Chapter 2 - Chapter two

Chapter 2: Ninja Assassination Tactical Troops!

"Sure enough, it's a system."

Seeing the information on the personal panel, Luo Tian suddenly felt a surge of confidence. His pale face couldn't help but show a rare, relaxed smile.

With the help of the system, he believed survival in this turbulent world of pirates, Warlords of the Sea, and World Government was no longer a problem.

But right after, Luo Tian couldn't help but frown slightly. Just looking at the personal panel, it wasn't immediately clear what functions the system possessed.

Luckily, the system seemed to respond to his thoughts. A cold, mechanical voice echoed again in his mind:

"Ding! The host can increase the national level by expanding the territory and citizen population. Each time the national level increases, the host gains one Legion Summon Ticket—used to summon elite combat troops from alternate planes to serve under the host's command.

Since the host has not yet attained full sovereign authority currently a prince, not king national level access is restricted. Please fulfill conditions to unlock control.

Ding! The host can also accumulate National Prestige. Each level increase in prestige grants an Exclusive Draw, which allows summoning of powerful skills, abilities, or items from parallel worlds. Prestige includes the host's renown within the Fielding Kingdom, the kingdom's global influence, and its recognition by organizations like the World Government.

Note: National Prestige system is locked until the host becomes monarch. Please attain kingship to proceed."

"Raise the national level to summon legions. Raise prestige to draw unique abilities or items… but before that, I need to be king, right?"

Luo Tian muttered to himself, reflecting on the systematic explanation.

In other words, to grow stronger, he needed to expand his rule—seize lands, gain people, win battles. Conquest was key.

The more he seized, the more powerful the legions he could command and with that, the greater his military strength.

"It's just... I need to become the king first."

Luo Tian rubbed his forehead wearily, recalling how the ministers in the palace were still scrambling for power and title, even with the kingdom on the brink of collapse from pirate raids and the Simmons Family's assault. It gave him a headache.

As things stood, he lacked the authority and strength to control anything.

"System, isn't there at least a newbie gift package or something?" Luo Tian grumbled, half-jokingly.

Silence.

But then, just as Luo Tian clenched his fists and resolved to investigate whether he could claim kingship by force—the system spoke again.

"Ding! Detected: host is in imminent crisis. Newbie Gift Pack is being dispatched."

"Ding! Novice Gift Pack successfully delivered. Congratulations to the host: Legion Summon – Ninja Assassination Tactical Troops (Anbu Unit) unlocked!"

Woosh!

A flash of white light filled the room. In the next instant, Luo Tian's spacious royal chamber became crowded with figures that hadn't been there a moment ago.

Clad in pitch-black shinobi gear, each wore white armor harnesses and featureless animal-themed masks. Despite their silence, their collective aura was so intense it made it difficult to breathe.

"This is…"

Luo Tian was stunned. His jaw dropped as he counted dozens—no, hundreds of warriors standing before him in absolute discipline. If the royal chamber had been smaller, it would've been too packed to breathe.

The one at the forefront wore a wolf mask, had long silver-white hair, and carried a short blade on his back. He stepped forward and knelt on one knee.

"Ninja Assassination Tactical Unit Commander—White Fang pays respects to His Royal Highness."

"White Fang?"

Luo Tian's eyes widened. He looked at the man and shouted in disbelief, "You're Hatake Sakumo?!"

"Yes, Your Highness," the masked man answered, still kneeling with respect.

"Then these are… Konoha's Anbu?"

Luo Tian gestured in shock at the troops behind White Fang. They looked exactly like elite ninja from the hidden villages in another world.

"Konoha? Anbu? I do not understand. We serve only the Fielding Kingdom. The Assassination Tactical Unit—Anbu is a special operations force loyal to Your Highness alone."

White Fang seemed puzzled for a moment, then bowed his head again.

Luo Tian quickly opened his personal panel and accessed the Legion tab.

"Just as I thought."

Luo Tian closed the panel, his heart thudding with excitement. The so-called 'legion' from the system wasn't just some faceless army—it had summoned Konoha's elite Anbu, complete with White Fang at the helm.

He shivered slightly at the possibilities. If the next draw could summon forces like the Akatsuki, the Gotei 13, or even Saint Seiya's Gold Saints, what heights could his power reach?

Although he didn't understand how the system rewrote their identities to serve him and erase their past affiliations, Luo Tian didn't care. What mattered was that this force—this elite military unit was now under his command.

He might still be a prince, but with White Fang beside him, he feared neither the Marines nor Yonko crews.

"Everyone, rise."

Luo Tian inhaled deeply, steadying himself and raising his hand.

"Yes, Your Highness."

In unison, the Anbu stood, silent and swift.

Luo Tian gave a satisfied nod. He shifted, about to step out of bed and issue his first orders—only to forget about the wounds slashing across his back. Agonizing pain shot through him and he gasped, nearly collapsing again.

"Xiu, assist His Highness with medical treatment," White Fang ordered without turning.

"Yes." A slim Anbu member stepped forward and bowed respectfully.

"You can heal?" Luo Tian asked with effort.

"Yes, Your Highness. As Anbu operatives often face extreme danger, each squad includes a medical-nin trained in advanced field treatment."

Xiu gently helped Luo Tian lie back down. "Please remain still, Your Highness."

"Thank you for this," Luo Tian replied, surprised by the ninja's soft tone.

"Serving you is our purpose, Your Highness."

Xiu rolled up Luo Tian's garments, exposing the dried, blood-caked wound across his back. "The injury is serious but the meridians are intact. I will begin the treatment now."

She formed two rapid seals with her hands. A soft blue glow—chakra gathered at her palm, and she pressed it gently against Luo Tian's wound.

"Mmh… that feels… amazing."

A wave of relief washed over Luo Tian's face. The pain ebbed almost instantly, replaced by a warm, tingling numbness. The hideous wound slowly faded into a pale scar.

Ten minutes later, Xiu withdrew her hand.

"Treatment complete, Your Highness. The wound has fully closed. There will be no complications."

Luo Tian tested his movements and twisted his torso no pain. He looked over his shoulder. The wound had vanished.

"Good. Very good. Excellent!"

Luo Tian sprang to his feet, his strength restored. He looked around at his loyal Anbu, his confidence soaring.

With such power what threat could the Simmons Family possibly pose? Who needed protection from the Marines or World Government? His own tactical force was already superior to many pirate crews on the Grand Line.

"You all—"

But just as Luo Tian was about to speak, the door burst open. The young maid from earlier stumbled inside, her face pale and stricken.

"Your Highness! The Simmons Family—they're here!"
