Rosalie was radiant today.
"Let me tell you a joke," she announced loudly in the office. "Cici's best friend has this massive birthmark on her face—and she's actually dreaming about dating the handsome Sun Yiming."
Laughter erupted.
Celia ignored them and walked straight into her office. Moments later, Sun Yiming followed her in.
"Celia," he said, "tell Fu Yingying that we're done. Tell her to stop bothering me."
Then he smirked smugly. "Also, do you really think I lost out in this? You know where Chloe's dad works?"
Celia glanced at him. "Where?"
"At the Fu Group!" Sun Yiming boasted. "And he's a trusted confidant of President Fu."
Celia raised an eyebrow. What a coincidence.
"Congratulations," she said calmly. "So the reason you came running to me yesterday… was because you were scared Yingying might ask for her money back? Don't forget—she's spent over a million yuan on you."
Sun Yiming's smug expression faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered and sneered, "Talk is cheap. Do you have any proof of that money?"
"No, of course not," Celia replied. "You were smart about that. You never let her transfer money electronically—you always insisted on cash."
Sun Yiming grinned wickedly. "It was all voluntary. I never forced her. Look at her—how could a girl like that possibly date someone like me? Dating a good-looking guy costs money, doesn't it? And she got more and more stingy anyway. Turns out, she's from a regular family. Totally average. Not even close to Chloe Zhao."
Celia gave him a knowing smile. "I hope you won't regret it someday."
"Regret?" He scoffed. "Why would I regret it?"
He walked out, his self-satisfaction oozing with every step.
Once he was gone, Celia took out her phone and opened her chat with Nathaniel Fu. Since he had unblocked himself using her phone the night before, she sent him a message:"Do you have any employees with the last name Zhao?"
Nathaniel responded almost immediately."I asked my assistant to check."Two minutes later:"Zhao Lei. He's one of the company drivers."
That was it.
Nathaniel usually drove himself, but the Fu Group had several drivers—Zhao Lei was one of them.
Zhao Qian's father.That was the "confidant" of President Fu she had bragged about?
······Celia returned to the Fu family estate. Mrs. Fu immediately called her up to Fu Yingying's room.
"Cici, look!"
Yingying turned around slowly. The large birthmark that had once covered her cheek was completely gone. Her soft oval face now looked bright, delicate, and strikingly beautiful.
"Oh my God," Celia gasped in joy. "Yingying, you're gorgeous!"
She pulled her into a tight hug.
Yingying's eyes shimmered with tears. The birthmark she had carried since birth… was finally gone. She felt like she'd been reborn.
"Cici, Second Madam… thank you. It's all because of the fragrance pill you gave me."
Celia smiled and gently wiped Yingying's tear-stained face with her fingertips. "Come on, don't cry. You're not the one who should be crying now."
Yingying blinked. "Huh?"
Mrs. Fu leaned in. "Cici, what do you mean?"
Celia smirked. "It's time to deal with that shameless couple."
"How?" Mrs. Fu asked eagerly.
"Isn't Yingying's birthday coming up?" Celia's eyes sparkled. "Let's throw her a birthday party."
Mrs. Fu's eyes lit up. "That's perfect! Nobody knows Yingying is the Fu family's daughter. This is the perfect time to make it public. We'll throw a grand party for our little princess—invite everyone, and let Yingying make her dazzling debut!"
