Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Rebirth of Annihilation.

Chapter 1: The Rebirth of Annihilation.

I couldn't believe reality, for a moment. The Primordial of Annihilation? Vaelthar? He was here in front of me. To confirm my suspicion, I asked him a question.

"Such monstrous power… Are you, perhaps, Vaelthar? The Primordial of Annihilation?" I asked, my voice calm despite the devastation before me. Fear had no place here because the moment I showed fear, I will be crumbled into dust.

Vaelthar stopped for a moment, taking in my words. "I see, you know of me huh?" He said, as he looked down at the ground towards me, answering my question. "Not many are aware of me. However, to answer your question…"

He spread his arms wide, his presence suffocating. "Indeed, I am Vaelthar. The Primordial of Annihilation and the Progenitor of the entire Annihilot race."

"Now, as you have received your answer. Let us continue."

Before I could react, he dashed toward me at an unfathomable speed—so fast that he seemed invisible. If I had to assume, I would say he was moving at sound speed currently or perhaps even faster.

A sharp gasp escaped me as I barely tried to dodge, but the impact still caught my arm. A searing pain shot through me.

"Gah!" I yelped, clutching my wounded arm.

Vaelthar watched the slight yelp, I had made from the attack received. "I seemed to have judged you too early, perhaps."

He raised a hand, dark energy crackling around his palm before forming into a deadly beam. It's aura was suffocating, as if composed entirely of both matter and anti matter. With no expression visible through his mask, he fired it directly at me.

My eyes shifting into a glowing silver hue. The air around me shimmered as time slowed for everything except myself, allowing me to evade the deadly beam just in time.

Vaelthar tilted his head, intrigued. "Interesting… I, indeed judged you too early, it seems."

"How was it? I call it, Moonlit Stasis." I said, naming my technique to the Primordial that stood before me. Not expecting him to understand it just in one look.

"I see. Interesting." Vaelthar answered. Intrigued by the technique. However, his next words sent a shiver down my spine. "A technique that slows down time around you to increase your perception speed. It is, indeed a clever trick."

He explained, Moonlit Stasis's nature just from looking at it once. Without hesitation, he conjured a dark energy storm, its radius vast enough to engulf the entire battlefield.

I attempted to use Moonlit Stasis once more to escape, but something felt different.

Before I could react, time snapped back to normal, and the storm struck me full force.

"What—Argh!" I gasped as pain surged through my body.

Vaelthar watched, his tone devoid of any sympathy or pity. As he explained, what happened. "My attacks don't just cause damage; they absorb energy. The larger the attack, the more energy it drains of yours."

I could feel it. The energy was being sucked right out of me, leaving me struggling to even remain on my feet. The beam, the blast, and now this storm… Each attack had left me weaker than before.

I almost collapsed to my knees, trembling. Such a monster of pure power… The thought haunted me as I stood there, barely able to move. But then, my gaze shifted at something on me for a moment. And my expression soon turned into a cold glare.

Vaelthar stepped closer, his shadow looming over me. "Time to end this," he murmured, summoning his Annihilots and directing them toward me.

He didn't expected any resistance from me, so he stepped closer. However, before he could proceed any further. One of the Annihilots that he sent towards me, was sent flying away. He was baffled for a moment.

Suddenly, more Annihilots were getting launched out of my direction. By the time, Vaelthar noticed it. Almost all the Annihilots he sent at me were launched away. From my blows I struck them with, bare handed.

Vaelthar was about to think for some possible reason, for how I was managing to do that after getting weakened. Then he saw it, a cold glare on my face with a dark expression.

Well this is intresting. He thought, trying to understand the reason for this sudden power boost and change of mood.

Just as he was about to attack again, a shot struck him in the chest, faster than light. Vaelthar staggered for a moment, as he looked above in the air towards the direction of the shot. At the same time, massive vines erupting from the ground, impaling every single Annihilot in the whole Nation.

From a large vine out of the ground. A female human-like figure, her hair white and long reaching her back. She wore a green dress covering her arms and legs completely. A white high neck underneath. Her eyes emerald-green. A crown of leaves over her head and waist. My Mother, Yuren Xia. The Primordial of Life and the Progenitor of the Humans and Dryads race.

A Primordial could be the Progenitor of multiple race at once, but it was depended on the Primordial that was being talked about. Some like Vaelthar were of only one, while others like Yuren Xia were of two.

"You alright, sweetheart?" My mother, Yuren Xia, leaned down slightly beside me, her voice laced with concern. Her hands glowed softly as she healed my wounds.

"Just… exhausted," I muttered, as I sighed and looked above as well.

Vaelthar's expression darkened. His expression however, not noticeable. "You," He spat, venom dripping from the single word. Hovering above him, exuding an overwhelming presence, was none other than Astraeus Caelren — my father.

The Primordial of Balance and the Progenitor of the Angel race.

He held a great-sword in his left hand. His figure a majestic look of purple and silver coloured coat. A black suit underneath the majestic coat. A pair of white angelic wings on his back. His eyes violet in color with short brown hairs.

Vaelthar stared, his confidence undeterred. However, instead of attacking. He just simply conjured a summoning orb in his palm. It's surface dark yet shining. "Don't think I won't be back. I am simply checking the power of each Nation right now upon my return. Here take this." He tossed the orb to the ground.

With a quick action, he created a shockwave out of himself to momentarily stun everyone's movement, as he created a space-time pathway behind him and left. The path disappearing, when he leftm

The orb on the ground shook for a moment, before it exploded into a dark smoke. As a giant shadow appeared from within the smoke. A large limb came out, like a dragon's leg. Before the whole monster itself came. It's wings completely mirroring the void. Eyes white with no pupils. It's scales shiny under the sunlight and black in color.

Astraeus was about to charge an attack. However, I stopped him. "Father don't!" He stopped, as both him and Yuren Xia looked at me to ask about this. Before they stopped when the saw the cold look on my face. I continued. "Allow me to take some actions."

Both Primordials were confused at the sight of their daughter's expression. It wasn't something they had not seen before, but they weren't sure about why she was behaving like this. With a sigh, Yuren Xia gave her permission. "Just do it quick."

I dashed, the moment I was granted the permission. The dragon let out a deafening roar, its maw opening wide as a destructive beam made up of 'Anti Matter', surged towards me. It planned to end me in one hit.

I, however, punched the ground hard. Like with so much force, the street split apart from underneath, the flying rocks hitting the beast under its jaw causing it to veer to the side.

Before it could recover, I buried one of my hand inside the now splitted street, and picked up a large piece marble out of it and threw it at it's head, stunning it for a moment.

I, appeared in front of its face all of a sudden. My expression one of a gentle look that showed little to no remorse. "Your master is gone, now. So, you will be getting punished in his place." The words left my mouth. As I grabbed it by it's mouth. And slammed it to the ground, burrying it further into the ground.

(From here on, Lunaria's POV will be third person now, not first person.)

Astraeus and Yuren Xia were watching awkwardly, as they tried to think of a reason for why their daughter was so mad, currently. Yuren Xia's gaze shifted to something underneath a broken rock. She lifted up the stone and saw a book underneath, half destroyed. She put the stone aside, and picked up the book.

Opening the first page of the half burnt book, her expression turned into one of realization. I see. That poor dragon will have to face the wrath of the, Knowledge Seeker, now. She thought.

Holding the book close to her chest, she leaned towards Astraeus's and whispered into his ear, awkwardly. He flinched for a moment when he heard what she said. "You mean to say, he accidentally destroyed that book too?" Yuren Xia nodded, awkwardly scratching her cheek slightly.

"..."

"..."

"..... That beast is doomed, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is my dear..."

Astraeus sighed. "Vaelthar, accident destroyed Lunaria's book and now that poor dragon will pay for it." He muttered. "There are three things that can make Lunaria mad. The easiest among them being, is ruining anything she uses to gain knowledge."

"Everyone knows, that she will not hesitate to even kill a catastrophe while handicapped, if it means that she will get anything that is related to knowledge that intrests her." Yuren Xia shared. Knowing well of her daughter's habits, who was currently summoning and launching thousands to millions of spears made of ice on the poor beast.

"Out of all our kids we took in."

"And raised."

"She is a different level of monster." Both of them said, knowing well that among all the kids they took in, as Primordials couldn't reproduce themselves. Lunaria was something else entirely when it come to what she liked and hated.

"And the Despair, used to wonder. Why do they call her the 'Knowledge Seeker'. She is greedy for knowledge, and would do anything for it." Astraeus chuckled slightly. Looking awkwardly at Lunaria who was approaching the dragon.

The poor beast tried to crawl away, but Lumaria grabbed its tail. The dragon turned its head slightly in fear, whimpering, as Lunaria still had that same dark smile on her face. "I am not done yet, dear~" That was the last thing, the dragon heard from her mouth before it faced the most cruelsome fate in its whole life.
