Chapter Forty-Eight: The Deal
There was no other choice for Reign left…he needed to protect what was important to him.
He was looking at his watch, and then at his phone, standing outside just near the grand entrance of the gala venue, hiding his face away from people.
Reign was supposed to meet a woman from the event who was known to blackmail anyone handling sensitive information.
"Being late isn't something I'm in favour of," Reign furrowed his eyebrows.
But unfortunately, this lady didn't care about Reign's comments.
Forming another nod, she came closer. That's when Reign smelled that this snake was still holding a coffee cup that was full of champagne, strangely, she offered another cool nod.
"Mr. Kraus."
He stepped forward. "Ms. Shaw."
She placed her cup on a small bench and crossed her arms. Reign noticed her tensing one shoulder.
"I appreciate you meeting me," Reign lowered his eyebrows, though he sounded more tighter than usually.
