Lira stood in the grove, the faint shimmer of the newly nourished plants catching the morning sun. Fluffy brushed against her legs, purring softly. She took a deep breath, smiling.
"Serelyth," she called, looking up at her dragon friend, who had been perched atop a low branch, wings half-folded. "Are you up for a flight today?"
Serelyth's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Always," she rumbled, shifting gracefully into her humanoid form before spreading her wings. "Or should I say, always ready to take you on an adventure, little gardener?"
Lira laughed softly. "I think a flight is exactly what we need. Come on, Fluffy, up you go." She gently lifted her small feline companion, tucking him safely against her chest.
