"Zane, before Nathaniel left for his business trip, he bought a princess hairpin in Wangfujing. It must be for Celia. When have you ever seen your brother spoil a girl with such a small gift? Don't bother about who Celia is—Nathaniel's clearly pampering her now. He's in a great mood. Just avoid running into her."
"I know, Shaun," Zane Song replied casually, clearly not taking the warning seriously.
Soon after, Celia received a call from the hospital and rushed there immediately.
Outside her grandmother's ward, several bodyguards dressed in black stood watch. Wanda Su was there too, accompanied by a man sitting confidently with legs crossed.
Celia recognized him instantly — it was Zane Song, Nathaniel's close brother and the powerful heir of the Song family.
"Celia, you're here," Wanda greeted with a fake smile.
Celia's eyes turned cold and sharp as arrows. "Cousin, why did you bring so many people into my grandmother's ward?"
Wanda ignored the question and instead introduced, "Celia, this is Mr. Song."
Zane stood up and approached Celia. He glanced at the scars marring her face and sneered, "Clown girl, you're ugly as sin but sure like to seduce men. You've seduced the wrong one this time, so today I'll teach you a lesson — pull your grandmother's oxygen mask and kick her out of the hospital."
"What?!" Celia stared at him with frost in her eyes. "You dare?"
"See if I don't," Zane said arrogantly, raising his hand.
Immediately, one of the bodyguards reached out and removed the oxygen mask from Celia's grandmother's face.
Celia's pupils contracted in horror. "Grandma!"
Zane stood before her with a cruel smile, voice dropping to a menacing whisper. "Clown girl, stop seducing my brother. You're not worthy. Take your grandma back to the countryside."
Celia's grandmother was her soft spot, her deepest vulnerability. No one was allowed to hurt her.
Celia's eyes turned to ice, cold enough to freeze the air.
Without hesitation, her slender hand shot out and grabbed Zane's shoulder. In one swift move, she bent her knees and rammed her body upward into his crotch.
The move was lightning fast—no one could react in time.
"Where were you raised? Your parents must have failed you. Looks like I have to teach you a lesson!" she hissed.
Zane leapt up, clutching himself in pain. Damn, this clown girl was trying to cripple him!
"Mr. Song!" Wanda gasped, stunned that Celia dared to attack the Song family prince.
Zane scowled, pointing at Celia with a dark face. "You clown girl from the countryside, you have no idea how high the sky is or how deep the earth is. No hospital in Yecheng will admit your grandmother anymore. Pack up and go back to your village. Let's move!"
The group turned and left.
Celia quickly checked her grandmother's pulse. Thanks to the heart medication, her grandmother's heartbeat remained stable despite the oxygen mask being removed, but the mask needed to be reconnected as soon as possible.
Celia took her grandmother and left the hospital. Other hospitals refused to admit them, intimidated by Zane's influence.
After some thought, Celia took out her phone and dialed.
A gentle, charming male voice answered, "Hello, CiCi."
"Brother, how soon can your fastest medical team get here?" Celia asked urgently.
"What's going on?" he laughed lightly. "Weren't you supposed to be incognito in Yecheng? Why the fuss—and why are you playing with men?"
