome replied, a stern look on his face.
"Sure. Tell us what you know about Daylighters or whatever they are called."
" According to legends, a particular vampire once helped a stranded angel escape Hell. Out of gratitude, the angel gave the vampire it's blood, giving it full immunity to sunlight and most weaknesses of a normal vampire. These vampires can even walk into a person's home uninvited." Chrome briefed.
"That's a really overpowered perk. We need this vampire on our side. How rare are they?" William asked.
"One every six hundred years."
" Damn!" Thalia exclaimed.
"He might be a descendant of the first Daylighter or his sire is." Chrome explained.
"What's a sire?" Dante asked, confused.
"A vampire who turns a human to another vampire. The turned vampire can be controlled by it's sire if the sire is strong enough. "
"How the hell do you know so much about vampires?"Dante asked.
"Well, my family descends from the greatest vampire hunter ever. It's common knowledge for us." Chrome boasted.
"Shut up, Chrome. Don't mind him guys. He's been like that since we were kids." Izalea laughed.
Just then, Luke's eyes fluttered open. His eyes scanned the room for a while before they widened with panic. He couldn't talk due to the prison's restrictions but Dante could sense that his friend wanted to say something.
"Release him."
"What?" William looked surprised.
" I can prevent him from using his power so please l release him. He's suffering in there. I can tell just by looking at him." Dante pleaded.
"Fine."
William touched the barrier separating Luke from the Paladins gently and almost immediately it dissipated. Dante hurried and grabbed Luke who fell down out of sheer exhaustion.
" Hey hermano." Luke greeted weakly.
" Hey." Dante smiled.
Luke smiled b back and head-butted Dante out of the blue. The paladins immediately took fighting stances.
"Ouch! Luke!" Dante screamed.
" That's for plunging your hand in my gut." Luke laughed and stood up.
"How are you standing right now? That prison drains your physical energy. You
shouldn't even be able to talk ."Izalea said, suprise written all over her face.
" It is what it is." Luke shrugged.
" That's a dumb answer." Dante reprimanded, still rubbing his forehead.
" Hi, I'm Luke." he smiled charmingly.
" Hi Luke." the others chorused.
" Nice to meet you Luke. I'm William."William extended his hand.
Luke shook it and they both stared in each other's eyes for a while.
" Nice to meet you all." Luke waved at the Paladins.
" It's a pleasure Luke." Maru said, smiling for the first time since Dante met him.
" Is Maru smiling?! I thought he had the Morbius Syndrome!" Dante exclaimed, surprised.
Maru kicked him in the shin making him wince again.
" Anyone who can make Maru smile is a friend." Thalia said and hugged him .
" Shut up Thalia. Anyone says anything again and I'm gonna flip."Maru murmured under his breath.
" Um guys?" Chrome said.
" What is it Chrome?" Pearl asked.
" It seems the new head of the Daris subdivision is here. He wants to meet you guys." Chrome said as he opened a portal.
" Wow that's a frickin portal!" Luke gasped.
" Well, shall we enter?" William asked Luke.
Luke smiled and entered the portal with William, leaving Dante watching them weirdly.
" Is he gay?" Maru whispered.
" What?!" Dante frowned.
" You know Will is gay right?" Maru smirked mischievously.
" Is he? Tell me about it." Dante gasped.
" No." Maru responded and skimpered into the portal.
" That little..." Dante groaned in frustration and chased Maru into the portal.

" Asmodeus is going to find you and he will..."
" He will what Anovi? I'm waiting for him." Yuki grinned boyishly at the injured demon he had defeated minutes ago. He had expecting Asmodeus to be at the manor but he wasn't and Anovi had attacked him. She was not a match for him though and that resulted in her defeat.
Yuki put a finger on her forehead and immediately her body turned to meet paste.
" Hello Anuliel." a cold voice greeted him from behind.
He turned to see Asmodeus standing quietly.
" Oh hello Asmodeus! It's nice to see you after such a long time. I go by Yuki now so please drop the formality." Anuliel responded cheerfully.
" What do you want celestial being?" Asmodeus said impatiently.
" You see, I just found out that my boy was cursed by a certain demon. Do you know who it might be?" Anuliel asked quite innocently but rage was well hidden in his tone.
" About that, your son stepped on a few toes so I had to sort things out." Asmodeus replied with zero emotions.
"So it was you?"Anuliel laughed.
" It was. You're lucky I didn't kill him. Maybe I should..."
" You will do no such thing!" Anuliel commanded with so much power that Asmodeus was forced to kneel on the ground.
" So what will you do? Kill me?" Asmodeus laughed.
" Oh I won't. But Dante will and he will deliver your head to me." Anuliel smiled but the golden glow in his eyes showed his hate for the demon before him.
He suppressed the urge to slam Asmodeus' face into the ground but for the sake of Dante's life, he let him be. He just released his wings and flew away into the dying sky.

" Hello Paladins. I am Charles Bloodcall, the new director of Daris."
The Paladins just gaped at the man seated in Brane's previous office. He was incredibly handsome with grey eyes and we'll combed black hair. He looked refined and collected, with a hint of humor hidden in his smile.
"You're a vampire." Dante pointed out.
"I know Dante. Thank you for telling me." Charles laughed.
" Are you supposed to be the director of an Order that hunts your kind?" Dante asked again.
" Shut up Dante." Izalea reprimanded.
" Hi, Uncle Charles." Izalea smiled.
"Uncle what now?"Dante gasped.
