Episode 5 – "The Hidden Legacy"
[Scene 1 – Academy Hallway, Early Morning]
Kaito walks through an unusually quiet corridor. Light filters in through tall windows. In his hand is the same note Lupin left him:
"You've tasted the storm. Now survive the hunt."
Kaito (thinking):
"He's not just testing me… he's warning me."
He turns the corner—standing ahead is Coach Kurobane.
Kurobane (flatly):
"Ren. It's time you met the wolves."
[Scene 2 – The Ghost Court]
An elevator leads Kaito deep underground. When it opens, he steps into a large circular underground arena with white walls, metal fixtures, and six spotlights focused on a circular turf.
Five other players stand inside, already waiting. Some masked. One of them is Lupin.
Coach Kurobane (standing above):
"This is Ghost Court. Off the record. Off the grid. The trials Hiro once took… and survived. You want to carry his legacy? Earn it here."
A large digital board flashes:
GHOST PROTOCOL – STAGE ONE: Survival Scramble

6 Players
5 Minutes
Score to stay. Fail to vanish.
⚔️ Trial Begins ⚔️
Buzzer sounds.
Immediately chaos erupts. Everyone goes for the ball. Lupin moves first, slicing through two defenders like wind.
Kaito shadows him. He doesn't try to take the ball… not yet.
One player (masked) lunges—Kaito slides in, intercepts. He cuts left, twists, and fires.
Goal. 1 Point.
Coach Kurobane (watching):
"He's reading the chaos… not controlling it. Just like Hiro did."
2 minutes remain.
Lupin and Kaito are the last two with points. Others are slowing down.
Suddenly one masked player throws the ball instead of kicking. Kaito dodges just in time—the ball crashes into a wall and explodes in smoke.
Kaito (coughing):
"What the hell…?"
Kurobane (gritting teeth):
"Someone tampered with the trial…"
[Scene 3 – Infirmary, Later]
Two of the players are unconscious from the explosion. Kaito sits beside Yuna.
Yuna:
"They called it an 'accident,' but we both know this wasn't."
Kaito:
"Someone wanted that trial to fail."
Yuna (handing him a file):
"Then maybe this will help. I stole it from the archive… it's the full Ghost Protocol document. Hiro's name is all over it."
Kaito opens it—he sees logs of Hiro's final match, a list of recruits… and a code name:
WOLF ZERO – ACTIVE SUBJECT: HIRO REN
Status: Missing in action
[Scene 4 – Yuna's Dorm, Night]
Yuna stares at a board covered in red string, pinned photos, and coded notes. One photo has Hiro circled, and beside him, a blurry figure labeled: "Subject X"
Yuna (to herself):
"If Subject X survived… then maybe Hiro didn't die. Maybe he disappeared."
[Scene 5 – Elias's Private Gym]
Elias punches a wall repeatedly. Blood runs from his knuckles.
Elias (to himself):
"Kaito's rising too fast. He's either chosen… or cursed."
A voice from the shadows answers him:
Lupin (calm):
"You fear the fire because you've lived in ice."
Elias (spinning):
"You spying on me now?"
Lupin (walking out):
"I was watching. There's a difference."
[Scene 6 – Midfield Practice Grounds]
Kaito and Riku train together. Both dripping with sweat.
Riku:
"You didn't flinch in Ghost Court. You think Hiro would be proud?"
Kaito (quiet):
"I don't know. He didn't want this for me."
Riku:
"Then why are you doing it?"
Kaito:
"Because someone has to finish what he started."
[Scene 7 – Cafeteria, Next Day]
News spreads: another player has disappeared after Ghost Court.
Student A:
"That's three this week."
Student B:
"They say someone's picking off Ghost survivors."
On a nearby table, Lupin sits alone… unmoving.
[Scene 8 – Secret Roof at Dusk]
Yuna and Kaito sit side by side, watching the sky bleed into orange.
Yuna:
"When I first joined the academy, I wanted to coach… not uncover conspiracies."
Kaito (softly):
"And I just wanted to play football."
Yuna:
"What do you want now?"
Kaito (clutching Hiro's notebook):
"To become someone strong enough… to protect what he left behind."
[Final Scene – Hidden Surveillance Room]
Coach Kurobane watches recordings of every match.
Next to him stands a woman in a black coat. Her badge reads:
"AZAMI REN – Director of Defense Division. Kaito's mother."
Azami:
"He's ready."
Kurobane:
"He's still a boy."
Azami (firm):
"He's a Ren. And the game is changing."
