(A/N: Bonus Chapter! Enjoy!!!!! ;)
The high-decibel screaming suddenly ceased. Zangya's face had gone pale as she stared at Karnel with suspicious uncertainty.
"Are you really not going to kill me?" After studying his expression carefully for a long moment and finding no hint of deception, she asked in a small, grieved voice.
Karnel found her reaction quite amusing. "Why would I kill you for no reason? I put my hand on your shoulder to transport you away!"
Zangya visibly relaxed, patting her chest in shock as she looked at the man who had terrified her so thoroughly.
"Let's go. I live on a blue planet in the Northern Galaxy that's populated by ordinary humans," Karnel warned with sudden seriousness, his murderous aura flaring briefly. "Be honest when you return with me. You have quite the criminal record. If I discover that you've been killing people on that planet while I'm present, I won't forgive you!"
"I understand, sir!" Zangya replied aloud, though privately she thought, 'When you're not around, I'll escape instantly and run as far as possible. I don't believe you can find me in this vast universe.'
Karnel nodded, confident that with his current strength, he had no fear of her tricks. He placed his hand on Zangya's shoulder and prepared to begin teleportation back to Earth.
"Wait, sir! Please wait!"
A voice suddenly called out. It was one of the three Bargonian warriors trying to get his attention. Karnel was eager to return home, but he slowed his movements and stopped, looking over with puzzled eyes.
Kaku pulled his two brothers behind him and ran toward Karnel with joy radiating from their faces. With a trembling voice, he asked, "Sir, may I... may I ask you a few questions?"
Karnel's impression of these three Bargonian warriors had improved considerably, their brotherly bond reminded him of relationships he'd valued in the past. He smiled warmly. "What is it?"
Gatlin remained puzzled about why his eldest brother was suddenly acting so ecstatically excited.
There was also something inexplicable in Garo's eyes as he looked at Karnel, as if he too was remembering something important.
"Sir, I want to ask you..." Kaku's voice trembled with hope. "Did your ancestors include a very powerful hero?"
'What?! Could it be that...'
After Kaku's question, Garo's memory finally crystallized. He stared at the man before him in disbelief. Upon closer inspection, he did indeed resemble the enormous statue carved in their homeworld's Holy Palace.
"Is that what Big Brother is talking about?" Gatlin was also startled, shouting with horror to Garo, who seemed to have remembered something crucial.
"Yes, the Saint!" Kaku explained emotionally to his younger brother Gatlin. "This is a hero who saved our Bargonian Clan and the entire Western Galaxy in ancient times, according to the legends passed down through our people."
"I heard from our great-grandfather that in that chaotic era, all the people throughout the Western Galaxy lived under the shadow of a terrifying race that enjoyed consuming sentient beings. Everyone lived lives that appeared comfortable but were actually as miserable as livestock awaiting slaughter."
"Then, suddenly one year, a man appeared. In a very short time, he completely eliminated and destroyed this terrifying race that had made all universal life tremble with fear, using overwhelming force. Then he disappeared without a trace."
Kaku spoke with deep emotion. He had loved reading since childhood, devouring all the books recording ancient secret history collected by his great-grandfather, giving him knowledge of their clan's deepest secrets.
Gatlin was shocked to hear such earth-shattering news and froze momentarily. After a long silence, he came to his senses and said in amazement, "Could it be that the person before us is the descendant of the saint our clan has been tasked with finding?"
The scholarly Kaku swallowed hard and continued, "It's very likely. According to the records in the ancient texts, the saint never appeared again after he disappeared that day. Then our Bargonian ancestors followed his instructions and took control of the entire Western Galaxy, guarding the hard-won peace he had secured."
"Although they dominated the entire Western Galaxy, our ancestor was unwilling to become its emperor, so the position was left vacant. Before his death, he left a will for the tribe, strictly stating that no one from Bargonia could sit on the supreme throne of emperor, and tasked the people of ancient times to find the saint or his descendants, a mission that has been passed down to this day."
Gatlin fell silent, licking his suddenly dry lips. "No wonder our father and grandfather have been telling us since we were old enough to understand that if we ever met a man who looked very similar to the statue in the Holy Palace, we must respectfully invite him back to the Holy Land of Bargonia and report to the clan elders immediately. I thought they were just being overly cautious, but it turns out this was the truth behind their words."
"When you were little, I asked you to read more books with Garo and me, but you never listened. Fortunately, Kaku was here to remember!" Garo patted his chest in relief, continuously studying the mysterious man in the distance who bore such resemblance to their legendary saint.
'He really does look like the saint... He must be a descendant of the saint!'
Without waiting for Gatlin to reply, Garo pulled him forward to approach their potential savior's heir.
Karnel felt somewhat shocked. 'What hero? What saint?'
"There are no great heroes among my ancestors. I think you may have made a mistake," he replied, looking at the excited Bargonian warriors as if they'd lost their minds.
"No... no, I mean, are your ancestors still alive? Oh, that's not right!" Kaku became incoherent in his excitement, unsure of what he was actually trying to say.
Sensing a terrifying murderous aura rising from Karnel's form, the other warrior looked at this increasingly agitated Bargonian fighter with obvious displeasure.
Garo, who had rushed over quickly, saw that his brother Kaku seemed to have angered this mysterious powerful man who might represent their saint with inappropriate words. He hurried to explain, "Kaku didn't mean any offense! What he wanted to ask is: did your ancestors come to our Bargonia long, long ago and save our people and all life throughout the Western Galaxy?"
'A long time ago? Millions of years ago, in the ancient era!'
Karnel's mind drifted back to those distant days when he had lived alongside Cerror and the others in ancient times, as well as the elite Bargonian warriors who had died tragically at the hands of Kairos. He was filled with emotion, though he could no longer remember many of their names.
